Loving hands? More like lethal hands. My horrible experience with Ms. Cortez started in the beginning of January when I brought my dog in for an ear infection where she administered a lethal dose of Kenalog 10. Shortly after my dog was given this injection he went into Ketoacidosis and developed pancreatitis and we were told he was not a diabetic but would nonetheless need insulin for the rest of his life. He is only three years old. Upon further research into this drug we discovered diabetes is a side effect of the drug that we were not told about, we did not give informed consent, in fact we were not told about any side effects or given any documentation discussing side effects for what they injected him with. A few days after the injection, we called Loving Hands to talk about his increased urination and we were told nothing he was given would have increased his urination. Ms. Cortez was negligent as she did not provide any details regarding possible side effects. The other staff was incompetent as they did not know the injection increased urination. When my husband and I asked Ms. Cortez about this particular side effect she denied any knowledge of it. (we noticed she clears her throat a lot when she is about to make a false or dishonest statement so pay attention). Then, to add insult to injury, she accused us of just trying to receive treatment for free after we already paid 800 dollars upfront for his treatment and we never asked for a refund. She made this accusation based on the simple fact that me and husband needed to speak privately about our finances and how we were going to pay for what was happening to our pet and told her we would call her back. She used this as an opportunity to make it appear as though we were trying to scam our way out of payment. To use that against us was unfair, unprofessional appalling and disappointing. Up until this incident we were bringing both our dogs to their facilities. We even purchased our wellness plan from them so it was never about wanting free services. It was about the poor, neglectful, unprofessional, UNETHICAL services we received and we were simply asking Ms.Cortez to take responsibility for her actions and remedy the situation. We asked for an ounce of empathy and good customer service which we did not receive. On her website she prides herself on maintaining excellent communication with clients, however, we had no such experience with her in that regard. When she called to speak to my husband and I, I asked her what could have caused this and even she kept admitting how strange it was that my dog became more ill because he was so young. Again she kept denying knowledge of what could have caused it and continued to nervously clear her throat several times. She refused to assume accountability of what was a clear error in judgment or at the very least, gross negligence on her part. This horrible “veterinarian” almost killed my pet with no shame. We will never take either of our dogs here again and we STRONGLY urge anyone who has a pet to do the same.

Loving Hands came highly recommended. I had a sick cat that needed medical attention when I first arrived at the veterinary hospital I was impressed before I even walked into their office. The waiting room was split into two parts one entrance was for cats and the other dogs. I visit to the vet hospital is stressful enough on a pet and the last thing my sick cat needed was a dog running up to his crate. I have never seen that before and thought it was a great idea. I was welcomed by the receptionist Crystal and made me feel welcome. I met with Dr. Della Torre she was very sweet with my cat and was very knowledgeable in her field. I had limited funds but cared for my cat very much. She offered different ways to move forward with the cats illness. I felt like my cat was in good hands and was not pressured to make decisions on how to move forward. Upon my second visit I met with Dr. Sanchez unfortunately the results to my cats tests were not good. Dr Sanchez explain to me my cats test results to my cat test were not good. Dr. Sanchez explain to me may cat test results in a way I could understand them. Shes very knowledgeable and mad me feel comfortable in my decision. She was very considerate and sincere on how I was feeling and was gentle with my cat. My third visit with my cat was the day that every pet owner dreads. It was the day I was going to euthanize my cat. Crystal met me at the door and was very sweet. She set me up in a room that was already for me and said to take my time on saying goodbye. Dr. Della Torre talk to me about what she would be doing and what to expect. She was patient and understanding about my difficult time. The staff at Loving Hands made a horrible day bearable for me. They were amazing to me and my cat. I felt very comforted as I left the veterinary hospital.

I rescued a dog and took him here for an immediate check up. They said he "didnt look too bad". He had an obvious skin issue, the whole back of him was covered in scabs. They gave him an allergy shot, his vaccines, and gave him a bath (the bath was only because I was insistent that he needed one, they didnt seem to think he needed one.), and gave me some special shampoo. I felt uneasy about their diagnosis so I opted for a second opinion. I took him to another vet, that had been highly recommended by about a dozen friends, and they confirmed my worry. He had a terrible skin issue that needed to be addressed right away. We got him everything he needed and hes doing great now. I fear we would have had a long, and costly, road had we continued his care here.

All good things must come to an end. So grateful Martha Fernandez thought of me when this event came up. It was lots of fun and a complete success for everyone involved. Looking forward to participating in other events in the near future. The #LovingHands #AnimalHospital has an incredible staff of compassionate people. They have the best interest of the animals at heart and follow it up with great customer service. If you missed this chance to check out the facility dont miss the next one. Its well worth it. Thanks again to everyone at Loving Hands!!!

Dr. Sanchez and staff are wonderful and I would recommend this vet office as they are very caring and understanding. This is our fourth vet office we have taken our dog and we have decided that this is the best one to take care of our dog who is sick with a lifetime disease. They are reasonable and Dr. Sanchez has gotten to know our dog so well she can tell when he is in pain or sick. The best doctor ever! Thank you Loving Hands for taking care of our baby.

Really surprised to see negative reviews. I’ve brought my pets here several times and everybody is always so professional and helpful. I even brought my sick cat back after seeing a specialist they recommended. I liked loving hands better! Dr. Sanchez and Dr. Fong are great. Sometimes it takes a while to get a call back for results but I just call and remind them and get answers. They do a great job.
