Dr Duck should not be a general doctor. Everything he says should be taken with a grain of salt and a second doctors (more) professional opinion. Dr Duck will tell you exactly what HE thinks is the problem and unless you pressure him will not refer you to any outside doctors if he can. After receiving his diagnosis, it took two outside doctors a week of unreturned phone calls and faxes for him to "sign" me over to them. On top of that, both doctors (who were in the medical group but not part of his office) staunchly disagreed with his diagnosis. Dr Duck is very strong-minded; the conclusion he arrives at is stone cold fact in his mind. He does not like to be second guessed, which is particularly troublesome as he was completely wrong with his diagnosis. To see him for something like a broken bone or cold wouldnt be a problem but if you are facing any serious health concerns AVOID HIM!

I was a new patient, there to see Dr Duck for the first time. First off I waited for 45 min past my appt. time. When he did come in the room he sat down, got on his lap top and started with questions. I honestly felt he was on WebMD. He never touched me, not once, related all my problems to my weight. He asked me about my diet and told me that I need to eat better and exercise more. I am about 20-30 lbs over weight, yes, but I am also very active, play sports and I think I eat quite reasonable. Not a single test was run. I left with the advise to loose weight, thats it! Nevermind the chestpains I was there for. I dont think he took the time to know me. He didnt even introduce himself. I have already called my insurance to switch drs.

Dr. Duck is completely incompetent, has a poor bed side manner and does not care at all about his patients!!! Choose another Physician, save yourself the hassle of trying to communicate anything to this man who has his head so far his a@# that he cant see the light of day! I was a new patient, but will be switching immediately and will advise everyone I know to do the same.

There is a reason why he was nominated one of the top Do not go to him if you cant handle the truth about being overweight or being unhealthly because he will not sugar coat it for you. He will diagnose and then flat out tell you how it is and what needs to be done to solve your health issues via medication or life changes.

Regardless of his competency, which I cannot measure, my experience with Dr. Duck is he lacks of humanity or sympathy. In other words, it doesnt seem like he cares. I was his patient for 2 years and thank God I never needed him much besides routine visits. I could never establish a connection with him but maybe its just me.
