I just moved to San Diego and had an infection. Dr. Wongs staff scheduled me right away and he prescribed medication to take care of it. A couple months later I had an emergency appendectomy where the emergency room found a mass in my bladder and I was informed to follow up with my primary physician. I saw Dr. Wong as a follow up and he informed me he would call me back about how hed like to proceed with the the mass. No call. He is conveniently located downtown so I stopped by in person and spoke to his staff and they informed me they would call me back. Nothing?? They had phoned me before so I knew they had my number. Good bedside manner, nice staff, but terrible follow through. I found a new doctor.

This is a training facility I am told by the staff in the office- Your appointment is with new / young doctors that just graduated and new to the work force. If you book an appointment with Doctor Wong, you will not be seeing Dr. Wong because he is rarely there! Maybe the very 1st time - but hardly again. Great location, clean office, some staff members seem like they care to answer your questions. Depends who is working in the reception area. Left few messages for Dr. Calvin Wong, No call. His staff took the messages and they informed me they or Dr. Calvin Wong would call back. Nothing!! They have my number. No calls!!

He is best physician I have seen in a long time. He truly listened to my concerns and really cared about seeing that I feel better. I wish more doctors were like him and actually cared about their patients.
