In tough health care times Burre Dental provides essential care to the surrounding community - however, I had a HORRIBLE experience here. I was grateful to be seen as an Emergency Fit In appointment and the initial consultation went well. When I returned for the 2nd appointment I arrived early to check in. There was some fumbling with my paperwork as people began to pile up behind me. The woman helping me was told to set it to the side and I sat down with my crosswords and articles. I began to watch those in line with me that morning enter and leave. I waited patiently but growing concerned at approximately 2.5 hours I approached the counter. The woman behind the desk offered an explanation of their procedure and I sat down. Three of the original 10am check-in remained, including myself. Then two. I approached the counter again and was given a very catty explanation. I had asked a question but they didnt want to answer it. Instead procedure was repeated over and over. Perturbed I sat down. Just before the 4 hour mark I watched the last person called. Very concerned I approached the counter again. After dealing with an overwhelmingly rude woman I made an appointment for another day and left feeling very disturbed. I called about a week later to inquire about the time of my next appointment. The woman on the phone said they had no record of one for me. When she pulled up my file.....she began reading....aloud....as people do out of habit. I was appalled at what was written about me on that chart. She stopped herself.....fumbled and said "maybe they thought you wouldnt show up so we never made it". Days later.....the day before my appointment. I received a phone reminder about said appointment. Due to my work schedule I was unable to make it. I believe it is highly probable that this was done on purpose...for what reason I have no idea. I am a soft spoken, mannered individual who works in customer service. In this experience, overall, I felt bullied and powerless. They made immoral assumptions about my person without any investigation into my well being.

Im really disappointed in the reviews that the Burre Center has gotten. A lot of these seem to be based on unfounded hearsay or written in a huff. I went into the place for the first time (emergency visit) and, guess what, I DIDNT have a terrible experience! The facility was clean and the staff was professional. (The young lady that helped me was extremely friendly, which was admirable since I got in around 2PM and she had been there since 6AM!) Yes, there was a long wait once I got into the chair but, considering that this location is currently the ONLY DENTAL FACILITY WITHIN THE TRI-CITY AREA that ACCEPTS MEDI-CAL, the fact that they were able to process a newcomer like myself in the same day is impressive. So, unless the other dentists in the area are willing to accept low-income insurance, Burre is going to be constantly inundated with Medi-Cal patients (re: they cant take on any new ones), as well as get the brunt of same-day emergencies. I commend them for that!! ***And if, for some reason, you want me to find a negative in my experience with Burre, here it is: Of all the people I talked to -- in person and over the phone -- there was probably one that seemed a little aggrieved. Even with all people they serve day-in and day-out, the only feedback that seems to get through are the ones complaining about their work. How shocking, it is, that they would feel defensive sometimes!*** So, tips for a better Burre experience: 1) Grab a book to read or a game to play for the wait; 2) Ask questions without demeaning the staff; and 3) Get over yourself!

Even if you have a appointment you may have to wait a hour or more in a back room. Also when cleaning my daughters teeth the person was not paying attention and took some skin off of part of her lip and she had to grab the persons hand and move it off her lip. The next day she had a good size scab on her lip. I have lived all over the country and been to a lot of dentists and this is by far the worst one out there. Also Rose N needs respect peoples opinions and get over herself thats what reviews are all about. They screwed up on my child felt like slapping that careless lady that was cleaning my kids teeth.

The dentist that I go and see is really nice and fun to talk to. However the people that work at the front desk are rude as hell. I called at 10:00 am to schedule an appointment and a lady yelled at me all because I called at ten instead of eight. Another time a lady had me fill out papers to get started and she had a weird look on her face and said umm this is okay, and I was like really? And she said no we need this and that. You people need to be more professional, and know how to talk to customers better.

Based on the two times they were called upon by members of my household, I would not recommend wasting time here. If you are desperate to save a few bucks, love to wait, and dont mind a few calls and trips, go for it. Otherwise, find a care provider that has the time to care. Their phone reps routinely tell people to piss off. As with all things you get what you pay for and I guess since they dont take much for payment they dont intend to provide much for service.

Worst place *ever*. I broke a tooth & called for an appointment, was told they had one left at 7:45AM. I arrived there to have a snotty, ill-informed receptionist tell me that it was so I could wait to be seen *sometime* that DAY. Was told I had to fill out a ton of forms & maybe my insurance would cover it even though when I made the "appointment" I was told my insurance would cover it. Save up your lunch money & go to a real dentist, its worth it.

Worst help ever, They made me feel less I was telling them what was the problem and at the end they did whatever they want and I felt less because they are doctor and think they know more than myself, they took the wrong tooth out and I still have a root canal infection which still is getting worst. I still ask for an appointment again because pretty much is the only help I can get here and they say call tomorrow and hope to have some luck

They got me in quick ONCE for a temp filling, I seem to wait longer when I have an actual appointment..I have medi-cal and when I have an appointment scheduled it usually takes a 2 and a half hour wait to get me in after that. Dr. Wright is very rude, literally made me cry he made me feel so bad about myself. Trying to switch dentists as soon as possible!
