I used to like this office and doctor. Now, Im so frustrated with them, Ill be looking for another doctor. I have drop foot and muscle atrophy in my leg. Im not able to walk very well. This began 8 months ago. I started with workers comp, so I didnt go through Dr. Nguyen at first, but when workers comp was grossly inefficient, I decided to forget the possible benefits and go through my own health plan so I headed back to Dr. Nguyen. Since the idea of ALS was being tossed around, I wasnt going to mess around anymore. She sent me to a neurologist, which was fine. The neurologist did an MRI and the reports were all sent to Dr. Nguyen. The neurologist agreed that it could be a lower back issue and that going to a physical therapist for traction/decompression was a good idea. Because a chiropractor had already referred me to the PT, I didnt think to ask him for the referral at my visit. I was told later that my health insurance needs a referral from my doctor, not chiropractor. I let Dr. Nguyens office know that I had an appt for the PT in a couple of days and would need a referral quickly. They said they would call me back with the info. I didnt hear back from them and finally called them in the late afternoon before the PT appt the next morning. I was told then that I would need to come back to see Dr. Nguyen before she would give the referral. Basically, that meant I would need to leave work within the hour to come see them, which was not feasible. Dr. Nguyen had already seen me for this issue, plus she had received all additional reports/information from the neurologist. There was no additional information she could have gotten from my coming back in to see her. They wouldnt budge. I even tried to find a way to get in for a quick 5-10 min visit and they refused to fit me in. So, I wasnt able to get in there in time, and I lost the opportunity to get to the appointment that I really needed to FINALLY start the healing. I was literally frustrated to tears. Time for a new doctor.

They dont care about serious issues, and have poor communication from the desk to the doctor. I broke my leg and tore a muscle and they did not seem to care when all my other specialist did. The receptionist at the desk told me it was not a serious issue and would not tell the doctor or schedule an appointment, then i just show up and talk to the doctor anyways and she tells me its very serious and i need to see even more specialist. The whole time my leg is in a shitty brace and needed to have a cast but i could not get one because i needed a referal from her which she refused to give! Now i have permanent damage in my knee from how my ankle healed and will most likely seek legal advice for bad practice on her part, since i still have trouble walking and i blame her. She knows how my insurance works and that i needed to see special doctors but refused to care or do anything to help me. Do not go to this doctor she does not care and hopefully one day will get sued for it.

i am super disappointed with my visit today. I was reluctant to make this appointment because i always get nervous, but i know i need to address these concerns i have, so i finally scheduled an appt with my dr. I saw dr. nguyens nurse practitioner, his name is shawn, and he had zero compassion. he told me that out of respect for other patients he didnt have time to discuss my concerns with me. i didnt know that i wasnt as important as any other patient....mind you, i left work with no pto to make it to this appointment and waited in the waiting room for half an hour while he "respectfully" addressed the concerns of more important patients. I literally left the office in tears feeling disregarded. I have never had such an awful experience at any doctor office.

Dr. Nguyen and her staff are excellent. In todays medical world with insurance companies making it just as hard on doctors as they are on patients, it is refreshing to visit an office where one feels cared about. Her staff has been very timely with their follow through, and they seem to be smart with their scheduling as my wait times have been minimal. Any documentation that I have needed was quickly supplied. Outside of the administrative, which can make a great doctor look awful if the staff is poor, the doctor herself is knowledgeable and has absolutely helped me. While I am still recovering from an ailment, the doctor was able to pinpoint my issue and set me on the right course. I am forever grateful to the doctor and her staff.

I am a patient of Dr. Nguyens and have only good things to say about her. I dont normally write reviews but think Dr. Nguyen deserves one because she is such a good doctor. She is detail-oriented and is caring, and it shows. She called me on a Saturday when she could not get a hold of me on Friday to give me my biopsy result because she knew I was anxious about it. She could have easily waited until Monday to call me back, but she went out of her way to give me the good results in a timely manner to ease my mind. That is how much she cares. Her new office looks great. She should be very proud! :)

Office staff is patient & friendly. Office is small & cramped. Dr. Joanna is nice, however she does not "try hard" to figure anything out. Prescribes pills & gives tips and leaves it at that. Doesnt press for testing. Doesnt return calls the way and time they should be returned. She should not be accepting new patients if she cant handle the ones she has. Sad.

I cannot say enough how much I LOVE this office! The entire staff is great. She really cares about her patients. Next step is switching my husband over!
