My mother in law was sent to this facility for hospice care in February 2017. It was about 10pm when she arrived so I walked up to the nurses station to get information on her treatment. There were 2 nurses talking about knowing nothing about the patient. I interrupted and gave them an update on her medical condition. She was supposed to be on morphin right away. The nurse didnt seem to know what she was doing. She wasnt sure about the dosage either. When she finally figured out how much to administer, she came to the room. At that point my mother in law took her last breath. The nurse stood there. I asked her to either call time of death or call an RN who was able to. She just stood there and didnt even check her pulse. She looked at us and said "well you all knew this was going to happen". She was completely unprofessional and had no compassion what so ever. It saddens me to think that our last moments spent with her will always include this horrible treatment. Please do your research if you are thinking of placing your loved one at this facility. I also witnessed horrible treatment towards another patient who fell off his wheel chair. Instead of helping him up right away, a nurse threw a towel at him with frustration. It made me sick to my stomach. Even though my mother in law had passed, i refused to leave her until she was picked up by the mortuary. Thats how bad it was. Worst experience of my life...

Please do research before placing a loved one here!!! If you must place someone here, make sure your loved one has a family member present 24-7! There may be a few decent nurses but that doesnt help when a patient is being exposed to the low trained (or non trained) nurses. It was explained since day one that my father could not move one of his legs as he had bone cancer and was in severe pain. The staff forcefully weighed him at my husbands objection. Our father was in terrible pain and very fragile. The staff had absolutely no empathy or concern for him or his needs and refused to listen to my husband who was there trying to help. I dont understand why they would refuse to weigh him in his chair as done by other facilities. They were very rude and non-caring. Luckily, my husband was there to secure the bad leg to prevent further injury as these folks had zero regard for the condition he was in. However it is very unfortunate that no one was there the final time he was weighed. I say final because they mishandled him to the point that they caused him to go into cardiac arrest!! There are other facilities to look into. Please look into others before settling on this place.

Our experience was 50/50. One of the PT named Steve told my 93 year old grandmothers doctor that she could walk 50 ft (with a broken pelvic bone only days old) which was 100% false. After we got rid of him my grandmother started healing and receiving real PT. The rest of the staff treated my grandmother with kindness. Every time I visited the facility, my grandmother was clean, her bedding was clean and she was being fed regularly. My other complaint was there was a woman down the hall for my grandmother who was crying out loud that she needed help and she was in a pitch-dark room and one of their employees walked right by the room at the same time I did and I thought maybe she didnt hear her and so I said to the employee that the woman sounded like she needed help and that woman never went back to her room. Yes, for those of you who are wondering, I did say something to that employee before I left and let her know how unkind I thought that was. Svetlana was a great RN plus they have a room to have your hair done (at a reasonable extra cost) and they did a great job.

Its not that nice of a place. The people who live here are not treated fairly. Theres a few CNAs that work really hard and are good at their job. Those people will stand out, youll know who they are. Preferably they are on the second floor. Other CNAs sit in the bathrooms for hours on end, just so they dont have to do their job. It costs too much for how poor the people here are treated. Some people are left in hallways and they fall asleep in their wheel chairs, others are falling off beds and out of wheel chairs. In my opinion, its not a good environment for these senior citizens.

My father has been at Manor Care 4 times for his care after hip surgery and the nurses were very caring. This is the only facility I would place my father than any other skilled facility I would visit him every other day I would call and speak to his nurse just to check up on him they are busy all the time but they do talk time to speak with family members about there loved ones. My father was released from Fountain Valley Hospital and he needs to get better so he will be going to Manor Care again today for a few weeks till he gets better he will then go home.

Excellent and kind care My mother received patient and loving care here. We think very highly of Nurse Practitioner Sunny, who is very thorough and goes the extra mile to ensure that proper medication is prescribed and the patient is thriving. We have been in other facilities and had unpleasant experiences. Of course, it is challenging to run a little city like this, with so many things going on. But we can recommend this place, as the bottom line is that the staff cares. Which for us is the most important part of making it work well.

This place is horrible the lack of care these nurses provide. My mother is in there for post op and the care she sees these elderly receive scares the poop out of her and is already wish to leave asap. How can you guys hire people who hate their job so much that they can tell a patient to their face that its not there problem that their in pain you cowards it is your damn job that what your there for to provide care.

Manor Care holds up to a high standard of care by effectively improving the health and well-being of its residents. It is a relief to know that upon receiving their care one may leave fully recovered and rehabilitated. This facility is by far, one of the best in the area. It is clear that the staff takes pride in the service they provide. Thanks for the great experience.

My post surgery rehab at this facility was poor. A simple request such as assistance using the restroom could take up to an hour. twice I actually had to wait over ten hours to receive my medication! however there are also some staff who are excellent and even willing to go the extra mile to ensure the patients comfort in a very supportive manner.
