If this review were strictly for Dr Pilests capabilities as an injector, it would be 4 stars: he really is one of the best with fillers, botox, etc. But this is about the entire experience. First, the front office staff is courteous only when youre paying the exorbitant bill, or buying overpriced and overrated products. Do not ask for water---theyll roll their eyes and bring you a paper cup. They clearly do not recognize that many patients drive a real distance and when they arrive, some bottled water might be nice. (Considering the prices they charge, they should provide waiters---a Keurig machine at the very least!) Typically, new patients are given a "free consultation" with Dr. Pilest. Its more like a three minute meet-and-greet. The doctor breezes in, all 6 Cartier bracelets dangling, and outlines a series of procedures that you will need. His assistant then takes over to close the deal. This is where you need to be careful. They will recommend the kitchen sink. Before agreeing to anything, think the recommendations over and even get a second opinion. If not, you could be out thousands of dollars with no results. This practice is big on Thermage---I fell prey and I can tell you it DOES NOT WORK. Despite what theyll tell you about a new machine, new head, new whatever, it is simply ineffective. Steer very clear of Thermage. If you need fillers, you will generally be satisfied. Pilest knows where the stuff needs to go, is gentle with the injections, and the results will be good. If all you need is moderate tweaking, then you will be pleased. However, if your jowls are dragging around your ankles, Pilest will still convince you that his procedures will do the trick. They will not. Pilests lack of transparency ruins his credibility and makes him tough to trust. His staffs attitude, his overpriced products, and procedures like Thermage that simply do not work, contribute to a feeling that you are not a patient, but rather the means to more Cartier.

Im shipping myself off to Hawaii in October, so I scheduled some much needed facial maintenance - hence Im back to see Dr. Pilest and Sandy. Today was Juvederm XC, Restylane Lyft, and a wee bit of botox for my marionette lines - the results are immediate, and Dr.Pilest fixed my problem areas in one near pain-free sitting. No bruising, bleeding, or noticeable swelling; my face was left with several miniscule pin pricks where the needle went in, and a rejuvenated younger looking mug. Ill be going back in 3 weeks for maybe a slight touch-up since I had some filler leftover, but well play it by ear and see what the he says. His word is the equivalent of the law as far as Im concerned. We all know how I feel about him, he leaves me in awe. Why am I writing yet another review for TD? I wanted to give a shout-out to my girl crush/nurse extraordinaire, Sandy. Sandy is truly a thoughtful, beautiful individual. I see her 3 to 6 months at a time, but when I there, she puts me at total ease. Shes super informative and patient with my questions, generously numbs and ice me, gives me the kind of support I would get from a legit friend Ive known for years. Shes genuine, a bundle of vivacious vibes, and being around her makes you feel good about yourself. All this, and I didnt even touch on her extensive medical experience. Please clone this woman already. Since I come in regularly, they suggested I sign up for this "Brilliant Distinctions" Program. Apparently I can earn points for my future visits for Juviderm or botox, so naturally I signed up once I got home. Getting fillers isnt cheap, sometimes it can mean eating cold cereal and spam for a month - so I can only appreciate them showing me opportunities to save some green. LOVE.

I just visited Dr Pilest for the first time today for a consultation on different treatments available for my skin type. I was blown away by how lovely and professional his office and staff were. Dr. Pilest spent a long time with me answering all my questions (and I had many). He made me feel completely at ease in his office. After he finished answering my questions, his staff (Letty and Cetena) stayed with me for an additional 30 minutes just chatting with me and answering even more questions I had about the different types of treatments available. I was trying to decide on whether I wanted to get one of the Fraxel laser treatments. They gave me both the answers and the opinions I was searching for. It is always refreshing to go to a doctors office and not feel like just a number. I greatly appreciated the time and effort they put into my appointment today. I have seen 3 different doctors to get different opions on laser treatment options, and Dr. Pilest and his staff were by far the most professional and knowledgable that Ive been to. I will be booking my appointment for Fraxel as soon as the holidays are over. I reccommend this office to anyone searching for a Dr who will spend a lot of time answering questions and making you feel at ease. I will post a second review after I get my treatment to let everyone know how I feel about the results.

Great ... I have been a patient of Dr. Pilest for over 20 years. Dr. Pilest is not only a great Doctor but he has the best bedside manner you will find. We are lucky to have a Doctor of his caliber in Orange County. I trust Dr. Pilest 100% he doesnt try to sell you things you dont need. He truly cares about you this is why I have been a patient for over 20 years. He has the best products eye cream, eye serum and face wash and many more. His staff is outstanding kind and patient they go out of their way to make sure you understand each precedure. My Husband is a patient as well as our daughters and sister. I cant say enough about Dr. Pilest he is kind and gentle person that truly cares. I would trust no one other then Dr. Pilest to do my Botox, remove moles, and take care of my skin. I am in my late 40s and people always say I look in my 30s and I say I owe it all to Dr. Pilest. I love him and his staff. If you need a facial Minoo is the best Aesthetican around she is caring and kind and does a creat job. If you want a cheap doctor , Dr. Pilest is not it. Dr. Pilest has over 30 years of experience and knows what is doing and experience and knowledge is worth every penny. Remember you pay for what you get in life. I will pay more to have Dr. Pilest and his staff take care of my skin forever.

DR. PILEST IS A GENIUS AND A TRUE ARTIST! All I can say is that I truly believe that in addition to being a very experienced doctor, Dr. Pilest is a true genius and an artist. I went to a different doctor in Newport Beach who is a facial plastic surgeon thinking that it would somehow be better because he would have an understanding of the nuances of facial symmetry, etc. Boy, was I wrong. Not only did he inject me in an unbalanced fashion, he put Juvederm underneath my eyes and it ended up looking like I had hard lines under my eyes. I went back twice for injections of hyaluronidase to have it removed, but was injected in the wrong area and it did nothing but make me black and blue. Finally, I went to Dr. Pilest. Not only did he fix the problem, he made my face balanced and it looks beautiful. I never even bruised! I am so grateful to Dr. Pilest and his wonderful staff. I feel I wasted over $1,000 going to the other doctor when I should have gone to Dr. Pilest in the beginning. He is the absolute best!!!
