Initially I was a bit nervous to visit a new doctor for the first time. However, the moment I walked into the Dr. Sextons office I felt at ease. The receptionist was very welcoming, warm and friendly. She greeted me with a smile and was very polite when requesting that I fill out the medical history and insurance forms. When I had questions she answered them with patience and compassion. After I completed and turned in the paperwork, I found myself relaxing on the comfortable chairs, admiring the paintings on the walls and checking out a wide variety of interesting magazines. It all made for a very relaxing and positive experience. Soon a staff member guided me to one of the patient rooms and told me Dr Sexton would arrive in a few minutes. As I waited, I noticed additional paintings on the wall and more specifically the artist’s signature. It read a familiar name........Sexton. I assumed it was the work of the doctor’s wife or children. After only a few minutes, Dr Sexton arrived. His calm and friendly demeanor was evident right away as we begin to discuss what the reason for my visit was. What I noticed immediately was that Dr Sexton looked me right in the eye and how intently he was listening. This led me to feel like he was genuinely interested in my medical condition and was truly committed to helping me. After informing me of his diagnosis of Psoriasis and then the potential treatments that were available, Dr. Sexton carefully explained all of the advantages and disadvantages of each option. He then calmly answered all my questions. He made me feel very comfortable and put my mind at ease knowing that my specific condition would be easily resolved. Once we concluded the medical portion of my visit I inquired about the paintings in the patient room as well as the front office reception area. I asked who the artist was. Dr Sexton sheepishly smiled and confessed that he, not his wife or children, was the actual artist. Thus, not only is he a fantastic doctor but a talented and creative individual as well! As I departed the patient room and headed back towards the reception area, a friendly staff member greeted me. I was given my prescription and other paperwork and then preceded to leave the office. As I walked towards the door the receptionist called out “it was very nice to meet you and please call us if you have any questions or need anything” It was a nice touch and perfect ending to a very positive experience. Oh, and by the way, the prescription worked perfectly and my medical condition has cleared up. Thank you Dr. Sexton! I would highly recommend Dr. Sexton to anyone who seeks expert medical advice from a caring and compassionate doctor with a professional and friendly staff.

A little disappointed with my progress...I am 28 years old and Ive been going to see Dr. Sexton for about 1 year. I initially told him that I was going to be getting married in June 2012 and I really wanted to get a handle on my skin issues before then, he kept telling me we have plenty of time and that I shouldnt be worried. Well Ive seen slight improvement with my Melasma (brown spots / discoloration on my face) Dr. Sexton did tell me that the Melasma was possibly caused by birth control which I discontinued, I am also using 2 different creams on my face morning and night and the dark spots have faded in some areas but they are still very noticeable. I also go to see Dr. Sexton for my acne, initially he prescribed a medication to me that made me extremely sensitive to sunlight and I burned very badly, after I told him what happened he just prescribed a topical solution which helps reduce the redness & swelling from acne and dries out my skin but it doesn’t do anything to treat the underlying issue. Bottom line is I’m still having the same issues I was before and I have spent a lot of money on office visits and medication with no real results..

I agree that all the five star reviews are FAKE !!!! He didnt even let me finish what i had to say about my concern. He did not take one single look at my face and started to write prescription right away. My visit was no longer than 2 mins (all the times). I have only 1 acne on the right cheek, so yeah, my skin was actually not too bad, but he asked me to put the cream all over my face. My skin peeled off aggressively after i put his medicine on. It was so dry and peeled off. Then when i told him, he just said i should keep doing that. My acne was not gone but now i had one more at left cheek. When i came back i told him that "its getting worse". He now glanced at my face and said " no its better, you do not have too many acnes on the left cheek now". What the heck, i never had one on the left cheek before. He showed me his picture of a face with dots on both left and right cheek ( which i suppose he just drew it before, not even looked at my face). So then i know he completely doesnt care about what he is doing so i stop going there.

I have had acne all my life and I am on medication for it. I went to him for the first time because I just moved here. I wanted to get me prescription refilled but he wouldnt even do that. I brought my medical records and he didnt even look at them to give a good assessment. I went there and my acne was pretty clear due to the medication! Well he prescribed me some expensive creams and told me to come back in a month. Or at least look at my medical records to be able to tell this cream isnt going to work for me. What, I got to try all solutions again and come to you every month when I know they dont work so you get paid?!?! The comments below where they are actually specific are probably the real ones and there are ones below like mine. At least review my medical history before you diagnose me, because you didnt listen. Now I got acne bad again.

The doctor tries to spend minimum amount of time to look at my skin condition and was not patient at all. He refused to answer my questions and just prescribed me a medication and left without asking me if I have other questions. I feel so bad afterwards, because it was very disappointed with the service and this doctor. He asked me to come back in 2 weeks and I guess so he can get more money. My problem is still exiting now, and I am seeing other doctor. I dont believe big advertisements make the doctor better than someone else, its all about attitude.

i love Dr sexton office ..i came into his office and had the best experince of my life..... i have a really bad skin condition and was looking for a dermatologist near by and saw dr sexton and call and ask about dr sexton and his staff were great and took time to answer my question and also check to see if my insurance was in network.... i came in got my skin condition review and follow up in one month and got my skin looking better then ever..... great doctor and would highly recommend dr sexton.....
