I dont even know where to start with how much I love this place! Highly HIGHLY recommend. Ive been to vets in Lake Forest, Foothill, MV, basically everywhere in the area. This is the only one I will go back to. My dog has had a chronic skin condition that Ive been seeking help for for years. Weve had our share of misdiagnoses, wrongly prescribed medications, etc. I understand that these things happen, but it put a lot of stress on my dogs body. The worst thing about those other vets, though, was their attitudes. They seemed to judge me and make me feel like it was my dog being sick was because I was a bad owner. And the reality was I was doing everything I could to make him better, not to mention I was SEEKING HELP. I got fed up and tried treating it solely on my own. And then my dog got hurt somehow. I came home one day and he was limping, wouldnt let me pick him up, just crying. I had no choice but to find a vet again. So, I came across El Toro Animal Hospital, and in the waiting room I braced myself for the rude judgement I got from all the previous vets. Dr. Fred at ET Animal Hospital didnt do ANY of that b.s. He was kind, understanding, and ON MY SIDE. I finally felt like someone was ready to tackle this with me. He took the time to feel my dogs leg/hip, and even walk him! (To observe his movement and limp). He helps those with limited income, too. I never felt like it made a difference in the was he carried out the treatments. He took the time to explain everything to me in detail until I understood everything. He made a follow up call, personally a couple days later and really has been more helpful than all of those other vets combined. I appreciate Dr. Fred and his team very much! Thank you guys!!!! I will be back. Oh, and as for my dog! He started walking again, that same day! The medicine Dr. Fred gave us, along with supplements and care instructions, has helped my dog more than I even expected. His eyes are more white, and just feeling better...We are going on a walk now :) Take care, everyone! And, really, try out this vet. They made a difference in the quality of our lives and I appreciate it so much that I left in tears and Im leaving reviews on every site XD Thanks!

Please do not take your pet to this clinic and STAY AWAY from Dr. Saad. My sweet 13-month old puppy Lucky, died less than 24 hours after being misdiagnosed by Dr. Saad with kennel cough. It turns out she had suspected rodenticide poisoning (blood clotting time was severely altered). This was diagnosed by another vet the day after Dr. Saad’s misdiagnosis. After we notified Dr. Saad of what happened, he refused to admit any fault and was angry and erratic on the phone. He was completely unprofessional. I have no idea how he is still a practicing veterinarian. My case is under review by the California Veterinary Medical Board and Southern California Veterinary Medical Association. Unfortunately, a necropsy was not performed (this is an autopsy but for animals) and as such it will be hard to ever bring justice to Lucky. However I am letting anyone who is even thinking of going to see this vet to please beware and do your research before you decide where to take your pet for medical attention. Most importantly do not ever take your pet to Dr. Saad.

I recently took my 13yr old cat (Stoney) here for the first time. Im somewhat new to the area and previously traveled to Garden Grove for a vet but that was just too far.. so Im doing what your doing right now... checked out a bunch of places and the reviews!!! The girls in front were very nice and helpful. As I talked to Dr. Fred about Stoneys Thyroid Disease I didnt feel rushed at all. That made me feel important and not just rushing me thru to get to another customer! I often feel that way at my own Drs!! He treated my 13yr old as a baby!! I felt positive vibes there and felt the love they have for animals. I had to leave kitty for a couple hours so they could give him some meds because I ran out, then blood work. I returned and kitty didnt like getting blood work done but who does like it?!?!? They handled him great! I appreciate them working with me and making it affordable!! I definitely recommend going to El Toro Animal Hospital!! Check out their website for coupons!!

Lots of money grabbing here. They highly encourage the annual $150 "maintenance plan" by showing that its cheaper than the individual annual "vaccines," which are included. Then during evaluation, they try to upcharge "treatment" for whatever concerns you have. The vet never actually examined our dog, just asked a few simple questions and spent no more than 10 minutes in the room, then diagnosed as an "allergic rash," for $160 treatment. They also tried to sell us "dental cleaning" while visiting for the rash. Finally, an administrator took our dog away to another room for the vaccinations, and brought her back a few minutes later saying she was good to go, after waiting around more than 30 minutes to be seen. Never witnessed the shot(s) we paid for actually being administrated. I paid for the annual maintenance and skipped the rest, gave the dog a bath and some hydrocortisone, rash was better in days. Too many question marks to recommend this place.

My friend adopted a cat, took him to the clinic, took care of the animal like her own baby, started a health care plan and I inherited the cat after 3 months. Paper work to transfer the ownership of the animal with transferring the health plan was impossible, the clinic was not flexible at all. I could start a new health care program at the same time when my friend kept paying her portion (one cat - double pay) - ridiculous... Cat was in a clinic before, personnel was aware of the fact that the cat does not scratch, but will try to escape and took the words for granted. During the pick up I was told that my cat run away in a room and one of her digital pads is torn. Good part of the visit - cat received treatment what he went there for. Hope others have better experience than me ...

Watch out for this place.I brought my cat in who was having trouble breathing. I explained that the cat was aging and in a fragile condition. After the five minutes they took him away from me to be weighed and after being carried in by one hand he was gasping for breathe, he was much worse than when I had brought him in. I wondered if he would die right there. There was no compassion for the poor animal. After an unnecessary xray they euthanized the poor guy. I asked what the xray could have shown, that could have been fixed at this age and condition. Ive seen some good reviews, but my animal was treated really poorly and it seemed pretty obvious that the way the animals are treated behind the closed door is without compassion.

They are always great! They are all so nice and the prices are very reasonable. The doctor is so nice every time we see him. I also just had to sadly put one of my dogs down around thanksgiving and they waited for me the night before thanksgiving to help me with my poor doggy who just couldnt last another day:( fantastic place to take your loving pets. We have been going here since 2006 and couldnt be happier. They were even so kind as to send a doggy rainbow card to me after losing my pup and most of the staff signed it that is very sweet of them to do!
