I too have been going to Uptown for many years. The care that my pets have received over the years has been outstanding. Weve tried vets closer to our home but always end up going back to Uptown. A few years ago Dr. Bergstrom helped us through the end of life process for our beloved cat. Last year around this time he came up with a new treatment plan to help our old Aussie walk again. More recently Dr. Voltin got our sick puppy back on track. We bought a puppy package and Dr Voltin was great. The staff, especially Patty have been truly amazing to work with. They show a great deal of care and compassion towards us and our pets. Someone complained about the cost. Let me say you get what you pay for. Were sticking with Uptown.

I just started fostering dogs and the team at Uptown Animal Hospital has been fantastic to work with. Theyre great with Maggy, my German Shepherd, who is a little temperamental, as she is not used to being restrained or handled. Dr. Voltin has also been great with me, a new pet owner, and my myriad of what are probably really basic questions. Theyve gone above and beyond helping me navigate through the care Maggy needs as well as working with the The Forgotten Pet (where I got the dog) to get her back history, payment info, etc. The staff is friendly, the service outstanding, and the facilities immaculate. Highly recommend.

I just read an Uptown review re:: PRICE If money really is no object go to Blue Cross on PCH in signal hill I took my animals there for years. But recently, and I have no evidence to substansiate my opinion While the Drs. are excellent and caring as is the staff someone must have taken a course in Marketing. At Uptown Animal Hosp. I feel my dog (josh by name) receives the same loving care that he received at Blue cross, but at a lesser cost. Food and perscritions are not within the Vets control and will vary very little. My choice is now Uptown A.H.

Hate to say it because they are sweet but only go if money is no object to you. You will need repeat visits. $$$ less than 4 business days after a 55 $ exam my dog has a ruptured abscess in her anal gland. And Now they want 35$ for another visit plus meds. That they didnt notice anything at my dogs check up could be forgiven but instead of a follow up for free and then having me pay for meds and treatment they require another exam fee. Check around folks.

The vets at this place are not in it just to make money. They give you options from conservative to premium treatment and let you decide without pressure or guilt unlike a certain chain of animal hospitals. They also take time to make your pet comfortable. My cat crawled under the bench in the exam room so the doctor sat on the floor and cuddled her for a while before poking and prodding her.

Weve been taking our dogs and cats to Uptown Animal Hosptial for years, and Dr. Voltin (as well as the other veterinarians) along with her staff have helped us through some incredibly tough times, and through all the good ones. Id recommend them to anyone looking for the best care for their animals you can find in Long Beach.

Dr. Voltin has cared for both of my dogs (Aimee & Lola) even before she acquired Uptown Animal Hospital. Yes, I followed her and continue to take my dogs there for care. She has always been very thorough and her staff kind and helpful. It doesnt take long to see love of animals.

Terrible customer service. Our lil pup was mistreated. Will never use again. Suggest finding another, theres enough out there. Do your research and take pictures of your pup before handling.

The entire staff is professional, kind, and knowledgeable. Ive been taking my cats to Uptown for almost ten years. I wont go anywhere else. Dr. Voltin is fabulous!
