I havent wrote a review on this company for the past year because its been so hard to not completely fall apart being that my cat died last year because the owner/vet could not deal with explaining instructions on what to do with my cats medications. He just didnt want to bother explaining anything including why he changed dosage instructions with the pharmacy but didnt feel it was necessary to advise me being that I was the one giving the medication to my cat. My cat was 20 years old, he was everything to me. If you are a pet lover, I hope you can understand that you want the best for your pets. You need the information necessary to treat, even if its just little things because were not professionals. If we are going to give our animals medications we need to know how much, how often and how to do it. I get all my pet medications through 1800PetMeds. This clinic does not like that. They want you to pay five times as much with them, of course thats how they get their money by overpricing everything including the visits. 1800PetMeds repeatedly told me that they could not prescribe the medications that the treating vet filled because the owner/vet decided to change the dosage and quantities when the pharmacy called to verify the prescription. Of course my cat went without his medication for almost a month because the owner didnt want to give me the time of day to explain what the new instructions were. I was so pissed off, they were messing around with an elderly animals health. Of course they dont care its not their cat, its my cat and I kept him alive for 20 years and wanted to make sure he had a good quality of life and they want to screw around with his meds and not advise me! That guy was the last person I wanted to deal with and I didnt even know he was the owner until I called to find out about the medication refill for my other cat. He answered the call and I remembered his name and requested to speak to someone else or a supervisor, thats when he told me he was the owner and I knew then that this wasnt going to end well. Im watching my cat dying in front of me and my other 20 year old cat is sick and needs his medication as well. I was to far gone with anger with that man for not caring enough to provide information that he told the manager to refuse treatment for my animals and told me to go somewhere else. For that moment all I could feel is that I wanted them to burn in hell for treating two sick elderly animals with no compassion or kindness. To know they are suffering and I am suffering watching them suffer and I couldnt do anything to help them because this owner did not want to explain his actions. There was no sympathy/empathy for him, there was no explanation hes going to provide for changing things his way, there was no instructions on what I needed to do. I never got the medications my cat needed. My cat died two weeks later. He couldnt walk, he couldnt eat, he couldnt go to the bathroom and within 24 hours he went blind. This is a pain I will live with the rest of my life knowing that my cat died because I chose to go here instead of finding a place where they care for the animals they treat and help the owners to keep them healthy and happy. I lost my baby, he was everything to me and now our other cat, barely a year later is dying. Im doing this review now because Im realizing that some people out there who, like me, want every single detail to help their pets so they take care of them correctly, so they dont hurt them, so they can give them the best possible life with whatever treatment is needed. This isnt that place to get that info. They dont even want to explain what they plan on doing for a normal checkup visit so you know what your animal will go through, let alone explaining medication instructions. I keep seeing this place when searching for vets in my area and all I feel is pain in knowing that my cat died because the owner could care less.

I chose to take my cat Slash to Bixby Animal Clinic because I was looking for an affordable, but also very trustworthy place to have her spayed. In my research, I found that many people were very satisfied with their experience at Bixby Animal Clinic. I was also very impressed with how thorough Bixby Animal Clinic website was in answering many of my initial questions and concerns about the spaying process. I really liked that when I called with more questions, the staff was patient with us in answering them. They are so helpful, friendly, and caring. I was also greeted warmly when O walked in for Slashs appointment and they assured me that Slash would be well taken care of. They called me in the afternoon to give me an update on how she is doing and told me I can get her the next morning. My kitten is a big part of the family now and I am relieved to have found a place that took wonderful care of her and made the spay experience very worry-free for us. I also want to thank Dr. A for answering the unlimited questions that I asked him and he was so amazing to answer each one of my questions and concerns.

I have been going here for about three years, my elderly cat was treated here and while the surgery he needed was costly (Come on folks, its SURGERY, duh!) his care was fantastic. When he had to be put to sleep they were fantastic in caring not just for my beloved cat of 17 years, but of me as well. They said we could try more surgery, but with his age, illness and chance of recurrance, they felt the most humane thing to do was put him down, they couldhave milked me for another surgery or two but no, they encouraged the RIGHT course of action. I use a low cost clinic for spay/nueter and standard immunizations, which they know, and do not treat me differently because I chose to save some money that way. But when my animals are sick I want to take them somewhere that is going to diagnose and treat quickly, decisicively and correctly the first time. I am confident I will always be able to do. The wait is never long, even if you have to get a "work in" appointment. I love this place. Dr. A is the best!

We have been a customer since the first day that Bixby Animal Clinic opened its doors for business. Dr. "A" is the BEST and his entire staff are very professional and you can tell every one working there really love animals. We have 5 dogs so you know that it can get expensive but Dr. A is very fair in his prices... he even says "you need to bring your pets here to the good place not the cheap place" ...and he is right can you really afford cheap pet care because... there is a reason it is cheap. Anyway, again Dr. "A" just saved one of our dogs lives with his skilled surgical hands and you know by his big smile that he is happy that we trusted him and his professional wisdoms experience to provide the best care. We highly recommend Bixby Animal Clinic and you need to stop shopping for cheap and head on in to the "good place"... and no doubt you and your pets will be glad you did!!
