After reading so much praise of Dr. Morganroth on another review site, I decided to see him about an issue that my normal dermatologist couldnt handle. Before confirming the appointment, I asked the receptionist to confirm (and she did) that Id be seeing Dr. Morganroth himself. If Im going to pay $130 for a 5-minute consultation, I want to see the right doctor! Two days later I walked into California Skin Instute and said I was here for my appt. with Dr. Morganroth. But when I was called into the back, my consultation was with someone named Dr. Chan. After a 10 minute examination, she wanted to do the surgery herself right then and there (she couldnt tell me how much it would cost though). At no point was I able to even meet Dr. Morganroth. Dr. Chan was nice and is probably quite talented, but I still felt deceived and I no longer trust CA Skin Institute enough to do the surgery. To their credit, they did refund my appointment fee ($130) after I complained and asked for a refund. So I think 3 of 5 stars is fair.

Doctors are good - knowledgeable and helpful. Nothing that went beyond my expectations. Ive seen dermatologist since my early teens. Ive had better doctors and Ive had worse. Front desk/appointment scheduling needs improvement. Theyre disorganized and make mistakes. I took time off work to make an appointment to find out it was never scheduled. I put the time and date into my scheduler the moment I hung up with the receptionist to ensure I didnt miss it. All I want is my medication refilled and they wont do that unless they see me first (bill me). Tried to feed me this rhetoric that it is against the law to refill it without being seen. Thanks for the help California Skin Institute....

WARNING: to all that visit this location. I received an infection from a visit here. Also they had the audacity to charge me $439.35 for doing this. I have no option but to pay. I am sure you all know, if dont pay the med bills. They are super fast to take to collections. I made many calls and messages to work this out with them. No help at all, took days just to return a call. All my friends and Co-works told me to sue them. I will not, whats the point. Sue would of not fixed the infection they caused.

Very slow service.. we waited for over an hour to get to our appointment and an hour after the time they gave us, there was still a patient ahead of us.
