You never think identify theft is going to happen from a doctors office, but in my case, it did... I have never been a patient of Harbor Psychiatry and Mental Health. Ive never seen a psychiatrist there and up until three months ago, I never knew this practice existed. In March, I received a call from a creditor demanding payment in the amount of $178 for an appointment I did not make. I explained they were misinformed and assumed this could be settled with a phone call to the doctors office. Boy was I wrong! When I called the doctors office and explained that I am not a patient and I have no idea why they are billing me, I was read a diagnoses over the phone and repeatedly called a liar by their billing department. For two months, I asked for a copy of medical record and an invoice for this appointment. They REFUSED to provide either to me. After months of battling with the office, I asked to speak with the doctor, Angela Wardon, and was told this would not be possible. All the while, I was being harassed by the creditor and my credit was taking a hit. Turns out, they received payment from my insurance company months prior to sending me to collections. My insurance company paid the bill in full. If I had made an appointment, I would have only owed my copay of $20. Yet, they still sent me to collections (without every providing me with a bill in the mail) for the full amount claiming my insurance rejected the bill. When my insurance company threatened insurance fraud, I received an email from the billing department saying that they had mixed me up with another patient and apologizing for the inconvenience. The questions that remain to be answered: How did they get my insurance information? How did they create a patient profile (had to be one in order to mix me up with someone else)? And, how did they charge my insurance company? It seems like a case of identity fraud and insurance fraud! All I can say is run and run far away if you are a patient or considering being a patient of this office. Dr. Angela Wardon: if you are reading this, I highly recommend you get your billing department in order before treating any other patients. This experience has been quite unpleasant. I was forced to give this office 1 star. Id give it -5 stars if it would let me!

I made an appointment with Dr Zarrabi for 1pm on ZocDoc and that appointment was confirmed via ZocDoc. The day before my appointment, I logged into ZocDoc to write down the exact address and found that the dr. office had rescheduled without asking or confirming if that was ok with me, a new time of 45min after my originally scheduled appointment. I received a voicemail from the dr. office that asked me to call them to give them some more insurance information before my appointment. When I called to give them that information, I was asked did someone already see you today? Um, no? What? She then said that my appointment was for 9am. Nope, not even close. She put me on hold several times before telling me that the manager would have to call me back later. I pushed, telling her that I have my nanny coming to watch the kids in a half hour so I could go to my appointment, and need to know if Im heading to my appointment or not. A VERY rude Cynthia then came on the phone and attempted to talk over me, simply repeating herself over and over that the appointment was written down for 9am. I really dont care if it was written down at 9am, thats an error on your part, not mine and I sent a screenshot of the ZocDoc confirmation for my appointment at 1pm. Am still awaiting a response from the office manager, however, I would urge others to NOT waste your time with this incompetent and rude office. I pay my nanny $15 an hour to watch the kids, and I booked her for three hours today as this office is about a 40min drive away. Harbor Psychiatry and Mental Health, youll be receiving a $45.00 invoice from me.

Great doctor. Very open to getting to the bottom of the issues, asks questions. She tests her patients to confirm, modify, or rule out a diagnosis, a true scientist.
