It is with much regret that after 12 years of using CVH veterinary services, according to the receptionist, I have been black-listed from their services. I tried to bring my wheaten terrier in a couple of months ago for a refill on his ear drops. The receptionist rudely brushed me off, spouted off a lot of statements that didn’t sound true, and was very confrontational when I asked for an explanation. After that terrible experience, I spoke with the vet on the phone and felt satisfied with our conversation. I took the time to give her some constructive feed back from a long time customer, on how her receptionist could make healthy improvements in customer service. A couple of days ago, I called to schedule an appointment, once again found the same woman to be very combative, extremely rude, cut me off several times in mid-conversation, accused me of yelling at her (I was speaking on my car phone and was barely able to speak). She continued to not listen to anything I had to say and cut me off every time I tried to say something. She told me I had been placed on the no-service list. During my prior conversation with the vet, she stated that she hoped to see me again and my business. I must assume that the receptionist is not telling me the truth, the vet changed her mind without communicating that to me, there is a miscommunication within their team, or I’m actually blacklisted. Either way, I’ve booked my wheaten terrier somewhere else and I definitely won’t return to CVH. Sadly, I’ve enjoyed a long history here. CVH even put my yorkie to sleep. Yelp reviews show a disproportionate number of complaints with the lousy customer service from their receptionist. It’s sad but reassuring that it’s not just me. The front office receptionist is giving the same rude and inappropriate treatment to many of their other loyal customers. Hopefully they will be able to fix this customer service problem before they lose more faithful clients.

STOP-DO NOT GO TO THIS VET-I have endless stories, heres a good example: Today was the worst experience ever. I day boarded my dog, he cant be boarded overnight since he has separation anxiety and has lost 2 teeth at previous kennels trying to get out of the cage-which the staff knew. I was running late- my taxi was late, I called to say I would be there right at closing. I was informed that my dog would have to stay, and be boarded overnight. I said "that wont be happening, do you not remember he could lose another tooth"? (They leave the dogs alone all night!) Staff person, the mgr, says "yes, that could happen" I said "how irresponsible of you" she said "youre the irresponsible one by being late". Needless to say I picked up my dog 5 minutes late, and would have come with the police if they insisted he stay. On the way out the door another manager had the nerve to say "This boarding of your dog isnt working for us" I said "Oh, REALLY? Its not working for YOU????" Unbelieveable rudeness and inconsiderate behaivor on many occasions. I will NEVER go back. How unethical can you get ????

Doctor knowingly put my cat in danger. DO NOT go to this place. Like other reviews Ive read on Yelp, for example, the receptionist is incredibly rude and unhelpful to patrons and her coworkers alike. I had the audacity to question the very steep price of my cats asthma medicine which pissed off the office and whomever the older white male doctor is who seems like a Trump supporter with how petty he was. My questioning was so egregious that they fired me as a patient without any warning and now with only a couple days of medication left refused to provide me a prescription. After trying to reason with this doctor practically begging for a couple days worth until I can get a new vet to give me a prescription and given that it is the middle of the work week and I dont have a car this is very difficult. I am hoping my cat can make it... This office is weird, how can you be a veterinarian and not value the life of an animal. Seriously unbelievable.

Love this vet place. There are certainly some characters at the Claremont Vet - when I bring in my dog the whole staff comes running with treats, cuddles, lots of love. My dog hates to ride in the car, but she LOVES the vet! Regular notices when I forget vaccinations that are needed, great medication pickup options, and short wait times. Love Dr. Feinn! I only have one experience with Dr. Frizell, who was also VERY knowledgeable.

This veterinary hospital saved my dogs life. They diagnosed and treated his Parvo as a puppy and got rid of his mange. They have always been helpful and professional. I did have a friend who worked there but even after shes left, Ive had positive experiences with this hospital, and Dr. Frizell is consistently highly reviewed in my experience.

The wait was ridiculous. I called ahead and watched 3 walk ins who came in after me be called before I was. I was told 9:45, its 10:46 and Im still waiting. 2 stars for at least being open on Saturday, but Im sticking with my usual vet in Alameda.

From saving a puppy in my first litter over 25 years ago to removing countless fox tails of other dogs and healing all my various cats, Claremont Vet has taken excellent care of all our animals...always polite and always caring. The best!

We took our dog here for an emergency visit. They were unhelpful, rude & incredibly snooty - especially the receptionist! If you can, take your business elsewhere - these guys arent worth a dollar of your hard earned money!

The hours are a little inconvenient but the staff is always professional and friendly. We usually get an appointment right away and the boarding is not fancy but the price is reasonable. Nice parking spot in front.

Weve always found them helpful, responsive, and very caring for our cat and dog. Weve tried other vets, and we would recommend Claremont Veterinary Hospital over them. Very convenient and easy to work with!
