I feel so lucky to have found Dr. Lavorini and his wonderful staff! Having just moved to Oakland and read some good reviews about Dr. Lavorini, I scheduled a regular appointment for next Wednesday. Last night, I was awakened by horrible dental pain and was up all night in agony. Around 8am, I got on the phone and asked if there was any way they could squeeze me in today. The staff answered quickly and courteously, offered to verify my insurance before my arrival, and told me to come down to the office as soon as possible. When I got there, I was prepared to wait for hours, since I was accommodated as a stand by/emergency appointment. As soon as I finished the new patient paperwork, they were calling my name! Then, I was greeted by the kindest and most welcoming dental staff Ive ever met, made comfy in their gorgeous, loft like office, and even got to catch up on some "Chopped" episodes, while they were working on me. Dr. Lavorini or Ernie, as he offered to let me call him, has the warmest smile. I was immediately at ease, when he came into the room. He worked quickly and gently to resolve my dental problems, all the while smiling and saying reassuring things. I am so grateful to have found him and will definitely be sticking with him for as long as he continues to work!

Quick, Gentle, Clean, Professional service! I came in 6 months ago to get an annual teeth clean as a new patient, and although it took a couple weeks to get an appointment, I finally got one. The moment I walked into the office, Dr. Lavorini (dentist) welcomed me in with a big smile. The office staff was also very approachable and easy to talk to. After getting my X-ray, they told me that I still had some wisdom teeth. Fast forward 6 months later, my teeth starts hurting and Im getting them removed by the younger Dr. Lavorini (oral surgeon), who was extremely clear and explained how every wisdom teeth was going to feel as it was being extracted. The dental assistant made me feel comfortable and applied chapstick on my lips because it was starting to crack. During the tooth extractions, I can watch TV overhead. Also, the oral surgeon made sure to wash his hands between patients and I really appreciated that. Overall, the service was wonderful from office staff to dental assistants to dentist to oral surgeons. I would totally recommend this place! Lastly, I have GEHA and they take it.

In my experience, the whole office works like a well oiled machine, a team of Olympic class collaborators working together for the benefit of their clients and customers. The result, it appears to me, isnt perfection, since that is a conclusion a person in the present makes about a past experience, but instead something better. Each person given their assigned duties, pursues their own "personal best," going to the edge of their best to get a little better each time. And while it is an amazing operation and meets a high standard, Ive never felt like I was in "corporate hands." There is a touch of informality, a small town friendly feel, even with their busyness, that makes it look like a great place to work, too. Fifteen or so years ago, I was recommended by a friend. Im sure I could have found a dentist closer to San Rafael, but when someone like Ernie earns your trust and your high opinion of him is supported by a staff of professionals, all doing their friendly best, why would I go somewhere else? Dr. Lavorini and the entire staff are exceptional. Quick story - Dr. Lavorini just had knee surgery. His staff rescheduled my exam since he was out for recovery. When I came in for my cleaning, he happened to be there. I mentioned my exam cancellation and within seconds, he said, lets do your exam now. I was really impressed by how quickly he was willing to make it happen, saving me another trip to the office in 2 months! The customer oriented culture at this office is wonderful. The hygienists are also highly skilled and thorough at their craft and the front office staff are friendly and accommodating. Not quite sure how they built such a well rounded, successful and FUN practice but its working really well. I have really enjoyed my patient experience the past 2 years! Thanks Dr. Lavorini!

Ive reviewed this place before on yelp but had my first dental procedure done and thought they deserved another! I got my wisdom teeth out on Monday and boy, was it better than expected! Dr. Lavorini was so nice. I was verrryyyyy nervous and he was calm, reassuring, patient, and very gentle. The actual procedure was easy and painless, much to my surprise! Though it might have just been luck, I had no swelling, very minimal pain, and im already healing up (two days later). Everyone who works there is awesome and competent. I recently had a friend with only bad dental experiences try out this office and shes in love too. GO HERE!

Early, in my pre-teens, I had extensive dental work done above and beyond the final phase-braces. The aesthetics outcome was great! However, the mental and physical pain I endured under the hands of my DDS for years was devastating-so much so that decades later, I feared dental visits which eventually lead me seek dental work again. Years before the present, an extraction was performed by DDS Lavorini -it was quick and painless. Recently, one of my upper front teeth chipped and was very unsightly. I needed it fixed ASAP! Not only did Lavorini fix it he gave me an added perfect smile :) within days-Thank You!!!!

Im 68 years old -- and I think I can honestly say that this is the first time in my life that going to the dentist is not a dreaded experience. Dr. Gloria and the staff at Lavorini Dental Care are outstanding. Dr. Gloria needs to stop making me laugh, though, when she has her hands in my mouth. Today was teeth-cleaning. I arrived about 5 minutes early. . . appointment was for 9:45 -- and I walked out of the offices at 10:05. Great way to start my holiday weekend. Everybody at Lavorini Dental Care, happy holidays -- youre the best.

As a new(scared) patient with a terrible tooth ache and the root of my wisdom tooth hanging on by a thread I must say this was one of the best dental appointments I've ever had!! They were friendly, reassuring, quick, informative and efficient! They got me an appointment in a hurry were willing to work with me very affordable and Dr. Ernie I just love him!! I'd recommend them to any one especially someone that hates or is scared of going to the dentist!

Ive been seeing Dr. Gloria Fong for many years, and she is the best. Caring, funny, skillful. Genuinely cares about her patients. And I can say that on a few occasions when she has not been available when I needed to be seen, and I was treated by one of the other members of the practice, like the elder and younger Doctros Lavornie, and Doctor choi, i have always been treated so well and and happy with their treatment. All the staff are wonderful, too.

Ernie is just the best (but full disclosure...he has been my dentist for just about forever....ok) He works with what you have and makes it all work. The entire staff at this office is friendly, capable , and very efficient, as well as working with what ever insurance you may have - not a bad approach. This office wants you to have the best smile you can have, and based on my experience, you will have one too. :)
