Why is it this hospital would rather cater to the homeless drug addicts of Oroville treat them as if they arent coming there to take advantage of medi-cal and the free drugs , rather than a true in need 2 day post operative patient who had nowhere to go for safe giving care ,due to extenuating circumstances had felt house was unsafe and filing for divorce , I wasnt violent , maybe disruptive when I was told "it was just anxiety and to return to the unsafe environment that I had just been removed from and I would feel better tomorrow"then on top of it all throw you out with police escort when you can barely walk, no wheelchair or assisted walking , then says I didnt sign anything so there is no discharge papers to the officer . Immediately called that a lie and stated I signed and already have copies of where I signed the consent to treat . Magically a discharge paper arrived . This was by far the worst medical treatment I have ever received and I will be damned if I am ever in that hospital again if I can help it , dieing or not if conscious I prefer Feather River in Paradise or Sutter Roseville medical in Roseville .this all happened 8/24/17 from 1pm to almost 6 pm I spent on a gurney in the hallway hooked a machine that the nurse from Georgia kept telling me was broken when alarm kept going off and it was saying I wasnt breathing . The rating wouldnt let me put Negative 1000 Stars.......... I would rather suffer an 8 hour ride in a box with my back pain than to ever step foot in that , I dont even want to call it, hospital I cannot stress enough do not go here if you can help it well unless you already do drugs and are homeless. Cause if you dont die waiting you sure will from the care . I didnt know it but they even screwed up before my surgery on my social when I went in for Pre-op Labs and X-ray that experience wasnt so bad but didnt find this out till I was going thru the 5150 check that I didnt need . Instead of helping me get cleared to fly so I could get to family or in touch with surgeon or even any other type of help after telling me it was anxiety they never once gave me anything to help just called the OPD who once outside was more compassionate even with me being angry and stupid high on meds from surgery and made me think before doing something stupid like punching him just so I could get some type of care. Im sorry to anyone who doesnt heed this warning . Dont say you havent been fully informed. Update: went to my doctor and was informed that this really is the worst Hospital in Butte County. My lawyer doesnt handle this case and has handed all info over . Lawsuit pending Thank You Oroville Hospital for giving me the opportunity to settle out of court........

This is a GREAT Hospital !!!!!! There are people on these reviews that are complaining of the ER and the billing department. Duh. Of course the ER is going to be busy, people use the ER as a primary care clinic. It is an EMERGENCY department, for things emergent....life and death...not primary care, I have a cold. Duh. Lets go clog up the ER with a simple cold. Billing complaint....Duh, people complain of their hospital bills. Go get health care in Canada or Mexico than. You pay for what you get. If you want the best medical care in the world, than dont go to American Hospitals. My wife had a wonderful experience through the ER to the medical floor. Her physicians were very kind. She had great nursing care throughout my stay. My wife had a procedure performed in radiology by Dr. Cirillo and he was one of the best physicians that has ever treated her. He explained everything to us very thoroughly and he was highly compassionate about his care. He even gave us his cell phone number in case, we had a question when we left. What kind of doctor or hospital would do that. We also had great care from Dr. Afrasiabi (spelling??) who was in charge of my wifes care. Now they could improve the hospital food, but that is a standard everywhere. The rooms where clean and manageable for us. My wife left the hospital in better medical condition than when she go in there. Overall, great care. I am happy that this hospital is in our region. Going to hospitals in Sacramento are too busy and that Chico hospital outright sucks!! Enloe what a crappy place to get medical care.

Well I get sick alot because of my health issues so Ive stayed many times. What Im really sick of here is there night staff who hate their job and take it out on the patients. For instance my nurse is a rude, hateful, know it all who clearly hates his job and has made me miserable all night. You know its really frustrating you come here because youre deathly ill to get help, which actually I was all day. I must say my experience with the morning and day crew today was great. But then I got stuck with the guy who only fakes a smile in front of the doc, you know his boss, (this happened) but treats his patients like crap because hes not happy. You know being a nurse is showing hospitality, caring and taking care of those who need it. Why is it Everytime Im here I get these nurses? I think its time to weed then out. I have a few names Ive reported. One nurse said I should just bottle fed instead of breast fed because I had to store my milk in there fridge in the maternity ward, my son was premier and I was doing what was best. I honestly could go on for days, but seriously for these people its what makes this hospital terrible. Maybe one day Ill have one whole day in here thats good instead of like 7 hours of misery a day or more from nurses you hired and hate there job. If they dont understand sick people and dont want to help your patients, get a new job. This hospital needs to weed out all the employees that are only nice to you doctors and treat us like garbage

Had to visit the ER due to severe back pain. They reduced my pain level and made me as comfortable as possible while we awaited the results from the CT scan they managed to get set up and completed within 30 minutes of my arrival. Granted, there was only one other person ahead of me in the ER at the time and I know it would have taken longer had there been a longer line. Luck of the draw definitely played a part this visit. All said and done, I was given a clear idea of what I was facing in regards to my back as well as a referral to rehab for physical therapy. The ER nurse, ER physician assistant and radiology staffer were kind, respectful and gave me the feeling I was in capable hands. Not at all what had I anticipated after reading reviews on here on Yelp. The physical therapy staff at Doves Landing are the bomb. They helped me get everything scheduled to meet my needs and though they work me hard and I get frustrated at the lack of progress (I prefer instant gratification) they offer me a lot of encouragement. Not just the therapist that Im working with directly but each person on staff that sees me working through my therapy. Yes, Ill definitely make the trip to Oroville Hospital ER instead of my local ER.
