This was not a great veterinary experience. When I arrived, the receptionist kept trying to get me to bring in my dog despite me giving her warning on the phone and in person that he was reactive towards other dogs and Id like to wait until the lobby was empty or we had a room ready. Then, after getting him into the room it was apparent that the room had not been cleaned after the previous patient, as there was drool (?) and tons of fur on the floor. The receptionist came back in after seating us in the room and said "Oh, I didnt realize you were new to the practice. Here, I need you to fill out these forms", even though I had told her multiple times I had never been seen by that vet. Then the tech came in and took a very brief summary of the problem, but did not record it in the computer and didnt want to look at the printed vet history I had brought for my dog. When the vet came in, he realized that the computer program was closed, told us hed be right back after he figured out the error, then took 5+ minutes to return. He walked into the room and tried to dismiss my concerns with my dog. Finally, he did briefly look at what my dog was presenting for (a possible infection of the penis/sheath), but did not do any sort of thorough examination (actually, no physical exam was done and the vet also didnt look at my dogs previous vet records), despite the fact that I mentioned it was possible for my dog to have an embedded foxtail. The vet shrugged, said "oh, I suppose that does look a little swollen" and prescribed an anti-inflammatory and antibiotics. He charged $2.00/pill of Amoxicillin!!! That should be one of the cheapest drugs around! He then also charged a ridiculous price for the Rimadyl and $10 for a chlorhexidine solution (which was presented as five pieces of soaked gauze). By that point, I really just wanted out of the office, so I didnt check any of the dosages or argue the prices, but I certainly should have. Dont be fooled by the low exam fee - hell gouge you on the prescriptions and not even do an exam on your pet!

If I could give this Hospital more that 5 stars I would! This Veterinary Hospital truly exemplifies what every Vet office should be; Compassionate, affordable, accurate diagnosis and treatment, in the most comforting environment. Dr. Chaudhri is one of the best Veterinarians around. Not only is he caring and genuine, but he is very humble and has a heart of gold. I was extremely satisfied with my appointment, from the way all of the staff interacted with my pets, to how extremely knowledgeable Dr. Chaudhri was with all questions I asked, and all his new ideas and information on every subject I had concerns or questions about. He made me feel at ease and comfortable leaving my animal there every time. I highly recommend them, and not only because of their empathy towards their clients, but the reasonable pricings they have, especially with the Dental services. They are informative, affordable, and reasonable! How much better can you get with that? They are worth every visit! It is not always easy finding a place you feel comfortable leaving your animals at, but I promise you will not regret a visit to Dr. Chaudhri at Veterinary Medical Center! Thank You Doctor and Staff once again for all of your services and hard work!

We brought our Foster puppy Carmello back to the vet due to a Dx of PARVO!!! THAT THEY MISSED!!! After fostering him from 9/13 to 9/17. They had NO medical history for him prior to his owner-surrender and not only failed to perform a parvo test before releasing him to the general public (exposing gods know how many dogs n cats), when we brought him back for treatment and re-homing to a new Parvo-ready foster they NEGLECTED TO CHECK ON HIM OR ADMINISTER ANY MEDICATIONS/FLUIDS FOR OVER 24 HOURS!!!! HE WAS COVERED IN HIS OWN FECES, EVEN IN HIS CONE AND ALONG A LACERATION/NEUTER SITE THAT HAS STICHES!!! With a parvo infection that level of NEGLECT could KILL HIM! His case is CRITICAL as parvo has a 50/50 outcome with home treatment and a 90% survival rate WITH PROPER HOSPITAL TREATMENT. They failed to uphold their healing oaths. They attempted to withhold UCD ER prescribed medications and IV Sub-q fluids that we dropped with him when he was removed by the new foster. This "Vet" does not deserve your trust nor has any business taking care of the health of your animals. GO ELSEWHERE.

Dont go here unless you can pay everything up front, even in emergency cases. I asked if I could pay two days later or if there was any form of payment plan when given the treatment estimate for an issue that could potentially be very harmful for my dogs, they said no. I told them I couldnt pay for the examination (which I was unaware I was being charged for), and they said it would go to "collections". So now I have to pay them $120+ for less than 20 minutes of their time, through a 3rd party payment on a later date, instead of being paid in one transaction a couple days later. And my dogs may still be at risk until I take them to the Rio Linda vet later today (hopefully). Im no longer using this office for my pet concerns.

I took my dog here and felt like they were trying to take of the fear I had for his health. It was a fox tail they told us and gave me a list of items they were going to charge to remove it . so instead of spending just shy of $500.00 to remove it I chose to spend $150.00 to get him a shot of antibiotics and some other form of it to have him take orally. I hope that I had the right feeling on this because I would have paid the amount if that is truly what he needed but it seemed really fishy to me especially when the front desk was still trying to sell it by telling us not to wait to long because it can go through the ear drum and travel to his brain and kill him.

My husband and I brought in our little Charlie-Girl (cat) due to a bad eye infection that actually turned out to be a terrible eye laceration of her left eye. Dr. Chaudhri was very thorough and honest about letting us know that the severity of Charlies eye condition, may lead to the removal it. However, the first thing he recommended for it was a treatment of antibiotics & a corneal repair gel. Thanks to his recommendations & diligent follow-ups, Charlies eye is far better & she is no longer in danger of losing her left eye. Big thanks to Dr. Chaudhri & the very caring staff at the Veterinary Medical Center! Sincerely, Albert, Genia, & Charlie-Girl

I had a true emergency situation with my dog. I was turned away by multiple other vets in the area until I was fortunate enough to call Veterinary Medical Center. They actually realized the gravity of the situation and got me in to see Dr. Chaudri IMMEDIATELY. The care was quick and extremely professional. They were incredibly accommodating, always answered the phone, the Doctor was always able to be reached. I couldnt have asked for a better experience. A+ all the way around.

Newly opened vet center in Natomas. The office is conveniently located in the Safeway strip mall. With plenty of parking, this allowed for easy access when bringing in my three (yes Three) dogs. The office is clean and friendly. Dr. Chaudri is professional and explained the treatment plan thoroughly. I love supporting family businesses and recommend him highly. I look forward to working with him and his wife (also a veterinarian) for many years to come.
