I have been a faithful customer of HyperOptics since landing in San Francisco nearly 5 years ago. More importantly, every single friend I sent here (4+ and counting) raves about them as I do. Why are we all HyperOptics devotees? 1. They carry all the latest styles, but refrain from simply just riding fads! Every frame is carefully chosen, ensuring that while they are stylish and often cutting edge, they remain timeless. 2. Do you want frames carefully hand-crafted in Japan, Italy or France? They have all the ones worth wearing and raving about. 3. The staff are incredible: they will help you select the frames that bring out YOUR best features. 4. Quality matters! Your glasses will not start suddenly pressing or pinching random areas of your face or head after a few months/years of wear. Mine have been through safaris, backpacking and rock climbing falls, yet fit like a glove still. Also, I regularly have strangers stop me to ask where I got my frames from! 5. They have a wide selection to fit every taste. Both my more stylistically-conservative along with my fashion-friendly friends are ecstatic with their purchases. Whoever their buyer is, they are worth their weight in gold! Word of advice/caution... When you first step in, if you are anything like my friends and I, you may be a bit overwhelmed! You will wonder about with about 20 frames, trying all on, totally unsure which of the seemingly all-perfect-pile is the one for you. Here is the solution that will rock your world: a) Walk in. b) Look around, but dont worry too much about picking a specific pair, just figure out which frame style you want as far as plastic vs titanium vs no frame, etc. c) Find A.J. He seems to be always there, and is the manager/bald guy. Wait for a second or two until he is not flooded with the other customers he is likely already dealing with. d) Tell him that you heard that he has the magic touch/eye when it comes to picking the right frames and that you are hoping he can pick some for you too... e) Tell him your preferred frame style. At this point, he will likely glace at your face for a second or two, they run around the store, bringing you a pile of perfectly fitting glasses! So far, without fail, he has outfitted everyone I sent in with the most magical pair, perfectly tailored for their bone structure and personalities. When there is traffic on the road, I now have to drive nearly two hours to get to them, yet would not conceive of frequenting any other optometrist when it comes to my glasses. Ive been going here for 6 years. My original optometrist at the office has left, but my new one is just as friendly and thorough. Their support staff has been consistent and amazing. Lastly, they always have great contemporary frames in stock.
