I visited the Silver Avenue Health Center today for the first time. Initially, I had called about 10 times over the course of 2 hours on the main line; so that sucked. However, I did end up pressing options to speak to an advice nurse, and she was great about getting back to me, even setting up my appointment. The advice nurse is Pat, and she was so helpful on the phone and in person. She ended up dropping in when I was about to get my 4, thats right 4 pricks, immunizations. She talked to me and advised me to breath. May was doing the injections, and she was nice too. Being in medical facilities isnt a pleasant experience for me; I actually avoided getting any kind of health care for 9 years. So it helps a great deal when people are nice and informative. Pat really went out of her way to be helpful and kind; I really appreciate that. Shots arent fun, but the company during them can make a world of difference with how painful the experience can be...yeah, it hurt, but it was very easy to get over it. So yay for me getting immunizations over with, and yay for Silver Ave. Health Center for offering great service.

A very calm, small, welcoming clinic compared to many. I love my doctor (Dr. Adrienne Kane) and hope she never leaves as others have over the years. Staff doesnt get to spend much time with you, but thats an insurance issue more than anything on their end (insurance companies mandate spending very little time with patients to save money.) Staff frequently ignore this rule.... shhh. ;) Staff work long hours, work hard, and do everything they can for patients. Very positive atmosphere. Lots of free additional services such as acupuncture.

Moved back to SF just to re-join this clinic!! medi-cal patients are horrible discriminated against in the east bay- this place treats every patient like family!! TY !!! xoxoxo
