Ive been to Del Amo Optometry twice now, once in Aug. 2011 and once in Aug. 2012. Both times have been great. The secretarial staff is fine, and pleasant. Im not sure what other reviewers are talking about (maybe too sensitive?). The real plus though are the doctors that work here. I saw a man with a grey beard in 2011, and a woman with short hair in 2012. I was very impressed with the level of expertise both of them showed in their work. I have keratoconus, which makes my visit more complicated than the average, so I think it says something if I am willing to say that I was satisfied with the care I received. The visits did feel a little bit rushed, I will admit, but have you ever been to an optometrist/eye doctor that is actually on schedule? I sure havent. Anyway, barring a few small annoyances, I think this place is great, and would like to continue my business here. I am very shocked to see all of the negative reviews.

I have been a patient since 2004. Service has gone downhill in the recent years. I made an appointment to get new glasses before I move out of state. Im trying to get things taken care so I can not worry about it for a year in my new home. They told me they were going to have to reschedule my appointment because my insurance company wouldnt tell them how they handle paying their portion of my bill. In the end they called again and took a chance on seeing me but still a matter between them and my insurance company which is IN NETWORK for them should have never been made an issue for me. I gave 3 stars because the doctor was sweet, Michael has been there for years and is always wonderful. But if I were basing this review off the front desk service I would have given them zero!!! I am actually looking forward to seeing my husbands eye doctor in Tennessee because this place has turned into trash!

Ive been coming here since I was in high school and have found Dr. Quick and her staff to be nothing but professional and efficient. Dr. Quick answers all and any questions I have and its always a quick in and out (no pun intended). I will say though that the assortment of frames are limited. Once I took my prescription elsewhere to get a new pair of glasses and when I finally got them, the prescription was wrong! What had happened is that the front desk gave me my contacts prescription instead of my glasses prescription. When I called to explain the situation the office manager Mike apologized profusely and offered to switch out the frames free of charge. Very happy with the whole process. Since then (2011) I havent had anything but a good experience.

I called in and scheduled an appointment easily. When I came in for my appointment, I was called in to the Optometrists office within 10 minutes. She was very courteous and cordial and answered all of my many questions patiently and thoroughly. When ordering my contacts she asked about my history with them and which brand I had enjoyed previously. She took extra care to have her staff call me in for multiple fittings until we found the contact brand that felt the most comfortable to me (it took a few appointments and I rescheduled quite a few times but they were all very patient with me.) Then the Optometrist ordered them and had them ready for pickup within 2 days! Wonderful experience! I will be coming here every year!

Terrible Customer Service. I went in to get a prescription back in September 2011, four months later, I still haven’t been able to get it from them. It’s a long story of frustration so I’ll leave out the details. The only good experience I had is with the optometrist who was very kind and accommodating. The receptionists, however, were rude, talked over me and blamed me for the delay in my order, which they never submitted in the first place. They tell me the manager will call me but is never available to speak, even when I came into the store. The customer service is terrible. I’m still trying to get in contact with the manager to tell him what I’ve experienced. I will never return to Del Amo Optometrist.

Del Amo Optometrys staff was extremely helpful and pleasant in trying to help solve a problem. (We needed new magnetic clip on sunglasses to match a specific frame.) The manufacturer made a mistake when sending the replacement, Del Amo was quick to figure out a solution, contact the manufacturer, and work something out. They were always prompt with phone calls and good about leaving messages. I will work with them again -- way better than Lenscrafters!

Not what it used to be. Ive been going here since they were located in the mall. The last couple times I went in there the girls at the front desk were rude, cursing, and talking about their personal drama when the place was FULL of customers (weekend) I couldnt believe how unprofessional these girls were. Whoever is in charge of hiring these girls needs to be fired.. You have lost not only me, but the rest of my family as customers.

I havent been to the eye doctor in years and I was very comfortable at Del Amo Optometry. My exam wait was only a few minutes, the staff was very helpful and the doctor was great - she explained all the tests and took her time going through my results. The services they provide create benchmarks for your medical records so they can watch the changes in your health over the years. I would highly recommend going to this eye doctor.

I went in 3 times and each time I had the chance to talk to the employees, they all behaved like they had something better to do. My prescription was wrong, the frames I got didnt fit, and when I called to see about having it fixed they said it would be no problem on the phone- no charge. When I got there however, they said I would need a new exam and couldnt find my information. DO NOT GO. Find another place!

I highly recommend Del Amo Optometry. The staff was friendly and courteous. They answered my questions regarding my new insurance plan and was able to get me an appointment that same week. The doctor explained the results of the exam and was very informative about my future eye care needs. The selection of frames was also very good and it was well within my budget. I was very happy with the service I received.

I have been going to Del Optometry for years, ever since they were in the mall and have never had any issues at all. The staff is efficient and helpfull and freindly. The Doctor is kind and patient. Getting the fittings have been so easy. My daughter has been going to them since she was a child and still does as an adult. In fact I am getting ready to make an appointment right now for both of us.

Insurance verification REQUIRED before they will even make an appointment. REQUIRED to give your social security number on the phone. Very rude receptionist. Put on hold for over five minutes. This place is a money grab.
