Dr. Blatter is awesome. Hands down the best dentist Ive seen since Ive had teeth. Staff is A+, office is A+ (without being extravagant). There isnt a person (that I like) who I would not send to Aurora Family Dentistry. Truly a hidden gem of a practice among a sea of the old stereotype. Thats the Cliffs Notes version of my review. Read below for the whole storyh. 46 y/o dad of 6 here. Single bread-winner. Libra. (a joke) Four months ago, upon trying to open a bag of beef jerky with my teeth, I cracked my upper left canine off at gum level. The next week, an overenthusiastic bite into a Panera bread bowl cost me the incisor next to it (a crown). Not two weeks later, a less than graceful after-midnight dismount from a slippery hotel shower in Menomonie Wisconsin almost cost me my life. Fortunately, I broke the fall with my mouth on the toilet. My top front tooth (a veneer) went skittering across the floor like a lone chicklet dropped from waste high. I had truly scored the Trifecta! With insurance costing what it does and covering as little as it does, I was hoping to get this all taken care of as frugally as possible. Cement two teeth and crown the other. Easy peasy. Dentist number 1 didnt want to take on the main issue (said hes not a prosthodontic - which I thought were extinct) but did take 57 x-rays and come up with a treatment plan for all of my other maladies. Check please - $5,700. Dentist number 2 didnt like the look of my bite. No, not one bit. 82 more x-rays and an upper and lower impression. Two weeks later we have the discussion. He wants to remove 5 additional teeth and then, with 4 cadaver implants and some baling wire, give me the smile of unicorns and pixie dust. $8,900. Enter Dr. Landon Blatter of Aurora Family Dentistry. Young. Fit. Laid back. Family man. Harvard grad. Instant man-crush (Im secure.) Dr. Landon sits down next to me and asks whats going on and what my objective was. After 10 or 15 minutes of discussion, he poked around a bit, took a couple of x-rays and laid out what he thought were my best three options for treating these teeth. The option we decided on hadnt even been mentioned by the other gents Id seen (and was a fraction of the cost). I felt like I actually had an advocate here! That we were on the same page - working as a team. The office staff is great. Email appointment reminders. ACTUAL REAL-LIFE PHONE CALLS FROM THE DENTAL ASSISTANTS TO SEE HOW I WAS DOING MID-TREATMENT!! Truly wizards with insurance. All the pens and hand sanitizers I could steal and they didnt say a word. Here is what seals the deal on my review. Im a single breadwinner with a family of 6. Took a BEATING with the new health care premiums. I know I have an issue with pretty much every other tooth in my head. But you hold off on a broken filling here, and one of your kids can take music lessons. Hold off on a cracked molar there and you can take a kid out somewhere nice for their birthday. A dads priorities are what they are. Dr. Blatter knew where I was coming from. He wrote out a plan of attack in the order of urgency. When my benefits re-up in January Ill be in there the first appointment I can get to get the tooth that is threatening some infection taken care of - and maybe a broken filling or two. Dr. Blatter gave me no pressure whatsoever to pony up the big bucks while I was figuratively strapped in the seat. Right or wrong, this dad has to prioritize - and I left today, very pleased with my bridge, dignity intact.

Absolute Joy to have been fortunate enough to find such a kind, GENTLE, compassionate dental team. I am a 57 year old male that experienced a dental nightmare in my early 20s . I was extremely reluctant to enter a dental office. Upon arriving at AURORA FAMILY DENTISTRY I was greeted from minute 1 with a smile. The smiles continued throughout my dental treatment. 3 visits down and i could not highly recommend this dental team enough. I am 100% grateful for the wonderful , gentle, professional treatment that i received at Aurora Family Dentistry. I could never Thank the wonderful stafff enough. State of the art dentistry, modern equipment , spotless , wonderful staff. All that i could dream of as far as a fantastic dental experience. I cant say THANK YOU ENOUGH. Didnt get any of my issues resolved. There was one in particular: I had a bleeding gum and came to see a doc there twice. Both times he and his assistant said it happens and I just have to brush my teeth better. I went to another dentist and she immediately identified that I had a cracked filling which was injuring the gum every time I took a bite. Something that took me half an hour to get fixed took a year of bleeding because I believed the dentist in this clinic. But what else do you do when a DOCTOR tells you TWICE that theres no problem... UPDATE: I use an alias for my reviews, but this is a correct office.

Dr. Blatter and the Aurora Family dentistry team are wonderful and so personable! I have been going to them for 10 years now and highly recommend them for any dental work needed. They have become a little like family for me as they always ask about the latest house renovations were working on or about how a family vacation went. They are caring not just about the quality of their work but about their patients too and work with you for the best outcome. Alway prompt, attentive and friendly. Dr. Blatter is very personable and approachable. The office itself is clean and comfortable. Weve been seeing Dr. Blatter for more than five years now and its always been a very pleasant experience. Each staff member weve dealt with, from reception to technician to dentist, has been welcoming and professional. Definitely recommend this practice.

My family and I love Aurora Family Dentistry! I cannot speak highly enough of the dentists and hygienists! They are awesome, and so is the support staff. Everyone is truly phenomenal. Although this is not a "childrens" dentist office, my children, ages 7-12, all have really enjoyed their experiences there. The care and education given at this office is wonderful. We are so pleased.

I must say this is the most professional and welcoming office I have been to. Everyone seemed to genuinely care about my experience and teeth during all of my visits. The staff, hygienists, and doctors worked well together, the office was very clean, and everyone took their time to make sure I was taken care of. This place is a real gem in Aurora.

My fave dentists! State of the art, and truly compassionate as well as highly skilled, the entire staff. Whether youre getting a crown made the same day, new implants, cosmetic work, or just a cleaning, youll be impressed from when you walk in the door. I cant imagine having anyone else.
