I purchased a pair of Ray Ban frames and told the lady I wanted the best anti glare. I was not given any lens options. I paid for premium anti glare but did not receive what I paid for. The lady then proceeded to adjust the frames that fit me perfectly with no regard to what I wanted. I also purchased sunglass lens which were perfect. So a few days later my glasses are hurting me due to the adjustments I go back in to pick up my sunglass lens and have the lady adjust my glasses she bends the front part of my frames to add pano not what I needed I needed the better anti glare. So Im unhappy again I go home then go back the next day and talk to a different lady I get new frames ordered because of the mutilation of the first frame. I also talk to her about the lenses I did not receive. So I get new lenses ordered and the frames I wait the few days I go back and get them when they are ready. I pick up my new frames and I am oh so excited to see they seem fine ten minutes after leaving the store I go to wipe my lens and there is a clicking sound due to an undercut of my lens, I call back and now I am really frustrated and upset I ask to speak to a manager "Michelle comes on the line I explain everything she says come get your old pair and we will fix the new pair. Well lo and behold they "fixed" them alright not even close they heated up my frame with the lenses inside them and it crazed my lens terribly so after all this I just ask for my money back. I received a refund and then when I called to understand the refund better I was given the worst attitude ever. I will not ever step foot inside this place nor will I ever refer anyone here. Its super unfortunate because I really liked my eye doctor there.

Ive always had a good experience with this practice until now. In Jan/Feb I went for my usual annual eye exam. I was encouraged to try a new contact lens as Im sure these drs get a commission if they persuade their clients to buy their product. So I was convinced to try them and after 4 more visits explaining something is wrong with these lens as it my vision is blurry. 3 drs insisted it was age but I knew it was something else. Dr Ortman decided it was medically necessary to do this eye test for $114 so I did it with hesitation. Results were negative and a few months later I decided I was going to get to the bottom of this. I called the front desk and explained my symptoms over the past 4-5 months and she simply said " it can be the sensitivity to the silicone that can cause the blurriness, this is a new product ". Makes perfect sense, why couldnt 3 drs listen to me to come to that conclusion?!?! She gave me trials of my old pair of lenses and boom, problem fixed. I called to have the eye test reversed and Dr Ortman refused. My family of 4 will NOT be returning and I will make sure I share my experience with others. $114 is nothing for the dr to reverse but for me with a lot of medical bills that Dr Ortman knew I had, he couldnt even refund the charge.

Let me start by saying Im 41 and I just purchased my first pair of prescription glasses. Having never worn glasses before, I was quick to chisel down the options to keep my costs low. Eye glasses are far from inexpensive no matter where you go. I purchased my glasses perfectly as my budget would have it. Once I got them, it was very difficult to get used to and I struggled to see clearly. It took a couple days but I realized that one key feature I was quick to turn down was the Anit-Glare. Yes, this I learned was a huge factor to why my glasses were not performing as I hoped. I had the thought "why do I care if theres a glare on the front of my glasses, thats what others will see - not me". Well the glare is actually very noticeable from the back side of the glasses. It was horrible, everything looked like it was glowing or worse, I could see the reflection of my skin and face right in my view. Needless to say, I was frustrated. I went back and talked to CPEC and they were happy to remake my glasses with the Anti-Glare. I got them back a couple weeks ago and what a difference. The Anit-Glare is worth every penny! Thanks Michelle, you were fantastic to work with ;)

I have been going to Castle Pines Eye Care for two years. Dr. Jason Ortman and the staff are really wonderful. They have an amazing selection, good prices, and really work with you. This year I decided that I wasnt going to put anti-reflective coating on my glasses. My prescription didnt change from last year and decided I could save money. I walked in today and put my new glasses on and boy could I tell the difference. Seeing really is believing!!! The glare was incredible and it even made my eyes hurt!! I got out my old glasses to compare and there was a huge difference!! I really thought that buying the anti-reflecting coating was a joke, but it really isnt. Having my other glasses to compare really made me a believer. Now, I WILL NEVER go without the coating. The staff at Castle Pines Eye Care were wonderful and are sending my glasses back to have my glasses redone. They worked with me on the cost and didnt even say, I told you so.

Dr. Brenner was so wonderful and explained everything perfectly. She was incredibly patient and kind. She answered all of my many questions clearly so I truly understood things I had not previously. When it was time to pick out my glasses Michelle was more helpful than anyone I have ever worked with in a lifetime of picking out glasses. She was creative, and very fun to work with. She knew before I did what frame I would reach for and was very expedient in her manner. We had a great rapport so I completely trusted her suggestions and opinions when it came to making decisions. The front desk staff did all the work contacting my insurance to determine my insurance benefits so once I walked in the door it was truly nothing but the best experience I have ever had in eye care from start to finish. Please do not take your business anywhere else - you will never get this level of service elsewhere!

Castle Pines Eye Care and specifically Dr Ortman, are wonderful. Everything is easy there. The entire staff is super friendly and the optician, Deb who helped me with my glasses purchase , are extremely helpful, honest and knowledgable. Last year I unfortunately purchased a pair of glasses somewhere other than CPEC and was very disappointed. When I brought them in to be adjusted, Curtis, one of the opticians knew exactly what was wrong with the lenses and wrote up a diagnostic for me to take back to the original purchase place (which I did, to their annoyance). Dr. Ortman is extremely personable and of course, knowledgable. He listens to any concerns or questions I may have and always makes sure I am comfortable with my contacts. I highly recommend Dr. Ortman and Castle Pines Eye Care to anyone looking for eye car!!
