I have a plethora of bad dental experiences, botched fillings, not enough numbing agent... etc. But, my most recent visit takes the cake. Firstly, I do admit that Im terrified of the dentist, so I do try and give the doctors the benefit of the doubt. But, Dr. Kranick made me more scared of the dentist than Ive ever been. I went in to get a crown after a wonderfully done root canal from an endodontic clinic- and I didnt know what I was in for. At all. The doctor came in and gave me a very basic explanation of what a crown is, he said he would simply shave off the top of my tooth and place a crown- and anyone who has had a crown knows this isnt the case -- most of the tooth is shaved down. So, obviously I was in for a surprise. But that comes later. When I was getting prepped for numbing, I tried to make a joke to be friendly with him. "Oh man, you really need to numb me? I hate the dentist for this reason." And he shot back with a rude and abrupt reply "Well, if you liked the dentist thered be something wrong with you." I figured from then on this wasnt going to be a good visit to the dentist. After numbing me, he began. But, he started asking his assistant (who was lovely and very kind to me during my whole experience. I cant remember her name but she made everything much more bearable) what some tools were and that hed never used them....in front of me. That made me less than comfortable to put it gently. Then, as he was shaving down the tooth, I dont know what happened maybe his hand slipped or he pushed too hard but there was a LOUD and painful crack and I was so startled I started crying. Kindly enough, he retracted his hand but gave me a couple minutes before he so kindly asked "Are you done yet." I was ready to be done at that point, but the same thing happened again where either his hand slipped or something and the noise and pain happened again. Not only this, but he kept on nicking my tongue to the point where I was able to feel it and it caused great discomfort. That shouldnt happen at all, every dentist Ive had whether good or bad has never NEVER nicked my tongue to the point where I would bleed. Afterwards, I had to run to the bathroom while he was checking on a different client and I saw my tongue, but I also saw my tooth that I wasnt expecting to be so small (had he properly informed me of the process). And, not only that but the gums were demolished. And, I dont know if gums should be drilled in to for a crown, but all the people in my life who have had a crown said this is not the case. Dr. Kranick couldnt be bothered to discuss with me what he was doing, and had no compassion for me whatsoever. Thankfully, his assistant was very kind and made the effort to calm me down. Bright now! Dental is not a bad office by any means... the front desk is kind, and orthodontics crew is wonderful, and the hygienists and assistants are very professional and kind. But, because of his complete lack of professionalism, lack of compassion, and lack of communication I will NEVER get services from here again until hes gone.

Three words sum up this place: Unprofessional, utter incompetence. I had an appointment scheduled weeks in advance for an exam and cleaning yesterday. Upon walking in, a masked mute girl sat at the desk and just stared at me. No hello, no may I help you. She just continued to stare at me as walked up to the desk. Realizing that this simpleton must not be versed in basic customer service skills, I greeted her and stated my name and purpose. Her response? Uhh, well, I dont work up here. I look back at her blankly, and then two other masked girls mindlessly chatting in the back said, Oh, you can just sign in, we dont do this stuff. Okay then. I signed in. A few minutes later, a curly-haired, middle-aged woman came up and asked me to complete a million pages of paper work (history, insurance, HIPAA, sign the rights away to your firstborn, etc.) and she proceeded to take copies of my ID and insurance card. Everything looks kosher and she tells me to have a seat. After about ten minutes, I hear my name. Great! Right? No. It was the same curly-haired woman who then said, Would it be okay if you come in another day for your cleaning? Our hygienist is out all week, so we can only do the exam today. WHAT? I asked her why they hadnt called to let me know ahead of time, you know, BEFORE I took off work? She said, Oh, that wouldve been me and I didnt. Okay, why didnt you tell me the minute I walked in the door and BEFORE I completed all of your flipping paperwork? Well, we can get you in when shes back. I stared at her, dumbfounded. She then kind of whispered, We can give you a deal on any services you may need when you come back. I guffawed. I have perfect teeth, no fillings. I told her that will do me no good, since I never needed services. (Although, this place clearly strikes me as the type of place that will try to sell you unneeded services. But anyway...) Meanwhile, the whole time were having this convo, another masked chick stood in the back staring at me. Needless to say, I didnt have my exam. And no, I wont be going back to this joke of a dentists office for a cleaning another day, either. In short, if you like wasting your time, love multiple trips to the dentist, and enjoy being silently stared at by people with zero customer skills, this is the place for you! Otherwise, run (dont walk) far, far away from this place.

My family and I recently moved to Castle Rock and we needed to find a new dentist. After going to the same dentist for over 20 years I was not looking forward to finding a new one. I chose to try Bright Now Dental, it was one of the best decisions I have made! Their entire staff is amazing! Everyone is so nice and friendly and they all care about you, and making your experience in their office the very best. Myself, my husband and my three children ages 4, 7, and 10 have all had amazing experiences at this office. I would highly recommend them!

If I could give this office zero stars, I would. I have never felt so mistreated by a dentist before. I came to them in serious pain and they refused to help and treated my horribly. I am in the process of contacting corporate and properly pressing charges for their lack of medical help and compassion! Dont go here!!! I will forever warn people of my awful experience Ive had!

The doctor is personable as well. Takes interest in all issues, talks about all subjects of interest with clients. A great experience. For 10 years I have been with them.

I just love Dr. Amanda Shaffner! Always walk the extre mile for me to make my orthodontist appointments so easy and majority of the time pain free. I truly feel that Dr. Shaffner loves what she dose for living and deliver her medical knowledge on the best way possible. Natalia Henley.
