I have the same ethical issues that it appears others have had as well. When I questioned the issue that we received a bill once and they wanted immediate payment or refused to schedule with my daughter again I was attacked. It appears to me that both Dr. Anderson and his father, retired NSA, run the clinic as if they are Officers and everyone else is a private. I pay for cash for everything and so when I discovered the bill, upon check-out (now remember they scheduled for an additional appointment even with the outstanding bill) the receptionist wanted us to pay in full and I didnt have enough cash which I explained. She asked if we could pay something so that she could schedule an appt. My 19 year old handed over her credit card, she ran it, had my daughter sign it, snatched it and then said she would have to ask billing if she could schedule an appointment. Of course she couldnt. I do not like being treated as if I am a dead beat and then I wrote to explain the situation and Mr. Anderson was very nice until he decided he wanted to play hardball saying that "in addition to our outstanding balance because Tricare has a deductible that my daughter also missed a couple of appointments (2 actually, 1 where they never called us to confirm and claimed they didnt have my number-the 2nd they called to confirm the appointment for the wrong day) but they would waive that if I paid in full immediately. The issue was never me paying. I would always pay, but dont use your hard handed tactics to strong arm and bully. Do they have a waiting room full? Yes, generally old, retired military members but after discovering that they actually billed Tricare incorrectly and in excess of what they should that may change. They have also began to accept Tricare Prime and I would bet that they are using their military connections to funnel people in to the office. I have no intention of returning and none of my family does. I would say to definitely beware. They like to pad appointments and will drag out your treatment to ensure that they can bill you as often as possible. Now Im sure I will be slammed on here as well but the right fights are never the easy ones, the right choices are never the easy ones. It is always to be tempted to be unethical and considering the man managing the clinic worked at the NSA well need I say more. Go ahead Andersons and slander me. I wont back down. I will not be talked down to because you believe that you are always morally right, but I will continue my fight and will ask my Congressman to look in to the potential Tricare abuse in your office.

I highly recommend anyone in need of dermatology services to go to this practice. My first appointment was with Dr. Anderson, and since then I have seen Melinda, the nurse-practitioner. Both have excellent poise and bedside manner, a vast knowledge of their practice area and general healthcare, and their approach toward the issue youre facing is specific and prompt. The office is inviting and always extremely tidy and the staff is professional and friendly. My appointment times are always kept and I am never in the exam room long before Im greeted by Melinda, so they are very efficient but not rushed. Melinda has been a gift in resolving acne that came on in my late 20s. As Ive had other unrelated medical items come up, she always discusses the interactions that my medication could have and is very thorough when explaining benefits and risks. Ive never sought cosmetic services at this practice, but if I am in search of them, I will definitely come here for it. I have read the other reviews mentioning billing issues, but Ive never had a single problem. They verified my insurance before my appointment so there were no "gotchas," and when I needed to update my insurance, they validated the new coverage immediately. I dont think its unreasonable to sign an acceptance of missed appointments policy, and more or less every medical office requires patience to sign their billing procedures policy. They always submit the claims correctly (a luxury.. Ive had other claims be submitted incorrectly and its a nightmare to resolve.) The check-out desk is extremely kind and welcoming, including collecting any payments due and scheduling next visits. It really doesnt get better than this office.

As a new resident of Colorado Springs, I contacted Colorado Dermatology Institute several weeks ago for a new patient appointment. I was thankful I was able to get in to see Dr. Anderson within the week and was extremely pleased from the moment I walked through the door. Their customer service is what I strive to achieve in my business and it continued when I met Dr. Anderson. After talking with me and recommending a treatment plan, he gave me his cell phone number and asked if I would text him with any concerns or with good news. I have never had a doctor offer me a personal cell phone number so I was admittedly a little skeptical. In my mind I concluded it would be an answering service or an assistant would send a reply. One week after my appointment, I sent a text to Dr. Anderson one evening with an update on my progress and within 3 minutes my phone rang and to my surprise, he was on the other end of the call. We chatted for several minutes, my wife now in disbelief and soon to schedule an appointment of her own. Now if I can just find an Internist with the same philosophy of treating patients with the utmost care and concern, my mission will be complete. Thanks to everyone at Colorado Dermatology Institute. You made a believer in me.

As an optometrist, I realize now important it is to do your research prior to seeing a provider who will be caring for your family. I have personally gone so far as to fly out of state for a recent surgery because that was where the best surgeon was for my issue. So when my son was facing a serious acne problem, it mattered a great deal which doctor we chose to patronize. After a number of inquiries, Dr. Andersons name kept coming up. My wife interviewed him along with my son. Additionally, Dr. Anderson allowed me to come on a second visit to address some of my concerns about accutane. By the time we were finished, it was obvious that he took my sons health very seriously. Because of the risks of the drug, he sees my son monthly, and carefully questions him as well as reviewing the lab work. We are VERY pleased as a family with Dr. Reagan, as well has his staff. I am personally looking forward to referring my patients with dermatological conditions to Dr. Reagan. Colorado Springs is fortunate to have Dr. Anderson practicing here. You will not regret visiting his office.

Dr. “Reagan” Anderson, Just wanted to let you know I am very glad Dr. Fraley referred me to your practice. From my first visit I was extremely impressed with the complete appointment. From the friendly greeting in the waiting room, the exam by your P.A., the exam by yourself, the explaining of what needed to be done. When I was assisted out I commented to the receptionist and nurse how very friendly, courteous, informative and how comfortable everyone made me feel. They gave me the welcoming packet on the way out. I read it when I got home. I definitely already had the “WOW” factor before I even read it. And each of the four surgeries I returned for I was equally impressed, comfortable and confident. I will definitely refer everyone to the Colorado Dermatology Clinic. In fact, I already have ! Respectfully, John E. “Jack” Swiech
