My husband and I have been going here for the past 12 years - when they used to be in the Mission Trace shopping center. Weve always found their staff professional, and building clean and comfortable. (Their "new" building is very nice.) Back in Mission Trace, I did have a dentist that was new to them. He was kind of arrogant, and I didnt like the advice he gave me on an old molar filling. X-rays revealed the old filling was splitting. But instead of recommending a proactive re-fill or root canal, he said I could wait. I wasnt sure that was a great idea...and when it broke on something that wasnt even hard, I knew I should have insisted on proactive treatment. I asked to be switched to a different dentist. I now have Dr. Choi and am happy with his manner and advice When the molar broke, I had to get an implant. Dr. Acevedo performed that procedure. He is AWESOME. Love his manner. He explains exactly what hes going to do and why. I remember the last appointment was particularly late in the day, but he took his time to do a quality job so the new tooth fit well. While I like some hygienists more than others personality and "mouth feel" wise, Ive learned its better to get whomever they schedule me for on that day. For a while I kept requesting the same hygienist because she worked very gently, but the next different hygienist I got - she seemed much more thorough (e.g. more scraping!) - and gave me more in-depth feedback on the state of my mouth. It wasnt positive feedback, but I appreciated the truth. They are usually able to stay pretty close on schedule. The front desk is always friendly and efficient. With my insurance, I hardly ever have to pay anything or deal with any paperwork. For a while we had different insurance and couldnt use Sedona, and my husband and I were miserable with the other places we tried. Paperwork nightmares exacerbated by a clueless front desk, hygienists who had conversations with each other over your head, impersonal, etc. Or another new place that was all high tech - but the front desk kept trying to charge me for things they werent supposed to. When we went back to my husbands insurance, we were SO glad we could go back to Sedona. I highly recommend them. Try different dentists until you get one you like, and I recommend not scheduling with the same hygienist all the time so you get different perspectives and feedback on your oral health.

After going here for a decade the service continued to get worse over the last 3 years. I would wait at least a half hour after my appointment time to get in. Everyone else that was there and those that came in after me were all called back before me in the last 2 years. I tolerated it because I liked Suzie. The last time, after waiting a half hour, she rushed me through to catch up for the day. Dr. Choi doesnt even look at you when he comes in. He simply looks at your record, puts the chair back and checks your teeth. It definitely makes you feel like another number now and Im moving on for more personalized service.

I am so grateful for Nicole, Dr. Sakkaris and the staff at Sedona Dental for looking into every solution they could think of to help me get my smile back. Thank you all!
