Our two dogs were always stressed when they saw their vet, until we started going to The Center for Animal Wellness! The staff is incredibly knowledge and so caring. We figured our male dog (hes older, 12 yrs of age) had a bad tooth because he stopped carrying his favorite toy in his mouth. So, I took him in for a check up and they found that he developed a fractured jaw from an infected tooth... Dr. Courtney did his surgery and called me with updates. She was phenomenal! He is now back to carrying his favorite toy around the house. Our female dog (shes the same age... they were litter mates) developed diabetes last December and Dr. Andy has done a few glucose curves on her. Hes also excellent! He also explains things very well and he is so genuine. We now live about 35 minutes away from this clinic, but I will continue making the drive because I love ALL of the staff, from the receptionists, to the vet techs (or are they vet nurses?), to the doctors. And, most importantly, our dogs love them, too! (&they are very picky on who they like and dislike!). I cannot say enough wonderful things about The Center for Animal Wellness!

My brothers two dogs and our mom s Shitzu had been going to The Center for Animal Wellness since I first moved here about five years ago to help take care of our mother. A month later my brother landed a great job in Chicago. Within the next month, his little and aging Yorker died while in my care. This would be the beginning of a long term experience with Dr. Andy and the wonderful staff there. He helped us care for my moms aging dog and the terrible disease that Shitzu s are prone to getting. Through his patient and kind practice, he gave us a few more years. He was there for us when that dreaded moment comes and he stayed with us till the very end. Youd have thought that he didnt have other patients. Ive never had to wait long but I will know that if your doctor is long, its because they are taking "good" care of our beloved furry friends who may need their immediate attention. I am so grateful for Dr. Andy and everyone at The Center for Animal Wellness on so many levels. You will appreciate the time, attention and nurturing way they love our furry family members.

I have taken my fur baby Loki here since we adopted him. We got our first visit free as a thank you for rescuing instead of shopping which was awesome. Since then we have been in more times than I can tell you - our Loki is a sock aficionado and has allergies that manifest as hot spots in a number of places, among other things - and they have been amazing every time. They know exactly who we are even when we call, and always get excited to see Loki when we come in. I also have never felt like they did anything just to charge us some extra fees - they dont care if we bring him in or not so long as were doing what is going to make him happy and healthy. Additionally, they recommended our current Pet Insurance provider and have always been good about submitting our claims in a timely fashion to make sure we get our refunds fast (if you dont have pet insurance and have a puppy, I HIGHLY suggest you sign up, it has paid for itself and then some!). I will never use another vet in Denver if I can avoid it and would unequivocally recommend this practice to anyone.

I think the staff here are great for the most part. Ive taken my puppy here to get his last 2 rounds of vaccinations. During our second visit I let them know that he had had some diarrhea and a low appetite. They performed a blood test which showed that he had a low cell count. The vet suspected parvo but I was told they couldnt test him because they were out of the necessary equipment. My puppy wasnt vomiting nor did he have a low energy level which are other signs of parvo. Upon the recommendation from the vet I took him to the ER where they performed another blood test, which showed normal cell counts, and a parvo test which came up negative. After rescheduling the vaccinations again with this vet I was told that they actually did have the parvo tests during my initial visit. They credited me $35 towards the vaccinations which was nice but that small error ended up costing me around $500. This may be a reflection of the healthcare system in general but I felt that I got scammed. Still debating if Ill return here or not.

I have taken all my dogs over the past 9 years to The Center for Animal Wellness, even after a vet office opened up less than half a block from me. Why? Because I have never in all my years as an animal rescuer found a more caring, knowledgeable, flat out wonderful vet than Dr. Andy at TCAW!!! He has stood right with me as I have had to put down my doggies when they got too old and sick. I have never experienced such compassion for both me and my precious pet. My dogs love Dr. Andy almost as much as I do. I mean, what other vet sits down on the floor with you and first asks how you, the human are doing. then we get to the dogs. He explains absolutely everything, never, ever pressures me into a medicine or procedure, and always works with me to come up with the best compromise if necessary . Yep, theres a little traffic to deal with to get there, but Ive never found it a hassle. .... and is far outweighed by the expert care and excellent doctoring and personal touch you get.

We brought our dog in after we took him to Petco for his routine nail trim. Our last visit at Petco, something happened and our dog wouldnt let us touch his paw anymore. We saw Dr. Courtney and her staff and they were absolutely AMAZING! We explained what happened at Petco and that we were unable to touch his paws since. Dr. Courtney spent 20 minutes talking about our dogs health and then her staff took our dog in the back, gave him a Kong full of peanut butter while they cut his nails and he did not care! They have changed his nail trim experience and he now loves going to get them done and I can touch his paws again. Dr Courtney has also been very helpful with addressing our dogs thunderstorm fears. If you need an amazing vet and office in the downtown area, I recommend this clinic. As a daughter of a veterinarian, it gives me piece of mind to know how amazing the service is here and that my dog is in such good hands!

The Center for Animal Wellness is absolutely incredible. Everyone is extremely friendly, post operations the veterinarians call multiple times to check up on the progress of the procedure and theyre reasonably priced. We take both of our dogs there for any issues or just for general checkups. Dr. Courtney and Dr. Karrh have done wonders for both pups and I always feel like theyre in good hands. Our American Bulldog / Rottweiler was told he needed ACL treatment and potentially surgery, after taking him to the Center for Animal Wellness, we tried some join and muscle pills and hes been great and active ever since, saving us thousands of dollars. Theyre not in it for the money, they truly care about the animals well being. I would recommend the Center to everyone!
