This office has taken a turn for the worst. We have been coming here for 3 years now for our dog, who has a heart condition requiring echocardiograms and medications. Our initial visits were fine and we had no significant complaints, but this has changed dramatically, I will now be taking my business elsewhere. To note, Dr. Bethany is wonderful, weve had a great experience with her. The "business manager" Ben, however, an entirely other story. Our dog is prescribed a very expensive medication for his congestive heart failure, to the tune of about $115 a month. We were able to find a cheaper way to purchase this online and tried to fill it online, Dr. Bethany called us and said that because online medications are of potential variable quality, she would price match the medication to the online price and made a note in the medical records. The price was significantly less about $55 a month. Weve been getting this same medication filled at Vetwerx for the past year now and today I go in to pick up my called in medication, when I proceeded to pricematch like I had done many times before, the man at the front desk, Ben, says, "no I cant match this, its below our cost". I then proceeded to tell him that the vet had made this specifically as a note in the chart and this had been done many times before. Not was there never an apology, but he essentially just kept repeating no and said that everyone else at the practice has been doing it wrong before and I was not going to get the price that was noted on his chart. Keep in mind my dog is running out of medication and Ive driven out of my way during a work day to pick up his medication per usual, only to be told that no they will not be making a $20-30 concession for any reason. Sorry to say that after coming here for years and spending thousands of dollars on veterinary care here I will be now taking my business elsewhere. I filled the medication at the higher price so my dog would not run out. The absolute cold, rude nature of my conversation with Ben today was alarming, with him having little regard for the health of my pet and with his seemingly sole concern for his bottom line. It is rather unfortunate as weve had only good experiences with Dr. Bethany to be completely ruined by this "business manager".

Ive taken a cat and a dog here and the results have been mixed. On the positive side, Ive liked all the vets Ive worked with and had an especially good experience with Allison Brown, whom I found to be very caring and knowledgeable. My negative experiences were that: A) I bought a dental Groupon that covered an exam and a portion of any recommended additional work. Well, the exam showed my senior dog probably didnt need enough work to justify the risk of putting him under, so I ended up paying about twice as much on the Groupon than I would have for the exam by itself. I guess it was on me for not taking that possibility into account before I bought the deal but I found the practice manager, Ben (whom I only dealt with through other staff) to be pretty unsympathetic about the whole thing. B) I recently had my dog put down at the clinic, and they did get me in on short notice which I appreciated. On the other hand, the "comfort room" where the deed was done was pretty filthy (Kleenex all around the trash can and lots of dust bunnies) plus they did a horrible job explaining the urn options and once again, Ben apparently told the staff, "Oh well, he got what he got." Overall I will probably continue going here because they have weekend hours, the docs and some of the staff are good, and every place has its drawbacks. Just wish they were a bit more committed to customer service at all levels of the business.

I am a wildlife rehabber and had urgent needs today with a raccoon that was heading down hill quickly. Bethany allowed me to bring the raccoon in and by the time I got in she was able to see us rather than a drop off and squeeze her in. Very important for the raccoon to have less stress as possible and since I can handle her it was good that I was around, yet, she is so sick she did not care really who handled her until it was time for the IV. Bethany knew without IV fluids she would not make it, so she set me up to bring her home to monitor, again a lower stress situation for this girl. Bethany stayed well beyond her required shift this day to help care for this girl. She was xrayed and got a few IVs in and she got some meds at the office and the rest came home with me with instructions. Without this immediate care and dedication, I am sure she would not of made it thru the night. Thanks for much for being there for me and the wildlife. Kudos to all the staff this day and to all that work at Vetwerks and care so much for what we do as Wildlife Rehabbers, without you we could not do this on our own. It will be a long night and hopefully we can pull her thru this illness. You are appreciated. Thanks so much, Sandra

Bought a Groupon for a teeth cleaning and nail trimming for my dog. There were multiple issues. In short, the receptionist didnt schedule and lost my initial appointment, didnt give me a follow up call with instructions the night before for the procedure (apparently I wasnt supposed to feed him), I was left in the exam room after the initial appointment for 15 minutes when the appointment was over and no one told me, and most important, they did not give my dog the care he needed during the visit and caused him a lot of pain and trauma. He was not ready to be picked up at the time they told me, and they had to take out his needles and bandages after the sedative and anesthesia had already worn off. Hearing him yelping and crying from the back, and hearing someone yelling at him to "stop" made me so angry. I feel so guilty and upset for allowing this all to happen and putting my buddy through that. I should have known better from the other reviews and the initial interaction with the receptionist to cancel and refund my groupon. I do not recommend taking your pet here.

This review is for 3 visits to Vetwerx, all for treating the same thing for my dog. My vet couldnt fit me in for a urine test for a UTI for my older golden retriever for over a week so I went on yelp and searched for vets open on the weekend. Vetwerx popped up and I was able to make a same day appointment for later that day. I Saw Dr. Bundy- he is GREAT!!! He sat on the floor with my dog and actually wanted to interact with her (my normal vet seems to have no real interest in my dog). He asked a ton of questions, they tested her pee and determined that it was a UTI. When it came back a week later we did some further testing and realized she had a Ecoli infection. Each time I call with a question they are courteous, friendly and are super helpful. Dr. Bundy has been very diligent in getting to the bottom of my dogs illness and I greatly appreciate that! They have not pushed unnecessary procedures and their fees are very reasonable. Their hours are great and the place is super clean. Ill be using them for all future visits for both my dogs.
