I called Alemeda Veterinary Clinic, at 7:30 in the morning. We were having a long night needless to say. Dr. Oberbroeckling answered the phone. Him self by the way. I told him my dog was real sick and she needed emergency surgery. He stated to me that he had lost power but what is your pets name. I told him . He then asked me what was going on. He told me I will see you soon. He got Ray into his office with major haste. He looked her over read her test scores deciphered them immediately. He performed the EMERGENCY pyrometra surgery as the test has indicated. He was straight forward with me with every thing. (Which I can tell you I really appreciate.) None the less he did the surgery and Ratio is going to be just fine. She came out of surgery with flying colors. I must say I have had Ratio before her eyes were even open. I did not give birth to her but I am her mother. I am so glad that we had a competent Doctor to turn to. Ray is the third generation Boxer that has been coming to this facility. I wont go any where else. Thank you Dr. Oberbroeckling. Thank you for saving Ratios life. I need her. My family and I thank you so very much. Shannon.

Dr. Howard, his partners, and their staff are quite simply phenomenal. Weve been taking our border collie, Otto, to Dr. Howard for years, and are constantly amazed with how easily he relates to our dog. Otto recently escaped from the backyard and wandered around downtown Denver for a few solid hours. We found him with a big gash on his head, soaking wet from the rain, and more than a little scared. The folks at Alameda Veterinary Clinic fit us in immediately, and gave him the attention he needed. Over the past few years, weve moved closer to downtown Denver, but still keep coming back due to their (dog) bed-side manner, their no-nonsense recommendations for our pups health (no sales pitches here - they tell you your options, but tell you straight up when a particular procedure isnt necessary)...and their obvious love of animals. Phenomenal people. Cant recommend them highly enough.

Finley is quite the nervous dog when hes in pain, and bringing him to a new place was adding to his anxiety, and mine! As soon as we were greeted I realized we could relax, Finley, however did not until Dr. Howard came out, sat down next to him, and gave him the kind of attention only an animal lover could. Finley immediately became comfortable enough to let Dr. Howard handle him from head to tail! This was our first visit and I had to leave Fin with them for the whole day. When I cam to pick him up, I couldt believe how comfortable he was with the entire staff, even Maui the resident cat. It really put me at ease seeing how well they treated him. I wasnt even thinking about bringing my other dog, Chicago to the vet, but I think he could use an exam, and this is the place Im going from now on!

My dog was 13 years old and I was currently at another vet. He needed to be seen on a Saturday but the vet I currently went to was not open Saturday. I called VCA Saturday morning and they were able to see me in a few hours. They were so very helpful and so nice. My dog only lasted a few months longer and when I had to make the hardest decision of my life, they understood and made it as easy as the process could be. They walked me through it step by step gave me options if I wanted to be in the room or not (also, what if i wanted his ashes or not). Everyone was so very respectful and sincere. I received a very nice card a week later after my loss. I will continue to take my animals to them as long as I am in the vicinity of this location!

My dog had been a patient for 2 over years. We had only gone in for yearly vaccines and check ups. But a month ago I call to see if I could get my dog in because he was sick and declining quickly. I called at 330 on a Friday, their office closes at 530. The receptionist told me they were no longer accepting patience for the day. Period. They wouldnt see us. To me a good veterinarian would fit in a long standing patient especially if they are sick. My dog ended up having pneumonia with a severely high fever on the verge of having a seizure. But thanks to Fox Hollow vet clinic who had never seen my dog got us in and treated with in the hour of my call. Alamida vet clinic has lost my respect and trust and will not be returning.

I have followed Dr. Kathy Wilks for some time now, but I couldnt be happier now that she is at Alameda Veterinary Clinic. The whole staff there is so great, they have helped me through so many pet emergencies, I cant even begin to count. And they are just as wonderful with the everyday mundane stuff!! This last year has been especially difficult with the loss of a beloved dog. Everyone in the office kept abreast of his condition, asked after him and supported us through some very tough decisions. Lots of clinics can go through the motions and say the right things, but at Alameda Clinic, they all truly cared and went through the pain with us. Those are the people we want to take care of our four legged family members!

Alameda Vet has been the most amazing provider of veterinary services Ive ever had in all my years of owning pets. Dr. Howard is the most caring, thoughtful, knowledgeable, and passionate vet Ive every had the pleasure of bringing my dogs to. When my Golden was dying, Dr. Howard and his staff stayed 2 hours after close on a Saturday to perform emergency surgery to save his life. We had to put him to sleep that night, and Dr. Howard never billed us for the surgery. I will be taking all my pets here until the day I die. In fact, Ive transitioned my mother, boyfriend, and a friend from their cookie-cutter corporate vets over to Alameda Vet. They are a truly amazing team of wonderfully caring individuals at Alameda Vet.

We have used them for many years now and love the kindness, professionalism and help given by Dr. Howard and the team is phenomenal. Dr. Howard saved our dog, Amados life a number of years ago and move recently when we were very tight on cash and I thought my cat was dying, Dr. Howard gave excellent advice over the phone that it was not a stroke (like I had thought) but something less serious. The over the phone diagnosis (honestly, much to the surprise of neighbors and friends who had seen the poor cat) was perfectly correct and two weeks later she was back to her usual self. We are VERY very grateful for all their help over these many years with our various animals.

Dr. Howard, Dr. Wilks and the staff are wonderful. Before I settled on Alameda I visited a couple of veterinary practices closer to my house, but wasnt happy with them. I have been using Alameda for more than six years for a varying collection of dogs ranging from a high of 4 to a low of 1. The docs are very hands-on, getting down on the floor to examine my big dogs (rather than trying to put them up on an exam table). They are honest, compassionate and understanding, and they truly listen to your concerns and questions. I have referred friends to this practice and will continue to do so.
