Ive been going to Dr. Fines office for two years now and have yet to see Dr. Fine himself. Every time I go to an appointment at the office I have a different Physicians Assistant. Ive had three PAs now because the other two quit. Ive heard horrible things about Dr. Fine from EVERY SINGLE PERSON I asked (I didnt hear one nice thing about him) that have personally seen him. I even had one of the PAs I saw that quit tell me how horrible he is. I was told (by an actual staff member) that he doesnt spend any time with his patients and dispenses medications without trying to diagnosis the problem. This last time I went to Dr. Fines office I had an awful experience. The first appointment went well. The PA was very kind and attentive. I felt complete trust in her that she knew what she was doing to treat me. She ordered a PFT (Pulmonary Function Test), blood work, x-rays and an MRI and referred me to a neurologist. I was told that I would receive a call to schedule the x-rays and MRI. I did the bloodwork that day. They told me they would fax over the referral to the neurologist and that the neurologist would call me to schedule an appointment. A few days later I called the neurologist to ask why I hadnt received a call yet and was told they never received the referral. I called Dr. Fines office again and was told it hadnt been sent and they would resend it. When I came in for my appointment the following week for the PFT I waited in the waiting room for 45 minutes before I was finally called into the back. I was told by the nurse that they made a mistake and were cancelling my appointment because they werent supposed to schedule me for the PFT without the doctor present to read the results, so I rescheduled for the next week. When I came in for the PFT the second time I was told that one of the nurses had thrown away the mouthpiece to the machine a few days before my appointment so they couldnt do the test and I would have to reschedule again. Needless to say I was extremely frustrated by this time and asked to see the manager so I could complain. I refused to see the PA because I didnt want to get billed for the visit since the whole reason I came in was for the PFT. I then requested a copy of my bloodwork which they were more then happy to do. While I was waiting I was then told that the PA still wanted to see me to discuss the bloodwork. She diagnosed me with hypothyroidism and gave me a prescription. (a week or so later I was looking at my bloodwork results and saw that I was extremely vitamin D deficient which she didnt tell me about when I was in her office (which I thought was a little odd). I then asked why I hadnt received a call to schedule an appointment for the x-rays and MRI and was told that they forgot to tell me that the x-rays are done on a walk-in basis and I didnt need an appointment. After she left and about 10-15 min of waiting in the exam room for the manager I went to look for someone to ask. There wasnt anyone at the front desk and I found them all in the break room eating and talking. They had no idea I was still there. I went back to my room to wait. When the manager finally came in he immediately became very condescending. He was asking me where exactly I lived (the cross streets) and didnt believe me that it took almost a half hour to get to his office. He then asked me why I was even getting the PFT. I tried to explain that the doctor ordered it and why but felt like he didnt really want to hear what I had to say and realized that my complaint was landing on deaf ears. He told me he would call when the mouthpiece came in but after going all the way there twice now only to be told they cancelled my appointment both times Im hesitant to go back for the test. Ive wasted two days of my life already driving back and forth for nothing.

I am a nurse and have worked in a couple of different Dr.s offices. This is not a Dr. you want to see. I went to see Dr. Fine for a physical exam being new to Colorado and being refereed to him from a new friend. Dr. Fine walked into the room about 30 seconds after his nurse left and had asked me to undress. He did not knock and I was half undressed and he didnt apologize. I thought that was rude and poor beside manner. He then very quickly listened to my heart, and lungs and did a rectal exam. That was it. He did not even feel or look at my abdomen, neck or anywhere. He did say that he would have to keep an eye on my moles but he didnt look at them! He only saw my back from listening to my lungs. I have several on my abdomen. He said I was fine (from the rectal exam) and I asked him if he was going to test the stool because I didnt see him using a test and he told me that his glove would change colors if there were any blood in my stool. What??? I looked at the glove box after he left and they were nothing but regular gloves. He did not ask me any questions about my health. None. I asked him about a medication I was on and that was it. I did have other questions but he was out of there so fast I didnt get to ask them. He told me that he wanted to get a baseline EKG on me but his machine is broke but he was going to charge my insurance anyway so that they would cover it with the physical. I said, "will you call me when your machine is fixed?" and he just shrugged and said he would "work something out." He also charged me for an urinalysis which was never done and a qualitative guaiac test on the stool. He did order some blood tests but the one and only medication that I am on, which I talked to him about, can cause a high potassium levels but he did not include that test on his orders. This was the quickest and lamest exam I have ever had. This guy is just after your money. I called the office manager and was able to get the EKG charge and the urinalysis that wasnt done off of my bill but Dr. Fine refused to reverse the guaiac test that he never did. Now I have to wait another year to have a real annual exam unless I want to pay for it out of my pocket.

This was my second time to the practice and I literally had the worst experience I have ever had with a physician. You should be able to have the opportunity to provide your doctor with background so the situation can be properly assessed. I was not given an opportunity to explain what I have been through for the past three years, which has been hell. I was yelled at, degraded, and on top of it Andy Fine yelled down the hall regarding private health information, which is a MAJOR HIPAA violation, in front of other patients and nurses. Being that I worked for Centura Health I have very strong knowledge of the rules and regulations and see how people should be treated. I highly doubt he would want to be treated in a way even close to this. I was disrespected and walked out, because Andy Fine would not listen, we was set in his ways and didnt care what I had to say, and actually told me he didnt care. I am a personal trainer, nutritionist, and nationally qualified BodyBuilding competitor. I know my stuff and I am a responsible loving mother, with an incredible full time job and Andy didnt care to know any of that either. I take complaint calls on a regular basis and even the really mad clients have never treated me like this. I refuse to say Dr. Fine because he is far from any kind of real Dr. that cares about his patients. No interest in helping or learning my background. He didnt want to talk about any other issues and said so, didnt care what was discussed at my last visit with Paul. Paul is amazing, I have rescheduled an appointment with Paul to try and get the proper care. I would prefer not support Fines practice, but Paul is a great doctor, person, and cares. To be great you must have good bed side manner as well as the medical knowledge to back it. Never have I experienced anything so horrible, hurtful, and degrading. It was discriminatory and HIPAA laws were violated. If you go there, I highly recommend Paul, but do not waste your time or money with Fine. I am a strong woman and to say I was brought to tears is an understatement.
