I took my 5 month old pup in a month or so after we rescued her. She was spayed the day prior at another location and started throwing up the next day, I was trying to find a new vet close to where we lived. This one was the only one I could get her in at that day. When I took her in they just said to leave her and that they would do a few tests. They ended up doing X-rays, blood tests, and charged me 450$ for my dog simply throwing up. She also told me that from the X-ray it looked like her stomach was "more full than it should be" and would recommend doing surgery "just incase" she ate anything that "could" be creating a block. They said this would cost 800$. I promptly left and went to a new vet the next day, turns out she just had an upset stomach due to intestinal parasites and needed a dewormer. I was very upset with this experience and felt like they were trying to upcharge me the entire time I was there. Would not recommend.

HORRIBLE VET. Took our cat there to get declawed and my girlfriend got a call later in the day to pick him up. She arrived and was told he woke up before they were done with the procedure and she had to get him out of the cage he was in. Note she was 7 months pregnant at the time. When she took him out of the cage his paws were covered in blood, he was shaking, and scared. The desk lady said he was a "bad cat" and that he tried biting the vet when he woke up during the procedure. They didnt offer her any follow up advice, just gave her a bag of medicine and sent her out the door. Dont make the same mistake we did, please take your pet to any place but here.

We began using Ken Caryl Veterinary Hospital when it was owned and operated by Dr. Kitajima. He was fantastic. On our first visit under the new ownership, I made an appointment for bordetella and distemper shots. My 17 year old son actually took the dog in for the shots. According the the clinic, they asked if he wanted the heartworm test and preventive medication, to which he agreed. My son indicated that they never asked and just did it. When I called to discuss the situation, they essentially said "too bad, your son agreed to it". I would not recommend this hospital to anyone. Very poor business practices and customer service.

We took our beloved Basset Hound to see Dr. Sheila Watkins for a nasal tumor. She and Jolene offered both empathy and options to us. As a team, we decided to try to manage Mojos pain and contain the infection until he was ready to say goodbye, instead of subjecting him to surgery and chemotherapy that he likely wouldnt survive. Dr. Sheila and her staff provided loving care for our pet and our family for almost another full year and were with us at the end, holding everyones hand. We would recommend Dr. Sheila and the staff at Ken Caryl Veterinary Hospital to anyone wanting expert, compassionate care for pets and their people.

Dr. Rice Watkins now runs the center. She is so patient and knowledgeable. I brought in my cat and she was so helpful. She will recommend the least invasive treatment route if the condition is not an immediate threat to the pets life. Prices are reasonable and the clinic partners with 24 hour clinic for emergencies. Even my sick little guy remained calm around her. She is great about follow up; when my kitty was in pain because of his bladder, she checked in the next morning and made sure his condition was improving. Great choice for pet care.

Dr. Rice Watkins is wonderful. She took time to explain everything and taught me why certain tests are done. I loved that she showed me an estimate and let me decide what I could do at that time. I didnt feel pressured into doing tests or preventative care. The fact my pet will see just 1 doctor all the time is great. I would recommend Ken Caryl Veterinary Hospital to all my friends.

Had a great first experience at this place. I took my dog in to do a heart worm test and it will suffice to say that he is a very large, very difficult patient. But Dr. Michelle and her assistant, Jolene, were tolerant and understanding through the process. The price was truly reasonable and despite a minor meltdown on the part of my dog, we were in and out within 30 minutes.

I was referred to Dr. Kitashima at Ken Caryl Vet. Hospital by a friend. The office is falling apart and the exam took place under bags of used IV fluid bags. It was hard to keep the doctor focused on my pets’ exam. I ended up going to another vet. Dr. Kitashima seems like a sweet man but also very scattered. I won’t go back.

Dr. Michelle showed concern for my dog over costs, and I trust her because of that. She seems to love what she does, is knowledgeable, finds answers, and is very friendly. Prices are affordable and she is willing to help you find less expensive solutions. Its a welcoming neighborhood practice. I definitely recommend it.

I love the vet and staff at Ken Caryl Veterinary. Dr. Stephanie and the staff always make time for me and my furry family members and they care about them as much as I do. They are also very mindful of my budget and never do unnecessary test or procedures just to hike up the bill. I would strongly recommend them.

All of the staff at this vet hospital are helpful and nice. They obviously put patient care and owner understanding first. They are a total pleasure to talk to and have no problem with using third party tools like 1800petmeds when you need something they dont have on-hand.
