Dont have your baby here. My wife and I planned our baby--did everything in the world we could to have the healthiest baby. He was born on due date, easy delivery, no problems, healthy baby. The pediatrician came 12 hours later to check baby--everything great with him. Then another 24 hours--everything great. At that point we wanted to leave because all the furniture in there is like stuff from a thrift store and very uncomfortable for my wife. A big recliner like my grandad had, an old dirty loveseat, a rollaway bed and the hospital bed which one of the nurses admitted were the oldest beds in the hospital and very uncomfortable. Nowhere could my wife get comfortable to breastfeed baby or sleep. So at about 40 hours we wanted to go home so my wife could get some sleep and sit in glider to feed baby. The hospital policy is 48 hours to be discharged. So next day our family was at home with us meeting our baby when CPS shows up. They said someone from hospital called because we left before 48 hours and they thought it was negligent. We had to have our sons pediatrician then be in contact with CPS telling them he was in excellent health. Our son was in excellent health and even at hospital he was great--better than a lot of babies. Required no extra monitoring and examined by on staff pediatrician only as routine when she did her rounds. So dont take the risk that someone might call cps on you for any crazy thing like leaving the hospital a few hours early. Also the recovery room and food were scummy. There are cleaner hospitals nearby in lonetree and swedish.

Ive been going to the Littleton Adventist Hospital ER for the past two years and overall, I am unhappy with the way they have treated me as a chronically ill person. They generally dismiss my worrisome symptoms, have the audacity of telling me that what Im dealing with are panic attacks when I KNOW thats not the case, and send me on my merry way home doing nothing but give me fluids. Its not like I enjoy going to the ER or anything! I go to the ER only when things are really bad or when its been recommended to me. When I do need to go, Id like to go somewhere that will actually listen to me and do something to help me. My illnesses are serious and I need them to be handled that way. This appalling sort of treatment of the chronically ill needs to change. We are not drug seekers and the root cause of our symptoms arent often mental. We are pretty familiar with our bodies. All we seek is to get relief and to know that our voices are being heard. On only one occasion did this ER take me seriously, which resulted in getting admitted for five days. The nurses and doctors in the pediatric wing who took care of me at the time were outstandingly compassionate, attentive, and helpful. They saved my life. For that, I am grateful. I hope that if I ever choose to go to the Littleton Adventist Hospital ER again, that they will not dismiss my symptoms or the information I give them about my illnesses. I need to feel like Im being heard and like Ive put my health in the right hands.

My son was in a motorcycle accident so we called Littleton and let them know we were on our way to the hospital. We arrived very quickly and there was a team waiting for us outside the ER. They rushed him and assessed him and gave him fantastic care. He had several broken ribs and other bones as well as a collapsed lung. He was attended by a wonderful staff of doctors and nurses. He had X-rays and a CT scan right away and was cleaned up and prepped for a chest tube for the collapsed lung. He spent the night in the hospital a couple of nights and went home on the third day. He had such great care around the clock, was checked on often for pain management and general care. I was allowed to stay in the room overnight and was treated with the utmost care and comfort also. After we left the hospital we had a question about the cleaning of one of the wounds and Dr. Kim called back personally. I am very impressed with Littleton Adventist hospital and all the staff. If ever needed I plan on going to Littleton for all my medical needs and care. Bob Wagner Centennial Colorado

NOTE TO MS LAUREN WHO TRIED TO REPLY WITH LITTLETONS STANDARD "EXCUSE" TO A SUB STANDARD OF CARE EXPERIENCE .(.see mine below): "CALL OUR PATIENT REP" SHE MEANS CHRISTINE GLENN.. FORGET HER.....MS GLENN is USELESS AND HAS BEEN REPORTED AS NON CARING BY MANY PATIENTS over the past year. MS GLENN takes a report and "TOSSES II" even the CEO; BRENT SPENTZ ignores complaints re: Ms Glenns lack of empathy. MY STORY: I warn you NEVER GO TO THIS ER ...8 hour NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE ON 8/8/16.... left for hours to suffer in extreme abdominal pain ....I AM A DISABLED SENIOR and was ROUGHED UP BY RN BEN (on duty 7pm to 7am) when reported, he laughed at me; nursing superviser refused to report or ask RN BEN to leave. He harassed me for hours and even slipped a comment card into my personal property. The ER physician dismissed my extreme pain,; not even doing an xray and sent me home in an ambulance in extreme pain! How disgraceful. A SENIOR ABUSE VICTOMS group has encouraged me to pursue criminal battery charges against NURSE BEN" which i have!

The staff at this hospital need to learn how to listen to patients and their families. When given input about a patients needs it is completely ignored and they do the opposite of what they have been asked to do. My experience here with my elderly father who suffers from severe chronic pain has been extremely poor. During repositioning, they failed repeatedly to listen to the best way to move him without causing extreme pain. My father was literally screaming and crying at the top of his lungs because the nurses hurt him so badly and couldnt care less. I have had to stay in my fathers room 24/7 to ensure that they dont hurt him or cause further injury because of their negligence. This hospital needs to put the CARE back into healthcare and the staff needs to talk less and listen more, really LISTEN to what theyre being told about a patients care needs. If I could give them a 0 rating I would! If you care about your loved ones, take them to another hospital that actually knows what theyre doing.

They were quick in getting me back, however, being a nurse myself (they were unaware) many things were not done well from a clinical and customer service standpoint. The main issue that I had was three fold- the first, was that I was told not only by the PA but also an MD that one of my results was fine but after reviewing my them when I got home it was clear that they were not "fine". The second, it took them almost 36 hours after they received the results for them to call me letting me know that I needed to be placed on antibiotics. And third, there were other significant findings found on testing, unrelated to the admitting issue, that I was never notified about by the staff nor was any recommendation for follow up given. Again without having medical knowledge I would not have know the significance or urgency for further follow up. This makes me nervous to think if I had been a layperson in the field what my future outcome might have been if this was left without follow up.
