STAY AWAY go to URGENT Care unless you are dying. I am sad to write this review because I had such a positive experience each time I have been to Skyridge. I consider myself a good customer. I drive past Littleton Hosp to go to Skyridge however I wont again. I went to the ER with a descended stomach after stomach surgery and I was concerned about the wait which they assured me would be an hour. After 3 hours and a lot of screaming a doctor finally came in and said your xray is normal you can go home. I dont know why they think its ok to have 3 docs come out in the waiting room and evaluate me and none of them had a laptop. Each started from square one and I never saw them again. It was a nightmare. I will be very upset if they send me a bill I received zero help zero diagnosis and frankly I am shocked at their lack of compassion. Check ER wait times b4 coming here I SUGGEST trying another ER that actually will diagnosis you. They cared enough to call me today after seeing this review. I appreciate that they cared enough to call me and hear my story however no one ever followed up on the phone as they said they would. UPDATE 5-2-16 I received a letter from Sky Ridge Patient Advocate Tammy Garcia today. She said in her letter that after further review I was given appropriate care. I am really sad that they feel this way. I went to see a Surgeon and he looked at my xrays and he stated that I needed medication (pretty standard medication) to fix my issue. I did get that medication but only the next morning from my doctor and by than I had damaged my surgery repair. Its a shame I had to suffer all night long w/ this issue. My doctor stated that my xrays were NOT normal as the ER physcian had seen in fact he said they were quite concerning thus the need for medication. IF an ER Dept Dr cant diagnose and treat severe stomach bloating (very common after laproscopic surgery) than frankly I wont trust this ER Dept with anyone in my family. I guess next time I will have to try another ER Dept as I wont ever go to Skyridge again. Which is a shame had they apologized, promised not to charge me whatever $ my ins wont cover and taken responsibility for not Diagnosing me at all and Doing nothing. All they wanted to do was give me pain meds which I refused. Hello pain meds make bloating and constipation way worse. NO diagnosis No Treatment Nothing just 3 hours of hell and torture atleast I got xrays. I was able to text my doc pictures of the xrays next day and get a prescription. One pill and 2 hours later the problem was resolved. I recommend trying Other ERs such as Swedish or Parker or even consider an urgent care clinic. This nightmare evening from Hell cost my insurance company $3277 and I was charged $819.34 oh and the actual bill total $9027.50 Still NO Resolution Sky Ridge is the WORST Hospital in the Denver AREA

TL;DR: Had a much better care experience than the urgent care centre, but food service is iffy on consistency. Went into the ER this past Monday evening with a case of worsening cellulitis, and didnt have to wait to be checked in (though it was slightly annoying to "walk" to with crutches from the emergency parking spaces). Waiting to get into a room wasnt long either, but the team that cared for me were friendly, even though it was evident they were fairly busy. Once I got to a normal room (6th floor), the nurse teams on shift were friendly and quick to respond (there were a couple instances that they werent, but I do understand things can get hectic from time to time, so I shant count those instances against them). Was very happy to receive better treatment for the cellulitis than the urgent care that sent me as the swelling was somewhat close to gone when I was discharged (almost my entire right leg was a balloon when I arrived). The thing that brought my experience down was the food service. My first order was for breakfast, which arrived without any issues, but my second order was missing the vegetable sides that I ordered (I didnt raise an issue with it then since I wasnt worried about it); that order also seemed to have very little hummus in my "build your own sandwich" as well as short the ranch dressing for my celery and carrots appetiser (Im not fond of ranch, so it didnt bother me much). My last order was for breakfast again and was short one of the two bananas that I ordered, which I brought to the servers attention, but never heard from again after they said that theyd bring it to someones attention (I was discharged about three hours after that, which should have been plenty of time to run another banana to the room). I do normally eat light, so the shortages werent a huge impact on my diet, but it makes me concerned for other patients a bit. Even though my experience was positive, I wont be returning to Sky Ridge because its out of my insurances network (I probably will if my insurance plan changes). I hope that the food service improves for current and future patients, as it didnt seem to be managed well to me.

I gave birth at Sky Ridge last February (of 2016) but Im just getting around to this now! I just had the best experience at Sky Ridge so I had to write about it. First off, everyone was so kind and reassuring from the time I walked through the doors until we left with baby in arms. Upon getting there, I hung out in triage for a little awhile. Once I was transferred to my room and had my water broken, things progressed very quickly. My nurse, Tatum Williams, was unbelievably helpful. Alongside my husband, she helped me breath through every contraction. Listened to me going back and forth contemplating the epidural up until it was time to push! From my first push to the babys head coming out, it was 10 minutes! (Which was a surprise because it was my first baby!) She caught the baby, who wasnt breathing at the time, and did something to make her breath and live! It was a terrifying moment but she was so confident and precise. She helped me through every push and was so calm and peaceful the whole time. She was truly incredible and made my birthing experience so much more relaxed. So thank you, Tatum! Youre amazing! That first night was rough, breastfeeding was a challenge for me at first, but my nurse Pam helped me through it. Im pretty sure I called her every time my daughter was hungry and every time I had to use the restroom. I was that mom! Sorry Pam! But man, I was so thankful for her. She made that first night bearable. I remember crying in the bathroom, and she was so encouraging and uplifting. She didnt just pass away my tears to blame on hormones. She took the time to sit with me and told me it was going to be okay. She taught me to much in such a short amount of time and I am forever grateful. I wish I got her last name but thank you Pam in Postpartum care! Every nurse I had was outstanding but these two women, Tatum Williams and Pam stood out to me that 15 months later I am writing a review. Thank you to you both for the way you eased me into motherhood. And thank you wonderful nurses of Sky Ridge for selflessly serving! If you have the opportunity to give birth here, I highly recommend it!
