If I could give zero stars I would. This has to be the rudest, most careless, disrespectful hospital staff Ive ever seen. Everybody there acts like youre a burden when you come in. You as nurses "how are you"? And receive no response for example. I was also trying to visit a patient who was on psychiatric hold for a mental evaluation. They told me wait a while in the waiting room and I can visit my fiance. I sat for an hour and 11 mins waiting only waiting for them to come out and say the rudest tone Ive heard out of a nurse. "When you keep calling and asking about your friend youre not helping the flow of our work". My thought, "excuse me"? They made me wait that long only to tell me rudely and violated the involuntary legal patient rights for mental evaluations by not letting me see him. After she explained this she said in a ruder tone "okie dokie"? Very sarcastically. I went somewhere thats supposed to feel safe and comfortable and theh made me feel like I was a disgrace. She says "Im not waking up a psychiatric patient for you and ruining our flow of work". Although thats against the law and stated in a Colorado statute that if the patient requests to see me They may let me in when they feel its appropriate. What was so inopropriate that I couldnt see my own fiance? Homophobia? Id die before going to this hospital. Even when we called to make a complaint we left a number. No call back. Several hours of leading me on thinking Id get to see my loved one while they allowed other people to visit patients right and left right in front of me. I asked why theyre letting in them but not me. No response. I got a "up to the nurse" response. As I left crying my eyes out in the ER waiting room, I couldnt find words to describe how rude the staff is. If you have an emergency you think you can wait a little longer for, go to any hospital besides Castle Rock Adventist. We plan on taking legal action.

I am pregnant and one day in Jun this year, I was expereiencing excruciating pain in my abdominal. My husband dropped me off at CR Adventist ER since we have 2 boys he has to watch. The nurse looked at me and asked me questions. I told her I feel the pain may not be pregnancy related because I feel baby might be fine. But the pain is intolerable and I can barely breath. Then based on what I said, I guess she decided that I am not urgent and just let me wait. But the pain got so strong I felt I was passing out. I begged to be seen, I got a cold face telling me there are people ahead of me. Hopeless I called my husband and he drove me to Skyridge hospital instead. Dispite I told the EMT at the door of Skyridge the same info, Skyridge sent me to labor and delivery immediately regardless. Long story short, I ended up having a surgery to remove my appendix. After this experience, I felt so insecure and horrified and decided to switch dr and switch hospital. My original plan was to deliver at CR hospital. But they failed taking care of me no matter how close they are to my home and how happy and proud I was when the hospital was first built. After all, location and pretty facility doesnt offset the lack of experience and professionalism of the medical staff. Very sad.

My mom started out in the ER this past weekend, and ended up admitted to CRAH for galbladder surgery (they removed her galbladder). She is now home and doing GREAT!!! My family would Ike to thank Castle Rock Adventist hospital for their wonderful nurses, doctors and staff. EVERYONE, from the ER to post surgical recovery to inpatient care, were outstanding and caring. Dr. David Lundy is an awesome General Surgeon. He is patient, kind, detail-oriented and just so caring. If you end up in CR Adventist for general surgery, request him- hes FANTASTIC!!! Thank you to the amazing nursing staff: My moms night nursing team, Sam and Lindsay-they were so great! Her daytime nursing team, Joyce and Grace, so patient, caring and sweet! Her ER team, Eric, Brent and everyone else who helped out. Her surgical team, Nurse Martha was a sweetheart and Alicia in recovery was so sweet and caring. Her Anesthesiologist, Dr Sharp... Thank you all so much! My mom was so well cared for by everyone at Castle Rock Adventist. Its a great hospital! So glad we have it, right here in Castle Rock! Oh and dont forget to try Manna, their restaurant- it is amazing!!!! That restaurant is always so busy!! I give this hospital two huge thumbs up!!!

I went to this hospital to get imaging done recently. The people that I met, from reception to the imaging tech, were wonderful to work with. All except one - the day before my appointment, someone from the hospital called me and told me that I needed to pay hundreds of dollars BEFORE the procedure. I told them that I would pay them after I received an EOB from my insurance company because this was a pre-authorized procedure that was covered by my insurance. She then said that she would check to see if I could pay only half of the amount she had originally asked for. I told her that I would pay after I got an EOB from my carrier. She said she would check with her superior and then call me back. She never did. This is the last I heard from her; I went to the hospital, had the procedure done with no one asking me for payment up front. It turns out that the amount that they wanted me to pay up front was more than the insurance company had negotiated with them for the procedure. The hospital wanted me to pay them more up front than they agreed to charge my insurance company for this procedure! Greedy providers like this will get no more business from me.

Heres Castle Rock Adventist Hospital in a nutshell: Nighttime visit for wife cutting finger just enough that it needed some surgical glue to stop bleeding. Never admitted into the ER, there for no more than 45 minutes. The bill: $1,006.13. For some sterile super glue and 2 mintues of a doctors time and 10 minutes of a nurses time. Wife cleaned out her own finger. Scam artists! Avoid Castle Rock Adventist Hospital at all costs. UPDATE: Just received a new, separate bill from the physician - who saw my wife for 2 MINUTES — not an exaggeration on how little effort, time or examination this took. The bill? $600. What ER Doctor makes $18,000 an hour? Even considering all his billables and hospital overhead, this is a completely outrageous billing scam. They are way over billing this simple visit. In hindsight I should have gone and bought some surgical glue and hydrogen peroxide at Walgreens and fixed my wifes finger at home. If you are an attorney who specializes in health care claims, please contact me. I want to challenge this. Castle Rock Adventist Hospital is completely out of control.

Distal Fracture (Broken Arm) - $12,000 Unfortunately, we had to use emergency room services as our injury occurred on a Sunday afternoon. Im grateful for the medical care accessibility, though we did have to wait for a couple of hours for the Orthopedic Surgeon to arrive (on call). -0.5 Stars My son had a distal fracture (broken arm) which the medical staff was able to quickly identify (1 X-Ray), complete the reduction, and splint. This was not a break that required surgery, pins, or other complex procedures. The hospital bills may still be trickling in, Im honestly not sure if we can continue to expect additional charges. The total bill is $12,435.37, which seems high for a broken arm. - 2.0 stars The X-Ray technician wanted to take X-Rays of his elbow, which we politely refused. We did end up getting billed for that X-Ray, which the hospital stated there is no way to remove even though we refused the service. - 5 Stars Ultimately, we will never use Castle Rock Adventist again.
