My Mom [93] was having a problem with her hearing-aides pressing on her ear when she was wearing glasses. Knowing she had not had an eye exam is years I did a walk-in, with her, to Avon Eye Care. I was able to have my Mom seen right away and was very impressed from being greeted to a pre-exam with the Doctors assistant and then with the doctor. The Optician, Minh took great care to have my Mom fitted with glasses that would work well with her hearing-aides. They are efficient, patient friendly & thorough. If I lived closer I would change to Dr. McDermott as my Optometrist

Love Dr. McDermott and her team!! I had first seen Dr. McDermott at another office and was sad when she left. I stayed with the same office...BIG mistake! I tracked down Dr. McDermott immediately after (with NO help from her old office) and just saw her for my annual exam. Although the commute is close to an hour, as long as she will see me, Ill never see anyone else :-) !! Her staff is wonderful, quick and very efficient as well. Her newly remodeled office is light, airy and very comfortable. Keep up the great work team!! See you next year!

Great optometrist. I wish I still lived in Connecticut to see her. The whole staff is friendly and helpful. Ive gotten two great pairs of glasses, and prescription sunglasses -- all through the great selection of demo frames. She even successfully taught me to insert and remove contacts with ease, a task that seems to be a huge challenge for most people who dont get that kind of instruction.

The service and staff are exemplary and have earned my loyalty through great customer service and a pleasant environment. Their remodeled spot is clean and modern. Not only did they set me up with an appointment right away, the staff were extremely helpful and professional. Dr. McDermott is awesome- knowledgeable, friendly and down to earth!
