My little man may have stomatitis (hes allergic to his own teeth) and is on special medication to reduce the inflammation and pain. The medicine cannot be stopped abruptly. I needed a new prescription and had called for one, and was to pick it up on Friday. My work ran late and I ended up forgetting to get it, and panicked the following morning when I realized my mistake. It was a three day weekend, they would be closed all three days, and I did not have enough medicine to make it until Tuesday. I called the clinic to no avail, but I did find their email on fb and sent them a message explaining what had happened and how important it was for me to get this medication. I thought if worse came to worse, I would take him to another vet and have them look at him and give me the same prescription. Lo and behold, ellington vet called me!!! They were so nice and left the prescription in a place where I could pick it up, and told me to just mail them a check on Tuesday or call them and put it on my card. THANK YOU Ellington Vet for all of the wonderful work you do!! I bring all of my pets here now. The staff is so wonderfully kind and helpful, and I love when they swoon over my kitties. They have gone above and beyond my expectations and truly show that they care about the animals in their care.

Normally all my pets see Dr. Brown and have seen Dr. Pritchard when Dr. wasnt available. Both Drs have always given my pets quality care. Dr. Brown is kind and gentle with my animals which help them relax a little when they go for their checkups or any other issues they may have. I feel she is knowledgeable with practically all of the pet issues I bring to her, and if she was unsure about something, she researched and got back to me with a plan on what we should do next. The rest of the staff are friendly, courteous, and extremely patient and helpful. It is a pleasure to go in there because everyone makes you feel welcome, and seem sincerely concern about the welfare of your pet. They send out great reminders of upcoming appointments, or time to make an appointment. They always offer to help you in or out or anything you need. And the follow up on your pet is wonderful. I have and will continue to recommend ECAC to everyone I know with a pet.

Meredith Morganson

Simply the best! My family has been taking our beloved dogs and cats to Dr. Prichard for years. It is easy to see that he loves what he does and he loves the animals that are under his care. He never makes you feel rushed and he will spend as much time as needed to answer any and all questions. His bedside manner with animals is incredible. It is a nerve-wracking experience for most animals, but Dr. Prichard talks to them throughout the whole appointment, keeping them calm. When my family had to put our beloved 14 year old shepherd down, he came to our home to do it, so she would be at home, surrounded by the family who had loved her for so many years. It was something that he went out of his way for and I will always be grateful for that. I would never take my pets elsewhere.

Dottie Konarski

I have been taking my cats to ECAC since Dr. Fournier closed her practice in Somers many, many years ago. They have been the very best at everything they do from the fantastic Cristal and Kim to the assistants as well as the vets. We had to have two 16+ year old cats euthanized and the whole staff couldnt have been more tender and compassionate. More recently, when my Siamese was really upset about being there, Dr. Laston got down on the floor and did the exam with Koko hiding under the chair! Service above and beyond the call of duty to be sure. I only hope Koko realized that she wouldnt get that treatment at just any vets. I always recommend ECAC if I know someone is looking for a vet. They are the epitome of kindness, professionalism and neatness! Dottie Konarski

We love it here, our dog is a rescue and is scared but our vet worked with her and was super patient and no judgement. Also I am paranoid and run to the vet all the time with sometimes imaginary problems. Our vet, Ruth Ann Valli, was very honest with me about the tests/treatments that were truly needed. She did not use my paranoia to sell more more services and products. My dog is never to warm to anyone she meets for the first time but she was very calm around Dr Valli because the doctor knew exactly who to handle my dogs temperament and seemed very confident and experienced. I highly recommend this place. I went there based on someone elses recommendation and I am forever thankful!

ECAC was recommended to us years ago after we had not so great experiences with 2 other local vet offices, and to this day we are so thankful for that recommendation. The office staff, vet techs and Doctors are knowledgeable, friendly and caring. They are easy to schedule appointments with and their hours are very convenient, they open early and close late! We have worked with them for both cat and dog issues and cannot say enough good things about the Clinic. Dr. Prichard, in particular, has been wonderful whether we are dealing with chronic issues, new animals, end of life issues, and everything in between. We truly love ECAC and wont take our pets elsewhere!

Joe Prichard and the whole crew at Ellington Center Animal Clinic are caring, dedicated professionals who truly make me and my pets feel welcome and cared for. Dr. Prichard has been my vet for over 16 years and has been there to greet my puppies, kittens and also the hardest parts of helping my aging pets through tough times. Throughout their lifespans, Dr. Prichard has always been gentle and loving with my pets - he has a willingness to listen to my worries and has helped with some very difficult decisions. I wholeheartedly recommend ECAC to anyone looking for a truly special Veterinary Hospital.

I have been bringing my dog here now for over 6 years. I used to see Dr Brown and have to admit I was a little sad to see her go. However yesterday was my first visit with Dr Laston and I was very pleased. She has a great demeanor about her which instantly allowed Gizmo to feel at ease. She was professional and funny and relatable and exactly what I would look for in a Doctor handling my baby. You can tell she genuinely cares about your pet, you, and what she does.the staff here is very knowledgable, friendly and experienced. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a place to take their babies

Always accommodating. We had a cat in distress. The front desk arranged for us to see Dr. Valle within an hour. Though our standing doctor is Dr. Lassen, Dr. Valle put us immediately at need and - taking our cat in hand - calmed him so that he could be thoroughly examined. Dr. Valle administered an injection in such a way as our cat didnt even flinch. He was very comfortable with her and does not have a history of doing well with strangers. We were very comfortable with the care Dr. Valle provided and grateful to the front desk for being so accommodating. Great care as always.
