Dont walk- RUN away from this place. Im not normally one to complain. But after moving further from my usual dentist, I decided to give Aspen a try as they were close to my new home. I called and asked to be scheduled for a cleaning . When I arrived on the day of the appointment, they informed me that their policy is not to do a cleaning first visit. First visit would be Xrays and exam and I could come back in 2 days for a cleaning. Slightly aggravating, but I complied. I was told by the doctor that it was urgent that I have my wisdom teeth removed and we should schedule it immediately. I told them that I could not afford that but they handed me an estimate when I walked out that included the tooth extraction plus a cleaning. The estimate was in a very confusing format and I could not make sense of it, but I figured that the astronomical figure at the bottom was due to the wisdom teeth, as cleanings were normally free with my insurance. When I returned 2 days later for what I thought was going tp be a cleaning, I was told that they were not going to be doing the cleaning today- but rather measuring for the special deep cleaning that I would need. I was confused and they handed me back to the office manager who explained to me that the estimate they had give me was also for a special deep cleaning. That I would need to come 3 times to do each section of my mouth, and each time would cost $700. So, I said, u want to charge me $2000 to clean my teeth? I cant afford that... so I asked if I coukd just do a regular cleaning meanwhile and they said NO and REFUSED. They had already given me a treatment plan and they could now do no less. First I broke into tears, and then I made an appointment with my old dentist and drove further to see him. He told me that I did NOT need that deep cleaning that would have cost $2000 at all! He said I needed nothing more than a regular cleaning! And while it would be nice to remove my wisdom teeth, it was in no way urgent! So literally, these people would have swindled me out of thousands of dollars! They were pressuring me too, so had I had the money, I might have listened to them! Stay far, far away!!!

My first experience was today 2/17/17 and let me tell you this place should be shut down. I had an 8 a.m. appointment right when they opened. They took me in to take x-rays and I shouldve walked out right away. The trash barrel was full and full of bloody items and things were on the floor and the girl just kicked it out of the way. Im definitely reporting them to Hazmat and the Health Department. Then they took me in a room where a dental hygienist picked at me teeth and told me I needed all this work done which I know I didnt because I just had an exam 6 months ago and all my teeth cleaned and fixed and I walked away from there with my teeth in perfect condition. I only came in today because I chipped a tooth and our new insurance isnt accepted at my previous dentist. The dentist then came in and he was rude and again tried telling me I needed all kinds of crazy work done. Stay away from this place!! I ended up walking out and will never return. Im filing a complaint against this office for being unsanitary and I am not paying this bill.

If an HMO could design a dental office, this would be the place. It feels like going to a condo pitch without the promise of a free vacation. I thought that I was making an appointment for a cleaning (and consultation afterwards), but there was no cleaning because you have to meet with the business manager before you can schedule one of those. And of course you need extra special multi-visit deep cleaning because your gums were marked as a [pick arbitrary number], that way they can have you back multiple times [and overcome the maximum per visit cost]. The people were friendly enough, but this is not a real dental office. Do yourself a favor and find a dentist that you can build a relationship with. That way, when they ADVISE you of the best course of action, you will be able to confidently TRUST their professional opinion and CHOOSE to adopt their recommendations. A place like Aspen is going to try to DICTATE your treatment, and they are going to favor their own interests over yours.

I have had an experience like no other at Aspen Dental in Glastonbury...the staff has been wonderful with my many dental issues, including root canals, teeth extractions, rescheduling appointments, and much more to come. Kristina and Bianca have helped me with my appointments and payment options. I have been to the office at least once every week starting at the end of March 2012 and have had wonderful experiences with Heather, Dr. Patrick, Dr. Nazeeh. I also have seen Dr. Tucker and Nicole 2 or 3 times in April, and they always have a smile on when they see me. Everyone knows me when I come to the office and they are all very nice and make me feel at home. I will miss them when my dental work is complete, but I know that they will always remember me when I see the office every 6 months for my cleaning with Jan. Thanks Aspen for a Great experience and I look forward to seeing everyone next week. Christina C

I have commented about them before and I will say this again. They are scammers and shouldnt be in business. This company must have been trained by trump as they promise many things but then go back on what was said. "Here is what we normally charge, here is the discounted rate for your insurance company, if there is a difference between what we charge and what the insurance company pays is nothing you should worry about." I spoke to someone in their office and I told her that no one told me my insurance company only covers certain things. I paid aspen dental plenty of money and I just got a collection call from someone. Aspen Dental, I changed my review of you one time after your staff made me wait for over 45 minutes (I was the first appt of the day) you offered me a free teeth cleaning. Now, I get a collection cal This illegal business behavior has to stop. I refuse to pay. Felicia Fountain

Highway robbery. They care more about your money than your healthcare. I (regrettably) had my wisdom teeth out here and Im convinced they dislocated my jaw and didnt tell me; that aside, of they recommend ANYTHING other than a routine cleaning covered 100% -copay by your insurance, get a second opinion. They told me I needed to have (not recommended but wouldnt even do a regular cleaning) a deep cleaning that was going to cost me $1200 out-of-pocket after an exam and x-rays. I went to a regular private practice dentist a month later who cleaned my teeth and told me there was nothing wrong with my dental health but said I should floss more often (who shouldnt?!) and just have regular 6 month cleanings; and also told me they have heard similar stories from Aspen at ALL of their locations. Dont go here, dont support corporatized healthcare in any field.
