I just wanted to take the time to thank everyone at Aspen Dental in the Norwalk, CT office. I had to make a last minute appointment due to a toothache that came out of nowhere. They got me in right away. This trip to the dentist was very different than all of the others for me as I am usually terrified and a nervous wreck going to the dentist. I was very comfortable right from the start, the office is clean and everyone is unbelievably friendly and pleasent . They took me in right away and ran a full series of ex-rays. I was then taken into the chair of horrors and greeted by a huge smile and a great sense of humor from the hygienist Marilyn. I was actually laughing from the moment I sat down in the chair. I received a full periodontal evaluation which I have never received in my prior experiences at the dentist office. I was then introduced to Dr. Deno who was just as cheerful as the rest of the folks there. He was professional and courteous and took extra care with me after I told him about my fear of dentists. No sooner after that I found myself laughing again with everyone in the room. After examination I learned that I also had a crown that needed to be replaced (I knew of this but was afraid of the cost so I put it on the back burner). We decided that the priority would be the crown so I wouldn’t have a bigger problem on my hands. I made an appointment to go back a few days later to remove the old crown and be fitted for a new one. Once again I was laughing in the chair with Dr. Deno and his assistant Marilyn. After the procedure I met with the Office Manager, Harrison who once again had me laughing on my way out the door. We discussed payment and it turns out I didn’t have to pay for the whole crown up front which saved me from even more anxiety! I go back in next week to have the new crown inserted and I don’t have an ounce of anxiety having to go back there! The office is professional, courteous and filled with really great people, they have a new patient in me!

I loved this place from the moment I walked in. The Staff is wonderful and so is my new dentist Dr. Kim. I have always have had such a fear of the dentist and I knew I needed a lot of work done. I live in Queens, NY and went to many dentist around my area before I found their website and decided to give them a try. I like the fact that the website had the prices so I already had an idea of what I would be paying before I went. I already knew what work I needed done and after receiving my free consultation which included X-rays, the dentist coming in and actually looking at my teeth and gums, us coming up with a plan that I was comfortable with, and then sitting down with Victoria to discuss payment since I dont have insurance everything went so smoothly. I am a person who suffers from severe anxiety, especially being in a dentist office, but when I came here I was actually very calm and had zero anxiety. I have started my dental work and can truly say that Im very happy with everything so far. I love how friendly everyone that works there is and they make me feel so comfortable. I have never had to wait long once I got there which is another big plus especially after driving about a hour and a half to get there but to me its worth it. I would recommend this dentist office to anyone who is looking for a really good place to go with affordable prices. Thank You Aspen Dental for letting me be able to smile again :-D

I would make it clear on the website that the prices shown do not reflect the prices given in the dental office. Also I would make sure any additional work needed on patients teeth is carefully thought out and inspected since I had two other dentists disagree with the work that was suggested by the dentist that saw me from Aspen. I almost felt like the site mislead me to believe that i would get quality work for a reasonable price and given that after my visit with Aspen Dental it seemed as though they wanted to get more work/money from me rather than genuinely caring about the health of my teeth/mouth. All I needed was a quote on a crown which i made clear in my initial phone call to aspen to set up an appointment and at the front desk when i arrived for it. I felt like there was a lot of unnecessary things that happened that didnt reflect why I initially chose to make an appointment. Even given that it was a no charge first visit, I felt like I was looked at as $$$ rather than a patient seeking out expert help. I dont think i will make any additional appointments and will most likely not recommend Aspen to friends or family as well.

The dental technician was very pleasant and I appreciated the free X-Rays. Hence the second star. Then I met the Doctor, he asked me how many times a week I flossed and when I was last at a dentist. I said once a week and about 15 months, he gave me a scolding look and said I was going to need double cleaning, a root canal and a crown. The total was $3,600! I looked at the quotation in disbelief and decided to see another dentist. The next dentist said I didnt need a root canal and just a little drilling and a crown. Total for him was $1,565! He asked me if I had seen another dentist and I said yeah, but I didnt like his bedside manner or prices, he said "which place" I murmured the words Aspen, and he said, enough said! I am glad I got a second opinion! The last thing I want to do is give some guy twice the money for basically looking at me like a liar who he had caught, and was planning on punishing with a bloated bill!

I dont want to give them even 1 star but I have to in order to post. I sent my son here because our regular dentist couldnt get him in before he went off my insurance and they said he had periodontal disease and needed 4 fillings. I told them just to clean his teeth and they said they couldnt because the would be committing fraud! Something about a regular cleaning would mean he had healthy teeth and gums. They wanted to charge $1356 for a scaling and root cleaning and $925 for the fillings! After calling my regular dentist, they were astounded and squeezed him in the next day. They didnt even charge me for x-rays (because the ones from Aspen were pretty much illegible), and he only needed ONE filling and regular cleaning! They also told me the line about fraud was BS. He had no periodontal disease. I read other reviews (unfortunately after his visit) that claimed the same had happened to others. Take this as a warning and STAY AWAY!

i just finished my treatment at this office and I was satisfied with all my work. The staff was great & had a wonderful experience. I went in for an full exam as they were in network with my insurance. I saw dr. Kim and Marilyn the hygienist. Everything looked great except for my gums. Which I got treated for with Marilyn she was very informative on my diagnosis as I had no idea I needed to be treated for my gums as I always went to other offices for a "cleaning" & assumed everything was okay. I felt the difference in my gums! I had pain around a molar and I thought I needed a filling or a root canal but all it was, was that my gums were infected and needed to be treated for it after that no pain or discomfort! I want to thank Marilyn for making my visit a comfortable one.
