I’ve been avoiding oral surgery for many years. After visiting my dentist, he strongly urged me to set up a consult with Dr. Bocciarelli to discuss my options for removing my wisdom teeth. So I forced myself to get the courage to contact Dr. Bocciarelli’s office and set up an appointment. The staff was very understanding and genuinely compassionate. They took the time to explain to me that this would be the consultation appointment first to just speak with Dr. Bocciarelli, review the x-rays, do the paperwork and discuss the treatment plan. There was nothing for me to be nervous about (easy for her to say of course). So the day of my consult came, which was much quicker than I anticipated (if it were up to me I could have waited years but instead she got me right in within the week). The entire staff was considerate, professional and courteous and since I was very apprehensive this was very important for me. I also did all the paper work online from their website which avoided time in the waiting room. I was called in within minutes of walking in the door (less time to think and worry). Dr. Bocciarelli came in smiling and joking and immediately put me at ease. He was very professional and straight to the point. He discussed the removal of my wisdom teeth and gave me the option of the sedation or just Novocain. We decided to go for the sedation because of my anticipation and the mere fact that I did not want to be awake with someone yanking out my teeth. After hearing such horrible stories from my family, friends and the so-called-wonderful internet, I almost canceled the night before my surgery but thanks to my charming husband who basically had to take me kicking and screaming-I kept my appointment. I had my surgery done about a month ago and I was completely knocked out and I didnt remember anything at all. I can say with full confidence that the anticipation was the worst part of it all. I was pretty sleepy for the rest of the day but other than that- very little pain (thanks to the pain medications I’m sure) and little swelling (thanks to the advice of the nurses to keep ice on my face and my head elevated). The best part was that Dr. Bocciarelli took the time to check on me later that night. That was above and beyond what I would have expected from a busy doctor. He took the time to ask how I was feeling and answered many questions both my husband and I had. I could not have asked for a better experience and I am so thankful it went as smoothly as it did. I have recommended all my family and friends and hope that this review helps everyone reading it to know that Dr. Bocciarelli and his staff should be your only choice when choosing an oral surgeon.

Was refereed to Dr. B. by my dentist for the extraction of an impacted wisdom tooth that was starting to hurt really bad. Surgery took less than 5 minutes, the longest part was me going into and out of the gas to relax me. I went back a week later for my check up which i had described my face being in pain and not sleeping well. Dr. B. knew without even looking I had dry-socket :-( He promised me he was going to do something that would take the pain away in 30 minutes. He wasnt kidding - as I was driving home I noticed the pain subsiding and then it was gone! I slept SO good that night. I had to go back two more times to check on the socket and was then told it was good to go! The staff there are just wonderful! They are all so very nice. Dr. B. himself is such a great guy! He really knows his stuff - just go take a look at his work history and teaching gigs - this man is great!

Had all 4 wisdom teeth removed and 2 were impacted. I opted to go to sleep for the procedure and as far as recovery goes I did not need any painkillers the night of and only 2 Excedrin the day after, i never even touched the prescription painkillers. Virtually pain free during all of 1-2 weeks of healing aside from being a little sore which was to be expected but more than tolerable, no worse than a common tooth ache. This speaks for itself on the quality of care you will receive from Dr.Bocciarelli and his staff, and if you are afraid youre gonna be in agony after the procedure you are gonna worry yourself to death like I did for no reason. For what its worth i am 23 years old.
