Not a complaint to be made. Just compliments. I am a first time patient. I needed to schedule a pre-op physical immediately and did not have my own primary care physician. I phoned the South Windsor office at 6:00 pm and they were able to see me the following morning. That initial phone call was my first contact with a receptionist who was patient, sweet, had a sense of humor and did her best to try to accommodate me. When I arrived for the early morning appointment I knew that something was slightly amiss but didnt find out until after my appointment that I had accidentally been booked with someone who not going to be in for the day. It was handled with such professionalism and finesse that I had no idea that it had occurred. I was greeted, cordially, respectfully and professionally. My psychiatric service dog-in-training was with me and they (everyone whom we came in contact with at the office) also were very respectful and accepting of her. I was taken into an office promptly by MARLENE, who couldnt have been any nicer and did her best to put me at ease. She performed the EKG and I felt as if she couldnt have given me any better treatment if I was her own mother. Next came LISA and (finishing training RN) NICOLE,who also warmly introduced themselves and explained what the pre-op physical would entail. Patience, attentiveness, thoroughness. I was given plenty of opportunity to expand upon answers and to ask any questions. I felt as if I mattered and, at that moment, I was the most important patient in their care. I not only have the pre-op paperwork completed and faxed over as necessary, I left with a prescription phoned in for a infection that I only suspected I might have, and they diligently confirmed. I am very very very selective when it comes to establishing a relationship with a medical office. I was raised in a quasi medical field and I have been an ophthalmic surgical scrub. That established, before I left the office, I had booked an appointment for a complete physical and decided I would give them a chance to become my Primary Care Physicians office. As an aside, following my exam, I mentioned to them how, after I had booked the initial pre-op phyisical appointment for the morning, I had found some REALLY NEGATIVE reviews online (besides Yelp). It was acknowledged and respected. I was also told that they were aware that they had had some problems, but that they not only had done their best to correct them, they were working towards making sure that there was 100% complete patient satisfaction. THATS the level of patient care that I felt I received. On the way out, I made sure to get the names of SHARON and GAIL at the front desk, who had been polite, helpful, professional and were two good women to create a pleasantness in a place that I didnt want to be in the first place. My thoughts are that they may have had some problems with this office in the past but I did not see any sign of that today. They are getting my full 5 stars.

I dont usually write reviews, but here is a long one. I hadnt come in for a doctors visit for a while and I had looked up the address and obviously saw these reviews in my google search and decided to read them which I hadnt paid much attention to before. Going in the other day I had this in the back of my mind. This location is close to me so I still decided to come in. As soon as I walked in a receptionist that called me over to the inside part of the reception area seemed like she had "attitude" written all over her face from the time I walked in. I calmly explained that I had called and the lady on the phone said I didnt need an appt to see someone and I could just walk in but I also needed to update my information. She updated my information but throughout that simple process she just seemed bothered. It made me uncomfortable. She then proceeded to sort of "shoo" me off and said I was all set as the phone rang and she answers it.. I decided to then go to the receptionist next to her because I still needed to see someone. This other receptionist was so calm and professional as if it was my first time coming in and she helped me right away but as she was assisting me the first receptionist interrupts with her disgusting attitude and says something to the affect of "I thought you were all set you didnt say you wanted to see someone" or something like that and while doing so is like shaking her head, rubbing her face like she is so frustrated. (Mind you I found it sort of funny that this upset her so much even though I was really upset- as I thought that was so offensive the way she was speaking to me) I had to interrupt her and say that it wasnt really a big deal and just ignored her the rest of the wait and she remained quiet. Even though I was annoyed and wanted to tell her a few things I stayed calm and wondered if the nicer receptionist always has to deal with that negativity. The rude receptionist really needs to check herself and find a new job if she cant handle it and clearly doesnt know how to communicate professionally. Its sad especially in that type of environment. Bad Days are understandable but something tells me she is just that type of person. I read other posts of staff being rude so I wouldnt be surprised. I will most likely find a new doctors office.

I have called three times and my pharmacy has tried to contact the office three times over a week ago as well for a refill on my RESCUE INHALER. Its been over a week, Ive talked to three people in the office not including the night on call doctor who said they would leave a message for the doctors office. I havent been to work in 2 days because I cant get a refill on my inhaler. Ive been getting the run around, no one will call me back. This is GROSS NEGLIGENCE on their part and I will be contacting the State Health Department to make a formal complaint. I may speak to my lawyer about this. I am infuriated, I am leaving this practice for another as soon as my insurance will allow for another physical. Also, I saw Weishdel, a doctor at the practice. I have a previous eating disorder. She pulled up my BMI on a large computer screen and told me I didnt look healthy and Im probably diabetic. I told her I used to have an eating disorder and she handed me a picture of a normal serving size. She made me hold it until I was in tears. My cholesterol and BP are fine. She gave me a test for diabetes and turns out Im fine. She was laughing with her friends while I was waiting for over an hour for the test results, panicking. Hands down worst experience Ive ever had at a doctors office. She was condescending and rude. The second doctor I saw there for breathing problems was almost as bad. Moriarty I believe was her name. She busted into my room, did not introduce herself, or wash her hands. She got on the computer immediately and pulled pictures if inhalers on Google and asked me which ones I took. I pointed two out I had taken in the past. She told me I was wrong and I couldnt possibly have been prescribed that. She did not examine me, she did not even look at me until I deeply breathed in for her to HEAR the crackling in my chest. She then took out a stethoscope and listened to my lungs. She prescribed me the damn inhaler finally. NOW I CANT GET A REFILL ON it, its been over a week. Terrible, inconsiderate doctors, horrible practice. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE. YOU WILL REGRET IT.
