The worst hospital ever. its all about money with them and not the patients satisfaction. I get a huge bill from them for giving me medication for a headache, one huge bill for emergency room, another huge one for emergency doctors. they sent my info to the wrong insurance company even after taking my card and making a copy of my insurance details! didnt stop there, when they sent info to wrong insurance and they were of course rejected, they never tried to contact me via phone; they sent the bill to collections;only found out when it showed up on my credit report. I called and asked for a freaking bill to be sent to my insurance company and they refused saying they cant give my insurance a bill because it was already in collections. ok, no problem, why not send bill to me then?.. nope..! we dragged for a month until they sent it to me. My insurance paid paid part, I paid part.. only for a month later, I saw an adjusted bill amount, again sent to collections and reflecting on my credit report without contacting me!! who the hell is so callous and unmindful of the effects of their actions on their clients?! plus where was this "adjusted bill" within the period of 2 months I was dragging with them to send my bill to the right insurance company??! Please avoid these guys, they are pure trouble, they dont give a damn about you!!

This is one of the worst Hospitals Ive ever witnessed. My father was here due to a mini stroke/ blood on the brain and they gave him a CT scan and then told him he had a tumor which they did not know it was a tumor which scared the hell out of him which made him call myself and my sister to tell us where all his will papers were and he thought he was going to die that night or shortly thereafter. One person told him that after they remove the tumor people have lived for another 15 years. Its unbelievable! Hes been here so far 5 days but havent done an MRI which they said they were going to do because now we dont know if its a tumor and we need a more vivid picture. Unbelievable! So here we sit with our thumbs you know where waiting.... Im going to write a negative review on every media site there is for making our family feel as if our father was gone no to die. Im also going to talk to a lawyer and see if theres any legal action I can take so another family doesnt have to go through this BS UPDATE: They finally gave my dad an MRI and released him. They just handed him the CD of the MRI and sent him on his way No dr came in and explained what they found or nothing. After telling him he had a tumor. WORST HOSPITAL EVER! Do no harm right???!!!

My husband came by ambulance to the trauma center and we werent impressed at all. The doctor who stitched by husband face stopped mid stitch and pulled his personal phone out and started texting with dirty bloody gloves. When he got moved to the ED observation area we told the nurse he had puked blood and she responded "what kind of blood" ugh I didnt know they had different kinds. They said they wanted to keep him to watch him overnight and I sat there for 12 hours before I left and they checked on him twice.. I watched the janitors clean the floor more then the nurses checked on him. He had a no straw diet and a soft food and they bought him Pork for dinner and drinks with a straw.. On day of discharge we watched a Surgical tech maybe laughing in the hall and she sat on the floor because she thought something was so funny and even the nurse asked if she was okay but never told her that its unprofessional. After my visit I concluded that this hospital cares more about the appearance of its facility then the patients themselves. Hes supppsed to go back to check up but we have decided to take our business to University of Maryland where they have REAL nurses and doctors

My local hospital sent me there for back surgery the end of august.. I was in the hospital till December and still did not have surgery. I had been in my Nanticoke many times and I had excellent care every time. They actually care about you so I was not prepared for the horrible care I got from the nursing staff from day one. I was unable to walk or control my functions so I needed a lot of care. Care I did not get. On a regular basis I was left to lay in my own waste for hous. It took many minutes just to get anyone to answer my call. Shortly after arriving I developed a bad sore not from laying in bed but from laying in waste. They gave me a blood infection from a pik line and almost gave me a heart attack trying to give me a blood infusion. I came home to a family member with no medical training and my sore was almost healed in a month and this person not only had to care for me but they had to cook and clean. I also had a team of doctors and I always got several different stories about my condition. I have months of recovery to go and have yet to get the back surgery I needed. DO NOT Go to this hospital for any thing?

Very disrespectful nurses in maternity triage. My friend was admitted into the hospital because her Obgyn sent her to go get checked out along with her unborn fetus. I go to the hospital to pick up her son and when I got there they were hooking up the monitors for the babys heart beat. Not even 5 mins of me being there with her, a whole other nurse comes in and tells her she doesnt know why she is there that they are discharging her. Mind you, her unborn fetus is weighing 2 months behind schedule (barely 3pounds) the fluids are low, and isnt moving or breathing... And she is 36weeks... But nothing is wrong with her when her Obgyn SENT HER OVER TO GET CHECKED OUT.?!! Worse experience ever. They are going to get hell from her, her fiancé, and her parents if her child ends up dying because the nurses cant obviously do their job right.

My overall experience at Christiana Hospital & Emergency Room was extremely positive. I entered the ER at 7:30 am; due to early arrival, I was immediately seen by caring & attentive staff. I was kept overnight for observation &, again, the nurses & doctors (with one doc exception) were outstanding. I was released following day with little fanfare/no problems. My one complaint is additional services were pushed - a physical therapist who arrived ten mins bf I was discharged to walk me around nursing station for a few mins (what did that cost?!), & a sweetly assertive nurse who insisted she give me her spiel (fancy brochure included) re "Signs of a Stroke" which she (with some embarrassment) admitted did not pertain to me (ca-ching! $).

The worst hospital Ive ever been to! The worst part, is that its the main hospital in the area. Im a mountain bike rider, and Im constantly injuring myself... The last time I went to Christiana, my shoulder was fractured in 2 places, and the didnt even do an X-Ray. :( The year before, I was T-Boned on my ZX 10, and brought to Christiana hospital. ...That time they did a complete screening, BAC and a full Cat-Scan, and I wasnt injured as bad. It was just over a year ago, and its still messed up and very painful. Wilmington hospital used to be much better, but it went bad about around 2012. St. Francis is the best hospital, that Ive been to, regardless of location. 1) St. Francis 2) Union 3) Wilmington 4) Christiana
