Fay and John Kennish
Dr. McIntosh is an extremely compassionate and knowledgeable professional. She delivered my first daughter who is now thirteen years old. She was the doctor on call at Christiana when I went into labor. I secretly wished she had been my OB from the start, the moment I met her. Ten years later my primary care called her personally as I was having a hard time finding a doctor who would take the time to understand my chronic back condition and take it seriously. I was elated when I realized that she was the same woman who handed me my first daughter. She did her homework; conferred with all of my doctors and came up with a labor and delivery plan that ensured a safe delivery and a healthy baby. We had our second daughter at Saint Francis. The staff there were phenomenal. I think back to the moments that lead up to my first and second child all of the time. Such warm and precious memories... I cherish them deeply. Victor is our rainbow baby. For those who are not familiar with the term its a baby born after a miscarriage, still birth or the loss of a newborn Victor was born after several miscarriages in a single year and we thank our doctor for being aware of my issues and knowing how to correct what was happening. We spent a decade being told we could not and would not have a child. Guess what?!? We have a very happy,healthy, active and sassy child. My suggestion, if youre not hearing what works for you change doctors and look for someone who is invested in your happiness as much as you are. She cried with me on the phone during our second miscarriage, she rejoiced when our levels kept going up. She called me personally through every point in our pregnancy with Victor.Dr. Mac changed our entire lives and Im forever grateful for her for reaching beyond what the norm was and will always give thanks and prayers for her for letting me hear my little guy call me mama.
