I wish I could give them 5 stars ... the Doc was excellent, the tech that ran the tests and scan was fast and efficient... there is always a salesy nature around the optomap but it shouldnt have to be that way... they say it like a sales pitch then thats an extra $39/$40 dollars would you like to do that? Maybe we could blame the insurance companies on this one bc insurance doesnt cover the optomap even though it seems like it would result in an objective and conclusive result. Anyway the important thing is that Dr. Shustock was helpful and descriptive through the exam, I felt that she provided superior customer service. The representative that processed my frame choice and coating choice was unnecessarily slow. I knew what I wanted, had the frames selected and wanted the top notch coatings and transitions. There was nothing to "upsell" me on but still she elected to waste my time by drawing charts and nervously slowly calculate each adjustment as if she had a vested interest in the total end price (do they get paid commission!!!???) because the rep SURE acted like it, if I didnt know better she had NEVER had someone spend over $500 on a pair of glasses before? But who cares just give the customer what they want, which as I said I had that selected in under 60 seconds and yet 60 minutes later before I was walking out!? I will go again, but I will avoid the rep she was kind ... just super slow. Update: I would like to add that the professionalism and quality of customer service is exceptional. They fully earned the five star rating I have changed this to.

This is the first time I have ever felt compelled to rate a business, but they really did take care of me. They are conveniently located near my place of work, just a couple blocks from the white house and the national mall, and are staffed with attentive, caring people. My glasses broke and I had no time to repair them before I left for work. My contacts were irritating my eyes, and one eye was bloodshot and hard to see out of when I came in. They replaced the missing screw in my glasses, tightened them and cleaned them all free of charge, and gave me a contact case and solution to store my contacts right on the spot. My glasses are made by Prodesign, out of Denmark and are very hard to find in stores in the area but lo and behold, they carry a great selection of stylish frames by them and many other makers, $100 cheaper than what I paid for them elsewhere! If you are looking for a business that truly cares about your eyes and the way you look, I would highly recommend that you check them out.

Dr. Julia Garr is excellent! She always takes time to discuss my concerns about my vision. Like most of us, I am on my computer all day, (and I craft a great deal during my off time). It seems my eyes are always tired. After discussing the layout of my work space, we decided Id invest in computer glasses where I can see the computer screen AND see the fine print on papers on my desk, all while sitting in one position without having to lean in or pick up the papers. I found Focus Eyecare on Google after having had a very unpleasant experience with the My Eye Dr. location in Silver Spring. When I arrived at the office, the staff was very friendly, Dr. Shustock was very professional and took the time to explain to me what had been going on with my eyes over the last year and the staff was very helpful in assisting me in picking out my frames. A special mention should go to Dawn Davis, who did an excellent job navigating my arcane and byzantine insurance (VBA). Highly recommended for anyone whod like to be treated as a human being and a patient.

Dr. Patricia Shustock and her capable, friendly and helpful staff provided me with superb optometric care. I had an excellent diagnostic evaluation of my eyes with a careful refraction done by Dr. Shustock and I was pleased to be able to select from a large variety of fashionable and practical frames. I brought a pair of sunglasses here as a last resort to have the lenses changed. They were scratched and the hardware was loose and other lens shops told me they couldn’t help. I came here and a woman named Sylvia ordered me new lenses, cut them by hand, and fixed the hinges all in two days. I’m so excited to wear my favorite sunglasses again! They may be a bit pricier than a generic eye place, but their precision and expertise is well worth every penny.

I have never had an eye exam at vision source but I always buy my prescription glasses there. The customer service is awesome! Everyone is very nice and helpful, especially Charmaine, shes a doll. I usually go at lunch and never have to wait long. The selection is much better than any big chain Ive been to, the best brands. My go-to glasses place!
