I loved the doctor I dealt with the first 3 times I visited this clinic. She was no pressure, gave you options and worked with your budget and what you could do at home. I should have stuck with her and scheduled only when she was the attending. Since then, when going to this clinic, I dont know if Im leaving with my pet or a used car. Each visit evokes vivid memories of Chiropractors from the 90s. Youd go in for neck pain and come out with 6 months of scheduled adjustments, 3X a week, a promise of more x-rays and a re-evaluation of your "severe" back issues, that unbeknownst to you...are the cause all of your health issues, you never knew you had until you walked in the door for that first visit. To add insult to injury, the techs come in and gather info, take that info and up sell you based on what you say. They close the deal by making you sign something acknowledging that you understand that at Minimum!..You will be charged "this" but the intent is for you to pay a lot more. Its as if the techs have a monetary goal they have to "find" in charges. I went in for our pups last booster, $75 and I needed his ears looked at.This is the first Vet Clinic in my 30 yrs of owning animals, where the vets are unable to just look inside the ear and state what it is, ie...ear mites, yeast, etc. They charged me $30 to swab and look at the ear content...aka...swab and throw in the trash can, (cha-ching! $30 up charge). The prescription cost me over $50, but had they been willing to give me a written prescription, I couldve purchased it online for $18 dollars. I told the tech I would get my own ear cleaner but the tech basically implied I would not be getting my prescription UNLESS I bought the "special" ear cleaner that the vet was Adamant that I have and cost over $30...that SAME ear cleaner is sold online without prescription for $9 dollars!! My affordable $75 rocketed up to $187 dollars! I pd $80 more than I should have. I asked the cost to neuter our 7.5 lb puppy and they quoted me $185 up to $400+ dollars. Hes being neutered around the corner at anther vet for $110 dollars...where my 5 animals will be going for services from now on as well. I like the old school vets, the ones with ethics and integrity, the ones in it because they love animals and what they do. If you have an emergency, this vet will do but if you have multiple animals and/or animals with health issues, that require regular visits, I would find a vet with a lower overhead.

I wanted to share my story about our family dog. On Sunday, I went to take her outside to use the bathroom and she took off, ran into the road and was hit and then ran over by a truck. My sister called Countryside immediately and Dr Schad and her helper Austin met us at the clinic to see what we can do about our dog. They stayed there for 5 hours making sure my dog was ok, doing x-rays and trying to comfort her the best way that they can. Her final diagnosis was she needed her leg amputated due to her femur bone being severely broken in numerous places. They stayed while I had multiple people come to try and apply for a CareCredit and never made me feel like I was inconveniencing them in any way. I was given a total on what it would cost to save my dog and I was crushed. I didnt have $1800 laying around. I was able to go home with my dog and we raised MOST of the money though social media. We were still pretty short, but they allowed us to continue with her recovery and they did the surgery!! I cant tell you how AMAZING this staff is here at this location! They made me feel so comfortable and never made me feel like I was an annoyance for all the questions and phone calls. Everyone was so helpful and so comforting. Our Sophia had her surgery and with the help of Angel fund and social media our balance is down a significant amount. Ambry the office manager was MORE than helpful with everything as well as he rest of the staff there. I will be forever grateful to Countryside for working with me and saving my beloved newly tri-pawed Sophia♥

Truck totaled, just kicked my way out of truck pulling my German Shepherd, Houston, with me. Houston is laying beside of me, an ugly gash in head and around right eye bleeding all over both of us. Didnt know anyone in that area and was looking for a motel when crash occurred. Prayed silently Lord help my companion of 8 years. After refusing EMT help for myself, a Lady Emergency Medical Technician said I know a vet. Dr. Michele Farrar responded to the call with bring him on we will be waiting. The EMTs mother in law arrived in just a few minutes with a quilt, we wrapped Houston in and within minutes we arrived at Countryside Animal Clinic. Dr. Farrar and assistant Lea Murray met us and began work on Houston almost immediately. Lea spent the night there after Houstons wounds were stitched and cared for him.{what an angel] Houston and I are back in North Carolina doing great, and we cant say enough how thankful we are for the help we received at the clinic and the manner it was given ..God Bless you Dr. Farrar and Lea......................Ben

We have been clients of Countryside Animal Clinic for over 29 years. They have been wonderful to me and I would not go anywhere else. Dr Dunn along with Dr Hooper and the other highly qualified vets have taken great care of my horses, dogs and cats. You never have to look for an emergency vet in the middle of a crisis as they are on call 24 hours a day 7 days a week and no matter what vet you might see they all have access to your animals chart so they know your history. I cant tell you how many emergency visits to my house they have made to treat an injured or colicy horse or how many late nights & weekends we have ended up there with sick dogs and cats (even a dog bit by a rattlesnake and survived). They have never let me down. The staff is professional, courteous, knowledgeable and incredibly kind. If you are new to the area or are looking to change vets you will not be disappointed with Dr Dunn and Countryside Animal Clinic.

This was my first visit to Countryside, this was an emergency visit. My old girl was dying and she needed to be put to sleep. Dr. Dunn was very caring and his vet tech. It was very early in the morning they werent open it was Sunday. They took good care of us. Although losing a long time friend, my dog was over 15 yrs old, almost reaching 16. They were very caring with her and with our feelings. Just received a beautiful sympathy card signed by the full staff of Drs. and Vet techs. None of them knew me but their out pouring love for me and my grief this just shows how much their staff cares. If this is the way the take care of a "non-patient" I can only imagine the great care they will give our beloved furry friends. I recommend this vet clinic. Give it a 5 stars.
