I have so many great things to say about the staff at Allied that I dont even know where to begin. From the moment you enter the office, youre greeted by an amazingly genuine happy receptionist who is expecting you & remembers your name. Everyone, including patients, are super patient with me as I tote my now 11 month old baby with me to every appointment. The fresh chocolate chip cookies, coffee & water in the reception area are a pleasant surprise. Dont pass by without trying a cookie. I got one at almost every visit. The staff will gladly make more if the tray is empty. If you have ANY questions, they are always happy to help you. Dr Melissa Harkness has been KEY to helping me rehab my pelvic floor & other postpartum issues as they came up. She makes you feel super comfortable at one of the most awkward times of your life. I tell everyone who has ever had a baby about Melissa & pelvic floor physical therapy. This subject needs to be talked about openly so women can learn about it & get help returning to normal life after experiencing ANY trauma or pain in that region. Cheers to pain free sex!!! Moving on, Dr Scott Gray has been KEY to rehabbing my knees & shoulder! At 11 months postpartum, my joints are still hyper mobile so Im prone to injury as I push myself through my workouts. As a Personal Trainer, I knew I needed help postpartum to work through my pain points & as they came up. Id rather seek treatment proactively than deal with worse pain, injury or potential surgery in the future. He was very understanding, especially from a sports medicine background. I enjoyed my sessions & learned a lot along the way to pass onto my own clients. At 1 month postpartum & post c-section, I twisted to much & pulled something in my stomach while reaching for the baby late one night. 10 months later & I was still uncomfortable during core exercises. I asked Dr Gray to take a look at my last session. Turns out, I had pulled an external oblique. The therapy was intense & a bit hard to breathe through but we are fairly certain its fixed in just ONE session!! Im sad to be discharged because I genuinely enjoy coming here regularly; however, its great to have worked through my pain & be on the other side. If you have questions about my treatments, feel free to reach out. Im happy to refer any & everyone to the talented team of physical therapy doctors & assistants at Allied!!

This is a review for Allied PT as a clinical rotation site. This was my first internship experience so I did not know what to expect and admit to feeling overwhelmed at first. However, from the very first day, the staff and my CI (Dr. Gray) gave me the information and tools necessary to have a successful clinical rotation regardless of whether it was your first or last. There was a very thorough introduction to the vision and ideals of Allied PT followed by detailed training on billing and documentation. The front office staff does an amazing job at facilitating the documentation process for students as well as giving you useful billing and coding information that you can take with you throughout your career. The front office staff was extremely knowledgeable and helpful when it came to documentation. The therapists came from various backgrounds and schools of thought which I thought was great because I was able to learn different approaches to therapy from each of the therapists in the clinic. Be prepared to learn not just from the PTs and PTAs, but also from the techs who are highly trained and knowledgeable in exercise training; I certainly learned a lot of exercise interventions from the PT techs. I also had a chance to participate in the weekly continuing edu presentations. As far as patient population, it is an ortho clinic so you will see lots of ortho related cases, but also be prepared to see plenty of neuro cases that challenge your creativity and treatment approach. Dr. Gray is a spine expert, so definitely take the time to absorb everything he has to teach about spine evals and treatment. Overall, it was a great clinical experience that provided me with tons of hands on patient experience and treatment as well as insight into the administrative and business aspect of PT. Be prepared to LEARN, WORK and become part of a family while at Allied.

What I first noticed about Allied Physical Therapy was the friendliness of the staff. I wanted to make sure they were in my insurances network and the receptionist was very kind and assured me that they were. I thought I would have to wait awhile to get an appointment but they had an one available the next day. I came to Allied Physical Therapy with back and hip pain due to injury at the gym. My initial review was with Suzanne who was so kind and very knowledgeable. Suzanne explained everything so well and I felt very comfortable. After initial review I was told I should come back 2 times a week to start. My first session was with Scott Gray. I loved working with Dr. Gray because of his background in strength and conditioning. I felt he really understood what I was saying and he knew exactly what was wrong. Dr. Gray is also certified in ART (Active Release Technique) which I believe played a huge role in my recovery. Appointments with Dr. Gray would usually start with ART and then we would move into the rec room and work on some back and hip strengthening. I learned a lot during this time, not only about my muscles but I also learned a lot of new workouts and stretches that I now use in my everyday life. I also had several sessions with Matthew Harkness. These sessions were more hands on. Dr. Harkness is so kind and extremely knowledgeable. I appreciated that when Dr. Harkness worked with me he took the time to explain what he was doing and why. I love learning about the human body and I gained so much knowledge from Allied Physical Therapy along with being recovered and back to my passion of fitness. Thank you so much to everyone at Allied Physical Therapy!

I was searching for a good physical therapist for my husband and found Allied. He received services and during one of his appointments he was telling Elizabeth about an issue I was having with spine pain. She told him she could help me. WOW, was I excited! I made an appointment the next day and have been extremely happy to have found Allied Physical Therapy and Elizabeth Padron. I needed internal physical therapy (Pelvic Floor) that up to this point no one had been able to successfully help me with. I have been working with Elizabeth for most of a year now and she has successfully achieved the results that were needed to get me back to a healthy, painless state. Elizabeth is extremely knowledgeable, patient and persistent in getting the desired results. I dont know where I would be today without her expertise and kindness. She has also worked with me on some knee pain and balance issues of which she is also extremely knowledgeable. I might add that the entire staff at Allied is caring and determined to get their patients back to feeling good again. The ladies at the front desk are very friendly and helpful and always with a smile. Their phone presence is tops and they do all they can to assist with any appointments or billing questions. I finished my therapy just last week and was sad to say goodbye, for now, at least. I will be back should I have other health issues needing their expert attention. The best part is that you never need a doctor’s referral to get physical therapy and much of what they do can help to eliminate the doctor and drugs. Thank You Matt, Melissa and your fantastic staff! Great job!
