Tanner, our almost 4 year old Boxer, developed a bladder infection in the early morning hours this past Monday. Because of many food-related allergies since birth, Tanner has had to be treated with prednisone to control itching, hives, severe doggy odor, and redness of the skin. Dr. Taylor treated Tanner prior to this unexpected urinary infection. He was unavailable in the a.m. on Monday but we were told that we could bring Tanner in on a walk-in basis between 9 and 11 am and Dr. Hart would see Tanner. Long story short, Dr. Hart quickly diagnosed the bladder infection and started an aggressive treatment for Tanner. The treatment is being conducted in stages with various medications both by injection and orally. Once the medication regimen is complete, we will try to replace the prednisone treatments with another medication to control his allergies, hives, itching, redness of the skin. Thank you Dr. Hart and your assistant Courtney for your care and concern for Tanner. Actually, THANKS to the entire staff at Dade City Animal Clinic - you have never disappointed us at any time.

My last post reviewing Dade City Animal Clinic was 10 months ago. My position has only changed to report that this clinic has only gotten better. They deserve more than 5 stars including Dr. Hart. Since Dr. Hart came up with the injection regimen on a monthly basis, Tanner has responded more than we had hoped for, given where he was with scratching, hives, odor, loss of hair, etc. He now has a soft silky coat of hair with no bare spots, never has any odor, only scratches his ear out of dog habit (seems like the right thing to do), and no hives. Also, the clinic Doctors, Assistants, and staff go out of their way to make the visit as pleasant as possible. Thank you very much Dade City Animal Clinic. Sincerely, Tanner

After missing a call from them yesterday, I called the office to check on my "daughter" since she was getting spayed, the lady who answered the phone stated,"Listen to your voicemail then call us back." Then when my husband went to go pick our "daughter" up, the older lady behind the counter stated, "Are you here to pick SOMETHING up?" while on the phone with another animal family she kept referring to the animal as "IT" not him/her, or even as an animal! Due to this I will NEVER bring my pets back there as its obvious they hire non-compassionate staff who hate animals!

We bring our farm animals to Dr. Taylor. We drive over an hour and it is well worth the time and gas. No other office has taken the time to make us feel so at home. We trust Dr. Taylor and his staff. He tells it like it is. He is a very compassionate veterinarian as well as man. I cant say enough good things about his staff. From the moment you walk in until the moment you leave you are made to feel as if you are their number one priority. I have huge admiration for an office that lights a candle when a person looses a beloved family member. It touches my heart.

Reico, my little rescue dog, must have had a rough previous life. He needed all his shots, 6 teeth extracted, he tested heart worm positive, had to be altered ( not HIS favorite) and has a very sensitive digestive system. Reico is guessed to be 11 or so and at only 6 pounds things can go very wrong, very fast. Thanks to Dr. Hart and all the wonderful, caring Techs -They are helping me make Reicos last years his best . - THANK YOU - THANK YOU - THANK YOU !!!! Reicos Mom

BIG BEAUTIFUL CLINIC AND EVERYONE THERE LOVES ANIMALS. WE MOVED TO DADE CITY A LITTLE OVER A YEAR AGO, AND THIS PLACE IS REALLY CLOSE TO OUR HOME. WE TRUST THEM WITH OUR DOG MERLIN, AND NEVER THOUGHT TWICE ABOUT BOARDING HIM THERE FOR A FEW DAYS WHILE I HAD SURGERY OUT OF TOWN. HE VISITS REGULARLY FOR BATHING AND NAIL TRIMMING, AND LOVES THE PLACE- HE SEES IT AS A SOCIAL EVENT AND NOT A SCARY VET CLINIC. RECOMMEND THESE GUYS , AND NOW MY KITTIES WILL BE GOING TOO~

When my Chihuahua puppy jumped from my husbands hands and landed on her head and shoulder we were worried. All she wanted to do was sleep. I called Dade city Animal Clinic where Fawn is a patient and they had me bring her in immediately. She was fine and just sore. I cannot say enough great things about DCAC. Most other vets would want you to make an appointment, but this clinic is caring enough to say, "bring her in right away".Thanks to the staff and Dr.

Most vets you go to are good. They are good to the pets and good to their owners. And that is fine. Dade City Animal Clinic is WAY more that most vets. This clinic actually CARES about your little Fido or Fluffy. And they love the bigger ones to. They take GREAT care of horses as well! Partner that with an amazing staff, qualified competent vet techs, and a joyful, easygoing attitude that is almost palpable, and youve got yourself Dade City Animal Clinic!

We love Dade City Animal Clinic!! We live down in New Tampa, but started taking our dog there because our neighbor was one of their vets. He moved a few years ago, but when we tried to find something closer to home, NOTHING compared. The staff at DCAC are fabulous!! The care is FABULOUS!! The cost is the BEST around!! And they even adopt out animals. Thats how we got our current dog, & shes the most amazing dog ever (if we do say so ourselves :-))

Always a great experience, even if you have to wait. I never feel like I am just a number here. They take the time and I appreciate that. Both Dr. Taylor and Dr. Hart are fabulous and the staff are all not only friendly but extremely helpful and compassionate. I am so glad that I found this clinic to take my pets to and hope that we have a long relationship. I would HIGHLY recommend this clinic to anyone who is looking.

Dr.Chet Taylor took really good care of sparty.brought her in after she was vommitingup her food and blood and he gave her fluids and a shot to make her belly subside. Also recommended a different food and she is doing well now. He is very caring, knowledgeable and a pleasure to be around and the bill was Very inexpensive !! I have complete faith in Dr. Taylor when it comes to my dogs welfare. I recently took my dog in to see Dr. Taylor and he saved my dog an unneccessary surgery. He showed great compassion and concern for my dog and I will reccommend him to all of my friends. The staff there are all friendly and helpful and you could not ask for better service! There are pros and cons. The staff are friendly and the medical care is great. They may even assist you in payment options if its an emergency and money is short. However if you dont have an appointment you wont be seen until every appointment has been seen. This means sitting, waiting for hours with a bleeding/suffering animal. So if its an emergency, go find an animal hospital.
