We have been going to VR Pediatrics for over 2 years now. My 10 year old has Sensory Processing Disorder and ADD. I also have a 2 year old as well. Dr. Rodriquez is such a good listener and very patient with my big guy. He actually talks to my son instead of looking at me and asking me all of the questions. My son is 10 and can answer himself on how he is feeling. Dr. R is the first doctor to ever ask him directly how he is feeling. Dont get me wrong, Im his mother and know how he feels, but he has a voice and can be important in making solutions to feel better too.. The other thing I like is they actually take my opinion as a mother into full considerstion, because lets be honest a mother knows best about her child. The practitioners as well as Dr. R always listen to what I think is going on at the time and then they work together WITH me to come up with a solution. I have had Doctors in the past work against me I felt, but VR never acts as if they know what is going on with my child better than I do. If I want either of my children to see a specialist, they dont argue, they just write me a referral and send the specialist my number to set the appt. I cant say enough about the Practioners either. Both women are very knowledgeable and amazing with kids. They have never been anything but supportive, understanding, and never without a smile on their faces. You wouldnt know the difference between the Doctor and the Practioners except the fact that the Doctor is a male and the Practioners are females. I gave 4⭐⭐⭐⭐only because if you make an appointment that ends around lunchtime and you need to make a follow up appointment with the front desk lady or ask her any questions, she makes it very noticeable that she is bothered by you for interrupting her lunch time. She is only like that around lunch however. Other than that small issue with her and her lunch, the practice is amazing. The rooms have great toys and books to occupy kids during wait times and the waiting room has TVs and beautiful fish tanks to occupy kids until you are called. Ive never waited in the waiting room longer than 10 minutes ever. Honestly after shopping around for the best Pediatrician for my babies from Palm Coast down to Port Orange, I can say without any doubt, I have found my forever Pediatrician and I truly believe its the best office in town.

My children were dropped as patients from Dr. Rodriguez office because he didnt want to look at the the notes that the nurse was kind enough to write down for him and rush us out the door. Here is a tip doctor...when a patient comes in you should try to take care of all of the needs they come in to get addressed whether your having a bad day or not. I dont care about whats going on in your life at home or in the office, I care about my kids conditions and if you cant handle life then maybe you should take the day off. Here is another tip for you too...when someone gives you CONSTRUCTIVE criticism about your service take it as a learning experience rather than dropping your patients. What the hell is that about?! Do you do that often or were you just surprised when we said "Is the doctor coming back because he didnt go over everything that we wrote down on our chart?"...I would not recommend his practice to anyone...period! Not looking over a chart for our situation is not that bad since our kids conditions arent "Life Threatening" (but still serious)....who is to say that he doesnt do this for other parents were their kids do have life threatening conditions...maybe he missed something there because he failed to....wait for it...wait for it...keep waiting its really hard....READ ALL THE NOTES TO ADDRESS ALL THE ISSUES BEFORE LEAVING THE ROOM!

My child was dismissed from this terrible practice because of a negative interaction that I had with the staff - they told me that I was late for my appointment and would need to reschedule, but I was actually early. They had my daughter confused with another patient that was late. In addition, when I was discussing that they should really have a sick child and a well child waiting room that were separate from each other with my father, they dismissed us because I was "talking negatively" about their practice. I really liked the Nurse Practitioner during our first visit, so it is a shame that they would be so quick to dismiss an INFANT from their care because of an interaction that was not her fault at all. They are unable to accept any criticism of their practice, and if you read some of the other reviews, you will see that it is commonplace for them to dismiss patients under these circumstances. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.

my sons have been patients of Dr. Rodriguez for almost a year now, and he and his wonderful staff have been absolutely amazing! One of my sons had a medical emergency this morning wherein I needed to secure a referral to a specialist but didnt have an appointment - they scheduled us right in and handled the issue with the utmost professionalism! Thank you VR Pediatrics! If you are looking for the BESTPediatrics clinic, look no further! - Marshall Hubbard

This office has a live monitor in their "care". This is extremely bad because One the monitor is not in proper care at all. Monitors can be extremely dangerous if not taken care of properly and Definetly should not be around kids. Who ever had the logic of keeping a monitor in a pediatrics center needs to reconsider their life decision. Children should not be around a potentially very dangerous animal unless need be.

My son and I visited the ormond beach location and I have great things to tell about the staff. We saw two nurse practitioners who answered our questions thoroughly and kindly. I recommend this practice as all members of the staff are well informed and courteous. We did wait some time, the two patients ahead of us required extra time. This is understandable.

My children and I adore Dr. Brooke Powell. Every time she comes in, she always smile and greeting in postivites attitude. She took her time to look at each of my children and explained the diagnosis. She also leaves with positive too. She is a PERSON you would trust.

Dr. Rodriguez is wonderful with our kids. My youngest sees him often and always has a big hug for him. He is great at not only talking to her in a calm and easy going manner, but he responds well to any concerns and questions I have.
