I always liked Dr. Rich and we have used his office for nearly 6 years and thru 4 children. We noticed major changes after his office staff changed and Nurise(I know Im not spelling that right) left. We continued using him, but found that the other PAs didnt seem to care about anything you were saying. Then on top of that we had problems with the office manager and billing after I had my youngest son last year which would take way too much to explain here, but needless to say that money has become far more important than care in this practice. Then to add to it, I was running late to an appointment and insteam of 15 mins late it would be 20 mins. I told them I was on my way and I was literally on the phone with them and they said they wouldnt see me. I literally wait 45 mins and sometimes more than an hour to be seen and they knew I was on my way and refused to see us citing office policy. Thats fine. Maybe we should start billing for all the hours they are running late. Finally, I had made appointments for 2 of my kids for this last week and came down with a massive stomach bug and couldnt find anyone to take them for me, so I called and let them know I couldnt make it. Today I receive a notice that they are discharging me from their practice. Im actually very happy because this is forcing me into something I shouldve done a while ago. I just cannot recommend this office.

Sunshine Pediatric have been my childrens pediatric care for more than 4 years but that ends. Ever since Nurse Nurise left the pratice it has seem to go downhill. Although I love Dr. Rodriguez tremendously, the other physicians are not as caring in my opinion. Half of the staff look as though they dont even want to be there . My last experience was horrible, I went in for a 10am appointment for my baby 4 month wellness visit , mind you I live over an hour away. I got there at 9:30am, they called us into the back room and did the basics by 10:15.. then we waited till 11:15am!!!! Still without being seen by the doctor! I could not wait any longer for I had to pick up my other child from school, so I left. I also, emailed them regarding the situation .. I was highly upset that I drive so far not to have been seen or Not even to get an apology for the wait. No one called me back or emailed me back. All this doctor office seem to care about now is just $$$. 2 months later still never got a call back. Wouldnt recommend this office unless you can stand to wait hours before your appointment and put up with physicians who seem not to care.

While I agree, Dr Rodriguez likes to talk and takes a very laid back attitude towards immunizations (one of the reasons we choose him), lately, the wait is out of control. I have been going to him for 3 years and one of the things I LOVED about going there was that I was in and out quickly. The last 4 or 5 visits (well visits with my second child) the visit takes anywhere from an hour and a half to 2 hours!!! Also, the nurse practitioner seems to lecture on parenting (make sure you put sunscreen on, watch them around pools etc..) which I absoulutely cant stand. Yesterday, she actually said to my 3 year old who was sitting on my husbands lap and obviously frightened "if you dont let me listen to your heart I will put you up on the table". That furiated me and I told her that she was not to speak to my kids in that way. I have spoken with Dr. Rodriguez about the wait and his response was "I am getting to be popular!" We will be changing doctors. I dont think it is too much to ask someone to respect my time.

I am SO HAPPY we found this pediatricians office! What a breath of fresh air. Really. This is the first office we have been to that honors us as parents and values our intuition. They support vaccinations, but do not treat us like we are horrible parents because we have decided not to. They are educated about the issue with fluoride in the water, they are funny, friendly and very caring. I can say that the wait is sometimes a bit lengthy, but anywhere else we have been, the wait has been just as long if not longer. Nurise Pierre the Physicians Assistant is who we see and we LOVE her! She is so great with our lil ones and has a great bedside manner. Also very very thorough and is doing testing for my one son that should have been done a long time ago, but the other doctors just didnt. IDK why. Anyways, I recommend this office to any parent!

Dr. Rodriquez is one of the best doctors I have taken my children to (my oldest is 17 and we have moved a lot). He spends a lot of time with us and really makes my little one feel comfortable. He listens to parents and is laid back. However, lately the wait is out of control to see even the nurse. We actually havent seen Dr. Rodriguez in a year, just his nurse. I take my teenagers to a different pediatrician and we get in and out, well or sick, very quickly. Our time is valued. It isnt valued at Sunshine anymore. Great doctor. Just maybe too many patients. To schedule a vaccine only appointment is difficult as they only do it twice a week. And, the waiting room is small and there is no separate area for well and sick kids and shared toys. We are leaving and finding a new pediatrician for our son.

Dr. Rodriquez was amazing at talking me through all the different immunizations and allowing me to administer them at a much slower scheduling. I have had such horrible experiences with other doctors offices in this area, and it was so nice to have him talk me through each ones pros and cons. He was also very understanding with my Healthcare Savings Plan insurance. He tried to be very conscious of costs on my part without lessening the quality or safety of my kids. I walked out of his doctors office almost in tears because it was such a pleasant experience.

I am currently changing pediatricians because the office employees are horrible and so far I am not impressed with the employees at Sunshine Pediatrics. They give conflicting information, they are inconsistent and have poor attitudes. I have not even met the doctor and do not plan to. Is it so difficult to find a doctors office with competent professional employees?

Dr Rodriguez Rocks he is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He doesnt push the immunizations on you like most others. He has a great personality and actually will stand and talk with you and answer questions! Wow, finnaly a doctor that is not just trying to rush through patients. He actually cares. Thanks

Calling multiple times during business hours and no one picks up, neither nurse line or front desk. Left a message about my sick child, to determine if they feel I should bring him in and no response after 2 hours. Not a bad doctor, but if you cant contact them, not very good for stressed out parents.

I love Dr. Rodriguez and his staff. The wait is long in every office, its not a surprise that the wait can be long here too. Dr. Rodriguez actually cares about his patients and treats everyone with respect which is rare in my experience. We live 30 mins away and wouldnt dream of switching doctors.
