I understand that at a doctors facility that takes various patients near a hospital you can be busy. I also understand that there may be a large amount of individuals calling in on a consistent basis, that is all well and good. But what I dont understand is the woman (whoever she was) that I just got done speaking with on the phone. Early this morning I requested to see Dr. Dawkins because he is labeled as PCP on my insurance card. That means his office is in charge of my primary care. I should be able to get in and see him if it is a necessity. When I asked if it would be possible to come in this week or next, I was sarcastically told that I wouldnt get in for well over another month. Then when I asked if Dr. Dawkins had any associates he could refer me to, I was hung up on. I understand that the medical world has policies and procedures, but a physicians care begins the moment one of their employees answers the phone. Because my matter is fairly urgent, I will be visiting a local urgent care center. Why give the facility two stars? Because I am giving the doctor and the rest of his staff the benefit of the doubt. But because the only person I have had the "pleasure" to associate this office with was little to know help and has yet to return my call, I can not provide a better rating.

so when have a Dr appointment the nurse brings you back and asks you questions and whats wrong and so on. One of the questions they ask is if you need any refills. It dont matter if you say yes or no because nothing ever happens and never goes to the pharmacy or they never give the prescription that u need refilled.. So when you call to get your prescription refilled " after they ask if you need refills and nothing ever comes of it" you get put on hold for 45 min.. then someone answers takes your info and what meds you need refilled and they say, we will send it right over. That never happens so now you are stuck calling the on call service.. you do this 3-4 time and wait for the Doctor to call you back and that never happens.. So the meds that you have to take and cant stop you cant because you cant get a script refilled at all.. deserves 0 stars but isnt a option.

His office in Port St Lucie is a TERRIBLE PLACE! My mom went there two times and has yet to see the elusive doctor, only saw the nurse practitioner, who half assedly explained her blood test results to her and when she called to speak with him about it, she was on hold for close to 30 mins when the receptionist ( who by the way has some sort of cognitive deficiency) finally came back on the phone she asked her to have him call her back, they never returned her call. That 5 star rating is a joke. The office staff is grossly IMCOMPETENT. No stars would be more appropriate. Obviously the "great Physician" is not capable of efficiently handling two offices. If you want to get an appointment to see him you have to wait at least two months. Ridiculous!

My mother died because he made the wrong diagnosis which resulted in her death. Most of my families are patience of his (no longer) with a history of heart disease yet he failed to refer her to a cardiologist. After she died he had the nerve to tell me she didn’t need to see a cardiologist as she didn’t have any symptoms. I am suing…..

Went to see Dr. Dawkins and saw the Dr. Kelley the Nurse Practioner she was great very caring and took the time to talk to you about you medical needs. I have never had them not call me back from the front office or the Dr. I would recommend this office to anyone. Great Job Dr. Dawkins and Dr. Kelly.

This "doctor" dumped my boyfriend out of Lawnwood. Told me to take him somewhere else. I have since found out this is against Federal guidelines. He shouldnt be allowed to practice!
