This was a terrible trip to this so called endodontist. They made sure they received their money, billing my insurance 120.00 and charging my credit card 93.00 for a consultation , and lets not forget the X-ray they had to make for an additional 25.00. They made me turn my cell phone completely off and the assistant took it upon herself to turn my cell phone off. So after the X-ray was taken , basically I was told that he couldnt help me and they told me to go to another dentist to pull my tooth.i couldnt believe it!! So the assistant got on the phone like they were the referring Doctor and called the other dentist. I asked if she could just ask them if they could do a same day extraction. All of a sudden , Dr. Deason came marching down the hallway and said this " I have a good repor with these doctors and we will not ask them to change the way they change , or ask them to change the way they do business. I was shocked, I was never talked to by a doctor/ dentist in the way he talked to me.i said "you are so rude" , I should report him I said. Dr. Deason said to me "Leave, Get out of my office".... And continued to say that while he held the door open to make me leave.This So called Dentist was very rude and horrific. I paid for the services that he didnt give me by being rude and forcing me to leave, and I want to mention that he said I could report him to the board of Dentistry. I am doing just that , I am reporting him. Oh, by the way, his assistant called me up and said that they would sue me for defamation of character if I went around telling everyone that they double dipped or whatever they were accusing me of. Believe me, this was the worst experience of my life!!!! I didnt care about their way of getting their money but I do care about their rudeness and Horrible Bed side manners.Even the staff was rude. Please save yourself the trouble and skip this horrible Endodontist and his staff!!!!!

My visit to Dr. Deason today was a waste of time and very very frustrating. I was asked to come in early, which I did, then I waited in a freezing waiting room for almost an hour to be seen. When they call you back they ask you if you have a cell phone and then will practically freak out if you dont want to give it to them or leave it in your car (which is not a good idea considering the neighborhood). I have no idea what the problem is with having your phone in your purse on or off.. its really not their place or business to say you cant have it- its personal property. The only reason I finally relented is because my tooth hurts so bad.. but trust me, I dont know who the hell they think they are but its seriously rude! I saw the Dr. for about 15 minutes where he told me he couldnt do anything to go back to my regular dentist, and this is after I paid him $145.00 (trust me they make sure you pay BEFORE you go to the back...). So Im out a whole day of work to drive to Ft Walton to freeze in a waiting room for an hour, spend 145.00, get harassed about my phone and be told to go somewhere else.. they have some nerve. I will definitely be complaining to my referring dentist about this. This place is rude and completely unprofessional.. use someone else!

WOW! HOLY COW! Have no idea who the reviews below are talking about. Dr Heath Deason is a complete professional and has a caring side to him which all health care folks must have. Went for a root canal, and I am the worst patient period! Staff was helpful and made me feel at ease. Dr Deason came in quickly put me at ease and proceeded to perform a painless root canal! Had me out the door in no time and checked on me after. Did they ask me to pay them YEP its a business! Dr Deason will take care of his patients and staff at all costs. His professional bearing and character were unquestionable during my visit! All my kids will go to Dr Deason for such procedures because I can trust he will care for them like his own kids. Thank you Dr Deason!

My wifes appt was cancelled due to a error on the staffs behalf. Our referring dentist told them we they werent sure if they had our correct phone number it couldve been a 8 or a 5. We never received a call, but when she went to her appointment we were told they canceled it due to no confirmation, even though we received no notice or apology for the mix up. My wife lost a full days pay as well. When she actually visited the office they collected her entire CO pay of 368$. We were not told ahead of time this entire payment would be due at time of service which was inconvient for us. Very disappointed with our service.

I have been a patient of Dr. Deason since 2007. Three (3) root canals later, I must admit, this is the doctor I would highly recommend in Fort Walton Beach/ Destin area. The staff was polite, office was very nice, and the doctor is very competent. As much as I dislike dental problems, Dr. Deason made it a great experience with as little pain as possible. The procedures went very well with no issues afterwards. Also, unlike other doctors offices, the waiting time was below 10 minutes!

Dr. Deason performed a root canal on one of my back teeth. He was thorough and did a complete exam ahead of the procedure to make sure the treatment was what I needed before doing the work to save the tooth. Dr. Deason himself called my office the next day to follow up on the procedure I had the day before to make sure I was doing ok. We are lucky to have such a good Dr. in our community.
