gross. directions were terrible-- rather than driving back & forth on busy east bay, all they had to say was "behind the panda express in an old strip mall." front door was grubby. grey carpet was dirty & stained. equipment was crowded & basically heaped up in the middle of the room. left work, arrived early, then was kept waiting, all while i was in pain from left shoulder swimmers shoulder & cramping dupruytrens disease in left hand. its basically one large room with no privacy; there were massage tables in the back, but the curtains did not look like they worked. rachel ray was blaring on the tv? that was the worst; i could not hear myself think. phone kept ringing-- even though the tv was too loud, i heard everything the male receptionist and another female worker were discussing with patients on the phone. when i was in the back of the room-- again, no privacy-- there was lots of old equipment piled up against the back wall. there were 4 elderly women when i was there-- one was being treated to the left-hand side of a desk while another woman at the same desk was trying to explain what was wrong, why she couldnt work, etc, one very elderly & frail woman was walking all alone & unsupervised up & down some wooden stairs, & one very old woman was trying to pay part of her bill. again, the other therapist, who was only a few feet in front of me, was treating an old womans right arm in some sort of sleeve machine while talking loudlyto be heard by another woman who was trying to tell her about why she couldnt work, her ailment, etc.-- none of this was any of my business, but i was only a few feet ahead? all that ended up happening was i paid a $35 co-pay to be told that i had the wrong prescription from the orthopedist? i immediately, afterwards drove to & told my primary care doctors office about this (the receptionist said she was emailing the doctor my complaints, but there has been no follow up), i called the referral specialist-- ive called twice, left 2 detailed messages, but 3 days later she has not called me back; i called humana customer service about this-- all they offered to do was get me out of jsa medical (i like my new doctor); ive spoken to my primary care doctors office about this 3 times-- no real response; the orthopedic doctors office suggested i call another cora & ask them to transfer my records, which i did (come to find out, thanks to google, theres a cora rehab right by my house on park boulevard, but monday afternoon im to drive over to a cora rehad near the skyway?)-- & i called & spoke to the referring orthopedic doctors office. finally, my vets office-- midway animal hospital-- is nicer, cleaner & much more professional.

I have a C-5 C6 quadriplegic. When I entered Cora from my first appointment, I was greeted by a very enthusiastic professional Jessica..Over the past couple of months I have seen Jessica as a true professional. She runs that front desk, makes appointments, takes payments works with the phone talks to everyone that enters and exits the clinic and does so with a smile on her face, a genuine smile! Stephanie is my Occupational Therapist. Since my injury eight years ago, I always seem to leave therapy feeling defeated. This is not the case with Stephanie. She certainly gives me quite the workout! She is such a motivator and encourages me to want to push myself. to treat me as a whole person and thats important and healing. The other great thing about Cora is that I have my physical therapy there also with Debbie. This is a great benefit for me because she works along with my occupational therapist and by doing so, I benefit even further with my workout. Debbie also is a great motivator, has so much experience and I dont feel like anyone is giving up on me here. They may not be fully equipped to work with a person that is a quadriplegic but that has not prevented them from safely giving me the best care I have received since my injury. Who says you cant strengthen your core muscles, your arms and anything else from the wheelchair! Together, Stephanie and Debbie have given me some hope where there wasnt any at all. I am already seeing results after a very short time. I feel better. It makes me want to eat healthier, I am in less pain, I sleep better and I find myself doing exercises on my own at home thanks to their motivation and there belief that I can improve and be better and stronger every day! I only wish I would have knew about Cora years ago! I happened to read some comments when I initially finished my review and was compelled to come back and say a few things. If you are coming to Cora it is for rehabilitation. They have gym equipment. They have lots of other things that they may have you do that sound so menial yet you will realize that these little task are some of the most important ones and The hardest to do. This is not a country club. This is the place you come for rehabilitation for whatever reason. You have amazing professionals ready to help you, to encourage you and properly instruct you as you complete different exercises and or task. You will get out of it what you put into it. So work hard! There are so many people that only wish they had the opportunity you do before you to get better! Good luck

I have never had the pleasure being helped by so many skilled, personable and humorous people in one place. I have been going there a about 3 months now do to a total ankle replacement. everyone one there, right down to Jessica, whom makes my appointments, are so compassionate and so willing to work around your schedule. All staff there, including staff that have been there from other locations, are so accommodating, but, they make sure you stick to your assigned therapy. I look forward to going there every appointment. and I can tell you, these people here are a special bunch, as I had to do PT at the 34th St. S., St. Pete location, and it was nowhere near a comparison. All these folks deserve an award for skill, performance and compassion. and for making every experience fun, even when they are hurting you. Just kidding. Healing hurts sometimes, and they are very astute in this area. they always want to make sure you are not going beyond your limits and causing needless pain: but at the same time, helping you progress and meet your goals. they have a 5 star rating from me. And if your scale went higher, my rating would be higher! Respectfully and grateful, Doris Hidalgo-Mota

Having been in the Occupational Therapy field for 13 years and having worked for many different therapy companies, I know the good companies and therapists from the bad. CORA Rehab is one of the best out there. Jessica, the receptionist, always greets you when you step through the door. Once you do so, you will get the sense of a professional, friendly, relaxed atmosphere. The therapists at CORA have a wide variety of equipment, modalities, and other "bells and whistles" at their disposal to achieve the best outcomes for their patients. Debi runs the clinic like clock-work and provides excellent Physical Therapy at the same time. Mickey provides the laughter, but hes all business when it comes to treating patients. They, and the rest of the therapists, are very knowledgeable and caring, and all have excellent interaction with their patients. If you are seeking good, positive, lasting results from therapy, CORA Rehab is the place to go.
